Aloha! This is our 2nd stay at Honua Kai. The Resort is so beautiful, modern, well maintained and has everything you need within walking distance. We especially LOVED this unit because it is ground floor and literally STEPS to the many sparkling pools, Dukes for all day dining / cocktails and the BEACH! This unit was immaculate. Very Spacious with all you need in the kitchen to cook up a meal. TV's in all the rooms. Huge bathrooms. A/C. My family on reflection felt this was one of the best Maui trips we've been on. Check in and out was easy and Monty our contact was VERY helpful and accommodating. We would rent here again 100%.Small recommend: Two coffee cups might not be enough for multiple guests. Mahalo!

Fantastic!

We loved our stay! The unit is perfectly located, easy in and out from the lanai, is a good size and with the bonus of 2kings in the 2nd bedroom.Perfect if you have kids as the pools are right around the corner, but there was minimal noise that actually reached the unit, that was a huge plus. Easy to valet and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Property is .Monty was great when we needed boogie boards and some bedding, he had those dropped off right away.The only improvements I would love to see are better sheets and pillows for the bedrooms and the furniture/Decor is a little dated. Also, they’d had a second small couch, instead of a chair, it would’ve provided more/better seating for everyone to gather in the living room. Also note that there is a beach in front of the condos, but it is a little rocky and can be rough. We ended up driving to Napili Bay and Kapalua Bay which had calmer water but it’s an easy drive.Overall, this was a fantastic unit and we would absolutely stay there again. Thanks!

Perfect Spot

We traveled with our four children ranging from 15 to 6. We chose this specific condo because it had two king size beds in the same room where all our children could sleep. The ground floor level and location of this condo was perfect. We didn’t have to use an elevator to get to our room and could easily walk straight out of the condo to the pools and to the beach.The condo was clean and just as pictured. It included many helpful extras like beach chairs, boogie boards and sand toys. We will stay here again.

Two Years in a Row!

This was the second year in a row we stayed at a property with this owner, and we once again had an amazing vacation. We loved waking up every morning and eating breakfast as a family outside, and then would walk to the beach and often finish our days at Duke’s. The property itself is super clean with a modern kitchen and so much space for the family. Would book again in a heartbeat!!!

An Incredible Family Vacation!

We took our first ever family vacation to Maui recently, and were thrilled with our experience with this lovely, inviting, and clean place! Our son has allergies, so the kitchen was a necessity. Brandon answered all of our questions about shipping food and supplies in advance of our stay. The kids had so much space to hang out and play, and we ate breakfast outside every morning with a view of the ocean from the ground floor! The beach here is so nice, and just a two-minute walk from your door. We ended everyday with beach time and dinner at Duke’s (also a quick walk!). The resort itself was an easy drive away from everything we wanted to do on the island. Monty was so nice and provided all of the information needed for convenient check in and check out. In short, we 100% plan on a return visit!

Family vacation

The unit’s location was very convenient. We could go straight to the pool from the lanai and it was a short hop to the beach. Parking underground was limited so anytime we returned from dinner after eight or nine we had to park outside. The only suggestion I have is for some fresh pots and pans. Thanks for a great vacation condo!

Practically Perfect in every way

This unit exceeded every expectation. The location could not have been better. It was on the main floor and the doors opened up to the courtyard, the pools, and then the beach. The unit was stocked with beach chairs, a beach umbrella, boogie boards, and snorkel gear. We just showed up, relaxed and had the trip of our lives. Thank you, we will certainly be back.

Wonderful Maui condo

We had a wonderful stay at this condo at Honua Kai. The unit was spacious and beautiful, and fully stocked with everything we needed including beach toys for our little one. It was so nice to be able to step outside our lanai and head right to the pool or beach. My only two small complaints were that the dryer took forever to dry clothes as it’s ventless; I relied on the laundry situation and we packed light as a result. In hindsight I probably would’ve packed a bit more had I known how long laundry would take. We also had a mouse run through our unit which was an inconvenience, though Brandon and his on-island helper Monty were helpful to try and get it addressed, the engineering team that came to set a trap was fairly slow and the process ended up taking quite a bit of time. A bit of a bummer when trying to relax on vacation. But we know it’s a first-floor unit in a tropical location, so critters are bound to be around. That said, Brandon compensated us for the inconvenience, which we appreciated.

Amazing condo!

Beautiful condo in a perfect ground-floor location. The pool was very crowded in July, but we were always grateful to retreat to our own private shaded grassy area and patio. It really was ideal. The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms were surprisingly quiet.

Beautiful Property and Great Location

This was my family’s 4th trip to Maui and one of our favorite properties. The location is super convenient: it’s a short drive to shops and restaurants and we always had parking in the garage. You can rent mopeds from 808 Mopeds, which is a 1 minute drive. Downtown Lahaina is a 20 minute moped ride and about an 8 minute car ride away. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and the main living area is really big with lots of room to hang out, eat, watch tv, etc. The entire back patio wall opens up or you can just open a small section of it. The kitchen has plenty of prep space and the washer/dryer is a very convenient. We always had comfortable temperatures; the AC works really well and the large living room ceiling fan feels like a 2nd AC unit. There’s 3 smart TVs with access to most streaming apps. Some don’t require an account but others do. Read the pdf that the owner sends; it’s full of every detail you’ll need for everything in the property. There’s nothing that was missed and it’s super helpful. Any issues we had were quickly resolved by Monty the property manager. There’s plenty of towel dispensers on the property grounds and a few pools and hot tubs. Duke’s is a few footsteps away and is a great place for food and drinks and the to-go service is very reliable. We used one of the many gas grills to cook food we bought at Costco. With the sofa bed you can easily sleep 5 people. There’s a gym on site as well as a convenience store. Room keys are waterproof wristbands. I can’t say enough good things about our experience and the clear and prompt communication from the property owner and property manager.

Great location on property

Clean, stocked for family, great location on property, would return to same place if given opportunity in the future. Other family members in other units preferred this unit with the extra room on ground floor and ability to open up Lani doors and walk in and out to pools and beach from there for the kids.

Great family-friendly unit!

This unit was in a prime location of the Honua Kai resort. Just steps away from the pools, with views from the ground floor lanai. We loved being able to enter/leave the unit from the lanai door, without dealing with hallways or elevators. The lanai door wouldn't lock from the outside when we first arrived but we let the property manager know and engineering was out the same day to fix it. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were huge, and the unit was clean. Most importantly, its location can't be beat. We had a great trip!

Fantastic unit, amazing resort and perfect location

We stayed with another family for a week in March and this was the perfect home base for our perfect vacation. The ground floor unit was a game changer to be able to get in and out without having to deal with elevators, lobbies, etc. The high ceilings in this unit make the place feel even larger than it already is. It came equipped with everything we needed throughout our stay. Loved having the Vitamix to be able to do smoothies and the Instant Pot for easy cooking. Honua Kai is the perfect resort with so many great amenities and a beautiful beach just steps off the property. Our kids LOVED exploring all the different pools/hot tubs. Towel tracker was super convenient though make sure to get your towels early in the morning as some days they seem to go fast. The beach out front of Honua Kai was super fun. The waves were a blast to play in and the kids were even able to see lots of cool tropical fish with just a lifejacket and goggles 15-20 feet from shore. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great stay in Konea 103

This was our 7th trip to Honua Kai and without a doubt Konea 103 is our favourite unit. It was also our first time in a ground unit and we enjoyed not having to deal with elevators, the kids could just go outside on their own. When we weren’t at a restaurant, each meal was on the lanai. Monty was great and very responsive to questions, the check in and out process was seamless. Overall the unit was spectacular and we look forward to coming back.

Great stay

We stayed here for three nights after a 10 day stay in Kihei. We loved it here. Everything about this condo was perfect. Our 22 month old could walk outside the door and play soccer in the grass or we could go for a short walk and be in the pool. The pool was amazing. Great place for the kids and lots of other kids at the resort for the little ones to make friends. Communication with Brandon always had fast responses and we were happy that it worked out we could get late check out. I would definitely stay here again. Only heads up I will give is the beds were too firm for our liking. Although I am sure there are people that prefer firm, it was tough to get a good nights sleep. We also had 2 babies in the room with us that used the 2 or the 3 playpens there and had a pretty good sleep. We put two of the playpen mattresses in one playpen to make it softer for our older (almost 2) and our 7 month old just had one and they both seemed comfortable at night.
