I’ve stayed at Ka’anapali Royal multiple times over the years and continue to find it a great value. While the properties are older, they offer spacious 2-3 bedroom, 2-bath condos just a short walk from the beach—at about half the cost of oceanfront options. My family appreciates the space and savings. The quality of units can vary, so reviews and photos are essential before booking. This time, we stayed in a third-floor unit with partial ocean views and a beachy, comfortable interior. The living space was generous, and the lanai was perfect for relaxing. With separate bedrooms and bathrooms for my wife and me and our college-age kids, it was a very comfortable setup—especially with ceiling and portable fans throughout. That said, several small issues added up and took away from an otherwise great stay:Outdated, slow TVs made relaxing in the evening difficult.A weak garbage disposal that struggled to function properly.Only one working burner on the induction stove.A noisy washer next to a bedroom—impractical for overnight use.Minimal BBQ tools—just basic tongs and plastic spatulas. No in-unit guide for Wi-Fi, appliance instructions, or local tips. These aren't dealbreakers individually, but collectively they diminish the experience. I’ve stayed in better-equipped units in this complex. If these fixes aren't made, I’d likely choose a different unit next time.
