The view from the lanai was great watching the whales. The location couldn’t have been closer to the ocean. Pool was great for my family and the grounds were really nice.

Pleasantly surprised by finding everything we needed for a great stay. Plenty of clean towels, a few cooking/seasoning essentials, and lots of dinnerware. Hosts supplied toiletries, paper needs, cleaning supplies. Location is gorgeous and quiet. Only issue was a malfunctioning AC unit in the living room. Worked around it and had an otherwise great stay!

Great Condo, Great Location, Great Views

Easy to book, very good communication with property manager, clean, lots of towels, tv in each bedroom, well equipped kitchen - would return for sure. Beach was great for swimming for 3 days, then wind and swell picked up so we swam elsewhere last 5 days. All good!

Hawaiian Vacation

The property and location were great! Loved the private beach for the kids. The surf was high and the waves were strong but it did not stop the kids from enjoying the water. We love the Kapalua Trail which was 5-10 minutes away as well as Kaanapali so we could not have asked for a better location. It was a joy to not have to go out to dinner for every meal, mostly because my kids are a little picky so stopping by a store and getting some of their favorites was a nice option to a typical hotel stay. My wife loved the upstairs deck and enjoyed many morning sunrises out on the deck. Overall we were impressed with the home, the owners made everything convenient and were extremely helpful. I would stay here again if I returned to Maui.

Nice Place

Overall a nice place. Main floor was nicely renovated but the upstairs could use an upgrade. Cleanliness was ok on the surface but we found candy wrappers behind the nightstands & in the hide-a-bed. We were disappointed that there was no vacuum within the unit. Even a stick vac would have been nice. Grounds were nice & it was great seeing whales from the patio almost daily. Nice & close to the grocery store & other shops.

This property is a bit off the beaten path, but close to everything. Communication with the management was excellent. We asked for a repair on our first day and it was promptly addressed. It is close to excellent dining options, and grocery stores. The 2-story arrangement suited our needs perfectly as we had one member of our party who needed quiet space to work in during the late evening/early morning hours.

piece of Heaven on west side

Tricky driveway when arriving after dark, and parking spot was too tight for the upgraded Rubicon the airport gave us due to faulty equipment. The Condo was located perfect to watch beautiful sunsets in shared location where visitors could visit and be awed by the beauty. We did the trip up to watch the sunrise and was so happy that tour bus came up that far on West side so we didn't have to drive at that early time. The condo was perfect size for myself, husband and 2 close friends. We ate breakfast most of the time in condo and always wound down with a cocktail as we watched sunset. Loved convenience of Washer/Dryer and kitchen was equipped well. Whether its a timeshare or VBRO, I always wish they came with baggies or Tupperware. But I have learned to just bring my own. Didn't talk to property manager myself, but when my friend went up to office to ask question, there was a note on door that said they would be back in a couple days. I didn't get as much beach time this trip to Islands due to the people I went with, so having the ocean out the balconies was the perfect.bonus.

When I was booking for our stay, I typed in Ka'anapali as the location of where we wanted to stay. We have been to Maui a few times before and learned that is the place we like to be. I found this listing and even checked it's location on the map provided in the listing, which showed it right in the heart of Ka'anapali. You can imagine our disappointment when we arrived and discovered that it is not located in Ka'anapali. We didn't have another option at that point. Upon arrival, the condo was nice, but not very clean. There was toothpaste on the wall in the mater bathroom, the bathtub was dirty in the master and the carpets appear very dirty. Overall we were disappointed due to the misleading of where the property is located. I would like to request a refund for the condo not matching the advertisement of it.

Family Celebration

We spent a week at Kahana Sunset celebrating our granddaughter’s 3 rd birthday. I cannot say enough about the property’s beautiful grounds. Everything is manicured, lush and green with the backdrop of the awesome Pacific Ocean. It’s close to lots of beaches as well as shopping and restaurants. This is a place we will return to!!

Good Snorkeling right there!

The condo had everything we needed and was roomy enough for two couples. The view was lovely to see whales from balcony. Snorkeling right from the property was a huge bonus for us. Many turtles and variety of fish to see. The only downside is that the mattress in the smaller room needs to be replaced, it’s very uncomfortable. We had a wonderful vacation.

Beautiful location, close enough to see the whales.

Beautiful and spacious unit. Full size kitchen was perfect for making meals "at home". Plenty of covered parking. The highlight was the 2 decks, one off the master and one off the living room with views of Molokai and the whales in the mornings. One thing we were surprised by was the lack of Smart TVs, they had cable (who watches cable anymore?!), a Firestick would have been an easy fix so that guests could watch their streaming services on the TVs. The coffee machine didn't work and management delivered a new machine the same day!

Kahana Sunset is an older condo complex that is nicely maintained. Unit E1 is very comfortable with great ocean views. The AC is awesome! The complex has a beach and pool. We enjoyed our stay

Condo needs work

This condo is in need of a complete remodel especially the bedrooms, bathrooms and windows. The facilities at this condo beach, pool, sitting areas was very nice and location was good. I would just not stay there again unless completely renovated

Maui in March

First let's start with the view. It was amazing. Had beautiful sunsets and whales continuously. So loved that! It is a very quiet complex. Nice to have laundry facilities close to the condo. Not sure how old this unit is but it is showing wear. As stated in other reviews the furniture on the lanai is in rough shape, time for new. The lanai is a big draw for that unit and the furniture should reflect that. We only had 2 coffee cups so time to add more. Also I felt more towels would be appropriate in the bath, again only 4 towels for 8 days did not cut it. The whole unit could use a paint job. The bathroom door on the inside is not looking good. The air conditioner was unusually noisy. I don't know who your cleaning crew is but the glass in the shower needs to be cleaned better. Also I picked up some new slippers for this trip and by the end of our stay the bottom of the slippers were SUPER dirty. Sorry for the negative comments but we have rented through VRBO for the past 13 years and have been very satisfied with our rentals. I guess when you are listed as a premier host I expected a bit more. I would give this unit a 3.5 but with that view it goes to a 4!
