Honoa Kai doesn't dissapoint

We love staying on this property, the amenities are great, with Duke's onsite and several pool options available. the staff was friendly onsite and the support from Maui Vacation Rentals was very responsive. this particular condo was well cleaned and decorated well, the partial ocean view was mainly viewable from the lanai, with a little view from the bedroom. we saw whales breaching in the morning of our stay from the lanai.

Beautiful location very accommodating clean. The only problem is the dryer does take a little bit longer to dry items, but knowing that we just planned ahead. Would highly recommend staying here beautiful opportunity.

Amazing engagement celebration

My partner and I travelled to Maui for our 8 year anniversary, or so she thought. I proposed 2 days into our trip so it turned into our engagement celebration. Everything about this property was awesome! The pools and jacuzzis were great, and they provide towels. The beach directly in front of the property was gorgeous and never crowded, The snorkeling was out of this world! We saw a turtle everyday when we snorkeled. Overall 10/10 experience. Cannot wait to come back in the future!

Could have been a amazing, but needs some help on the details

We’ve stayed at most of the nicer resorts in west Maui before and decided to try this resort after visiting Dukes several times on our last trip. The unit was well built and worked well for our family of 4. That being said, it seemed like the owner must not ever stay there are there were many simple but important details missing that would have made it so much better. Sleep is a priority us on vacation and it’s rare my wife likes a bed, but she liked this one, however they desperately need new linens on both the the king and the pull out. Extra floor mats and wash cloths would have been nice given the amount of showers after being in the sun. The kitchen had the absolute minimum (no tongs for instance, so hard to cook bacon). There is little storage and not enough hangers for a family of 4. The team at Maui Resort Rentals was responsive and professional to the couple quick things we asked about. The unit was quite, had a pretty nice view and we loved eating on the lanai each morning. The resort itself has nice pools, but like many places, you need to be down there quite early (8ish) to get seats in the shade or with sight lines to the poo to see your kids (thinking some of the hedges have become overgrown). Two days there were issues with guests playing annoying music at the pool all day- sign says it’s not allowed, but the resort didn’t address even after we raised 4+ times. Overall, doubt we will be back without some improvements in the details.

Paradise and Great Location

The property was great and convent to everything. The only reason I said the property listing accuracy was rated less than 5 is all the hidden fees. When we booked the price did not show ask the extra fees which were substantial. When list a price those fees should be part of the price.

Great stay

We enjoyed our family vacation on Maui. The unit was perfect for a family of 4, was clean and well appointed, and the balcony had a nice view of the ocean. Maui Resort Rentals was also very responsive to our questions and requests. We will be back.

Great home base for family with young kids

The view is only from one end of the lanai and one side of the master bed, but it was lovely and a fantastic value for the price and the quality/convenience of the condo. The kids loved the water slide and I was very happy to be able to confidently and easily take our almost 2 year old down it in my lap. Would love to stay there again.

Loved it!

The property and grounds were great. Enjoyed everything. The only thing we would like to see is maybe an adults only pool area. My wife loves jacuzzi's but didn't feel comfort going into them with kids already occupied. Other than that, everything else was on par.

Nice View, Shaded Balcony

As always, Honua Kai is a very nice resort to stay at. Loved the view from this balcony, and that it was always shaded., worked well for us. Make your Dukes reservations before you arrive, they are very busy for dinner but never disappoint.

Amazing Property

Loved the Honua Kai Resort but it is full of families so if you want something more adult then head elsewhere. The concierge was so helpful booking all our activities from dinner reservations to snorkeling all day. The one issue with this specific condo was the hot water in the tub and shower sometimes wouldn’t work and it was difficult to get ahold of anyone after hours. Otherwise, great location, great condo, amazing trip.

THanksgiving

I reserved three units in this tower. My boys and their families came with us for Thanksgiving and it was a great trip. Building was clean, pools are fun for the kids. Convenient location to Dukes and walkways.

We enjoyed the condo, a bit small for 4 of us adults though. Nice deck. The Honua Kai property absolutely has to get the pool area chaise lounges or chairs. It is an everyday task to find a place around the pool. Many saved with towels very early and no-one in them. Still 3 hrs later. Dukes restaurant also needs some improvement in service. We have been there many times and this was the poorest service we have seen. Either no servers or HUGE lines at bar and bartenders ignoring the line.

Great vacation!

Easy and relaxing is the beat way to describe this place. Beautiful location. Only issue was no reservations available ever all week at the on-site restaurant Dukes but enough others in the area. Reserve weeks ahead of arrival. Accommodations were perfect. Highly recommend.

Loved this property! Clean, nicely decorated and the location was great! We loved the lanai and the big Nana Wall door--opened it every day! Honua Kai is a beautiful resort, we'll definitely stay again!

Nice getaway

Honua Kai is a beautiful development and this unit was lovely. We enjoyed coffee every morning on the balcony watching the whales and dolphins playing in the ocean. The views are incredible with rainbows galore. It was a such a nice getaway. We will be back!

As Advertised

A nice property. Accommodations are as advertised. You can sit and watch whales from the deck while enjoying your morning coffee and then head to the beach or pool for a day in the sun! Maui Resort Rental staff were very good at communicating prior to arrival and throughout the stay. A very enjoyable vacation.

Incredible views and a perfect home away from home.

Our stay could not have been better, from booking all the way through check out. It was so nice to just relax on the balcony watching whales surface in the distance. The condo had everything we needed to cook meals and do laundry, and the underground parking was easy and convenient. Check in with the bellman was simple, as was checkout. We were contacted several times during our stay just to make sure everything was ok. Highly recommended!
