My husband & I stayed at the Maui Kei for 3 weeks. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai eating breakfast & dinner and watching the sunset. The views are amazing!! You are so close to the ocean, you almost feel like you’re in it!! We saw lots of turtle’s & whales. Definitely take the ride to Hāna. If you get carsick take something beforehand. Also go to the Haleakalā summit. We saw the blow holes, which are only about 10 miles away. We met a lot of really nice people that have been staying at the Maui Kei for 20 plus years. We had a BBQ by the pool 2 nights with about 10 people . We were in Maui during the 50 year flood so the only thing we weren’t able to do is go to the IOA needle and zip lining. There are a lot of good restaurants nearby Merrimons, Dukes, Sea House & Mamas Fish House. John is a WONDERFUL host!! Every time I reached out to him (I reached out to him a lot) he responded very quickly. When we arrived the lid to the coffee pot was missing, and you can’t use the coffee pot without the lid. I contacted John and he overnighted the lid to me. The condo is very clean. At night you can hear the sounds of the ocean. We never heard any cars doors banging, people talking or any other noise. I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone. The views are spectacular, very clean & John is a fantastic host!!!If we return, I would definitely stay here again.
