Excellent Location

We have stayed at Honua Kai many times and we love the location and amenities. The property and pools are beautiful. There is really good snorkeling right in front of the hotel, and the sandy beach is fantastic. We love the three bedroom unit. It accommodates a large family very comfortably. The beds are very comfortable. The fold out couch is tolerable, but not comfortable. My biggest disappointment was the outdoor furniture on the lanai. It is torn and very dirty - unacceptable for what this unit charges.

Not enough parking, less than helpful concierge. Broken stove broken microwave. Did have lots of plates and utensils. Would have like to have some food storage containers, spices, plastic wrap and tin foil.

Love honoa Kai but not this unit

This is our second time staying on this property but not this unit. Our first time was much better. This unit was infested with roaches. Had a roach cross my daughter’s dinner plate while eating even. The bedroom shades were broken, the back of the couch torn and the outdoor patio furniture were in horrible condition including rips.

Beautiful unit with great amenities

We had an excellent week in this beautiful unit. Lots of space and great for three couples. The grounds are beautiful and pools plentiful. It’s a bonus to have Duke’s restaurant and a good general store right on property.

Perfect for 3 couples

We absolutely loved this unit. Two of the bedrooms have connecting baths and the other bedroom has a bath right across the hallway. Everything was clean and in good working order. So nice to have a spacious living/dining area. Plenty of room for everyone to eat, play games, etc. We would definitely stay here again!

Great spot for the whole family

We stayed here with our teen kids and my parents. My sister and her family booked another place in the same complex, definitely not as nice! Lovely kitchen, huge bathrooms, lovely lanai.

Family Thanksgiving get away

Perfect location for family holiday. Beautiful condo. We had two mechanical complications, but maintenance was there to address the issues within an hour. We have enjoyed the Hanoa Kai for years and look forward to many returns.

Family vacation

Spacious and beautifully updated unit. Snorkelling was just down a few minutes walk on the beach. Maui resort rental was great, always ready and quick to assist. Used the courtesy shuttle a few times, very convenient.

Crawling Guests

The property itself and all amenities were wonderful and as advertised. We had a small family reunion, so all ages enjoyed the pools, ocean, restaurants and location. However, our unit (#249) also came with cockroaches in the kitchen (including the refrigerator) and living room areas. This situation dramatically altered our eating plans, as we were hesitant to store food and ended up eating most meals out or had food delivered from local restaurants, adding to our total trip cost $$$. This was disruptive to our overall stay, at an otherwise great resort.

Great family resort

Views, pools, a full kitchen, indoor outdoor living with a huge lanai. While the condos are luxuriously equipped, Honua Kai is not a stuffy place, you can bring your grandchildren and not worry if they squeal when they go down the slide in the pool.

Perfect Family Accomodations

Loved our stay at Honua Kai. The condo was very spacious and comfortable. We loved having a fully stocked kitchen, washer / dryer and room to spread out. We loved the location in West Maui as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous Honua Kai Property

We had a great stay. The unit is amazing with 3 bedrooms, a nice kitchen and bathrooms. It was also well priced relative to other 3 bedrooms. The property is great - walking distance to the beach and great pools for family members of all ages. Also Duke’s is right there for poolside ordering, lunch, or dinner.

EXCELLENT OWNERSHIP IS KEY!

This is a great property. We booked in 2020 which of course didn’t work out and the owners and management company worked with us. This is a great place to stay for a large family or multi generational family. All bedrooms have their own bathroom. Close proximity to everything. Great little store on site for essentials. EXCELLENT KITCHEN. The absolute and only negative was there was no ocean view due to trees. But the grounds are gorgeous so it didn’t matter. I would highly recommend this unit.

Excellent Location and Space for Everyone

Excellent experience overall! Unit was large with excellent bathrooms and kitchen. Loved being on the 2nd floor. Pics in listing are very accurate. Some view of beautiful blue ocean. Resort location, pools, and pool staff were excellent too. Parking at night was a little challenging though. We would definitely recommend this unit👍 Items for owner to attend to- Dishwasher didn’t work, tablet with condo details & instructions wouldn’t charge, refridg didn’t close well, ice continually feel out of bottom of freezer. We are also VRBO prop. owners, so I’m sharing just so owners are aware.

Heavenly!

We had a wonderful stay! The unit was beautiful and I loved the view of the pool and the partial ocean view from the balcony (which was huge). It was perfect for our group of 8, enough room for everyone. The resort was perfect for our family, everyone found something to do! The pools were great and while the beach wasn't ideal- kind of narrow, not a lot of room to spread out, they have a walking path that connects the nearby resorts and you could walk down a bit where the beach was bigger. The management company was great to work with, they responded super quick to our every request. It was a little confusing checking in because the building we were staying in doesn't have a checkin area- and the two buildings are called the same thing. But the valet check-in worked out fine once we got to the right building. Overall, we had the perfect trip! I would highly recommend this unit!
