We enjoyed our stay at Honua Kai. Always a great place. The condo was great my only suggestion would be a couple lounge chairs on the patio and some lighter blankets for the beds. Other than that it was excellent

Perfect!

The property was beautiful, and the condo was exactly as was listed. Fun pools, nice workout facility, underground parking, and right on the water with ocean views. Would definitely stay here again. The check in process was so easy. Any question that I had I received a response within 15 minutes. We even had a tropical storm that came through and Maui rentals communicated with us before during and after the storm to make sure everything is OK.

Perfect!!

Love this property! It’s gorgeous, very clean, seemed more spacious than expected, good property managers, wonderful transportation provided to west Maui sites with punctual pick up times and great drivers (tip for drivers was our only cost for this service). Couldn’t ask for a more perfect or beautiful condo. I could tell the owners take pride in their property by the gorgeous artwork. My only critique would be that we needed more towel hanging bars in the bathroom, and a retractable clothes line over the tub for wet bathing suits. Amazing view, great hot tubs.

Vacation

The condo was very nice and the staff on site were very pleasant. The beach had a lot of coral And rocks so not conducive for bathing and relaxing but some decent snorkeling for stronger swimmers. The kitchen is well equipped however if you are going to bake buy some disposable trays and pans at the grocery store has all they have are two skillets and a pot.

Had a little trouble finding bldg at first. No more valet parking. Took a while to get luggage and groceries brought up. Could have done of myself. Not their fault. Short staffed? Couldn’t find number to let them know we were leaving early.

This unit was Magical

I can not say enough good things about this unit! We loved the view and loved the huge lanai! We spent most of our evenings out there enjoying the sunset! The room fit our family of 6 amazing! The two king beds in the second bedroom was so great! Kitchen was well stocked and loved that there was beach chairs, cooler & umbrella. We have stayed at many units at the Honukai and this was by far our favorite! We can’t wait to come again!

Beautiful condo, a few things broken

The Honua Kai is a great property with lots of amenities. Well maintained resort and beautiful grounds. Better for families with younger kids than teenagers. Honua Kai 407 had a couple little broken items. Dryer door didn’t close and we had to prop it shut so it would work. Light in laundry room was broken as well, as was the corkscrew. We ran out of garbage bags too and had to ask for extra toiletries because bathrooms were stocked with one bar of soap for sink and shower. These were minor inconveniences but detracted a little bit from our enjoyment of the condo. That said, it was nice to have 2 beds in the second bedroom so my teenage sons could each have their own bed.

Konea 407

Everything with the unit and management company were great. It's our 4th time staying at the Honua Kai. We love the property and the units are always clean. The only issue this time was with the cleanliness of the actual condo grounds. It seems we just saw quite a few over-flowing trash cans on the grounds and the walking paths, pool & hot tubs weren't as clean as they usually are. Mostly the decks of the pool and the areas between the hot tubs and pool. Not a deal breaker, but not up to snuff for this property.

Always Great

Always a great stay. The unit has a great layout, the pool is fun for kids, Duke's on site, and the whole complex is far enough outside of Lahaina to avoid all the traffic.

Great experience!

#407 was amazing! Very neat, clean, and well stocked. 2 full bathrooms both with tubs and showers. Beautiful view and close to the pools and the beach. Beach chairs in the closet and a small general store in the hotel. Fire pit at night and wonderful balcony view of the ocean.

First time in Maui

We loved the Honua Kai unit 407. The view was spectacular and the condo had everything we needed. The location was perfect. We liked to walk along the beach path in the morning. The many pools were nice and having Duke's onsite was an added bonus. The resort uses keyless wristbands to enter the room, garage, building and to get pool towels. We liked the convenience of this. Perfect place for our family of 5.

Outstanding condo!

We loved this place and only wish we could have stayed longer. This is a luxurious unit and everything is exceptionally well maintained. The appliances and cookware look brand new. The view is terrific, and the grounds and beach are fantastic. It is also nice that Duke's is only a short walk away. The open floor plan, and the way all the windows open up create an incredibly airy space. We left this gorgeous place for another island, which was a mistake! We want to go back.
