This condo, resort and location is even better then the pictures on the listing. Great view of the beach from your balcony and living room window. Our family enjoyed this location and resort much more then Kaanapali's resorts to the south as they are not as intimate and as close to the beach. The restaurant on site was great along with having a pool and hot tub right next to the ocean. This location was perfect for us and the condo on floor 3 made it easy to have access to the water quickly. John was great, accommodating and easy to work with. It definitely allowed us to make the lasting memories we were wanting.

We had a wonderful stay. Sands of Kahana is a great resort with excellent oceanfront views, a nicely located pool and hot tub and an on-site restaurant and bar. The condo was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. Self-check was a smooth process. Definitely recommend!!

Hands down the BEST VIEW!!! We went in Feb which is peak whale season. We saw whales upon whales every day, all day!! We also saw turtles and a seal right on the beach infront of the condo. 24hr check in was perfect, plus so many amenities. There is plenty of snorkeling gear, a long board and floaties, as well as a beach cart. Within walking distance is a coffee shop, convenience store and restaurants! Captain Jacks restaurant is on the property and opens as early as 7am. There is NOTHING we could have wanted more in this property. It’s close driving to many other beaches and excellent snorkeling spots. Just FYI, Maui Electric had a planned 24hr power outage due to high winds (for fire prevention) so be prepared to go to the East side of the island if that happens during your stay. If I could give more stars, I would. Can’t wait to stay with John at Sands Kahana again!!!

The location was convenient, but there were several issues during our stay. We noticed cockroaches in the room as well as insects in the pantry, where some food items were expired.The bathroom also had a problem with the toilet flush — it only worked in one direction, otherwise the water kept running.Overall, the cleanliness and upkeep need serious improvement.

Our favorite place!

The condo was extremely clean, fresh, updated and comfortable!! Check in was very easy and the staff are very welcoming. The view was incredible and only being on the 3rd floor was convenient for the stairs. We didn’t always want to wait for the elevator! We stepped outside and went for 4 mile walks in each direction in the mornings, explored the island and returned each day for beach and pool time. The kitchen is fully stocked. We shopped at the Times for groceries daily and had bbq for dinner every night. Bbqing with a cocktail and ocean view is dreamy!! We packed light so having a washing machine and dryer was so great! AC was amazing! We loved it and will return!

Beautiful!

I can’t say enough about this beautiful condo, the pictures do not do it justice! It was so spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. It has everything a family could need. The view was awesome with many whales, spinner dolphins and turtles. The location was central and the beach was wonderful. The locker of beach chairs and toys was an added bonus. Thank you for the wonderful stay!!

Beautiful views and location

Wonderful stay. Incredible views and large unit which live up to the photos. Perfect for our family. There were some minor plumbing issues when we arrived, but James was incredible responsive and addressed them immediately. Would stay again!

Great Location and Ocean Views

John was a fantastic host during our pre-Christmas trip to Maui. The condo was a stone's throw from the beach/ocean and the Kahana location made it easy to navigate the island. We will be staying at John's place again in the near future.

Kahana

We enjoyed walking and the fun stores and shops nearby. The beach was nice, but not as good for snorkeling as we had hoped. We are used to Baby Beach which is currently closed and has no onshore break. The property was large and had a wonderful view. We were in the unit a lot because of the 1 year old. We loved the kiddie pool even though a couple of oldies staked out a desirable shady corner for themselves. The depth was perfect from 6” to 3’. The property was clean and nicely furnished. The kitchen had almost anything we needed for cooking. Some of the supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, laundry pods and dishwashing detergent ran out and we had to purchase more. I’m sure that this is because we stayed longer than most guests. The host was friendly and responsive. It’s really all that you can ask. Kahana Sands is a fairly old resort. I would say 1970’s. Maintenance could be better. The restaurant is being remodeled and was not open while we were there. There are, however an abundance of options for dining. The unit was the perfect size for our our party of 4 adults and a one year old.

Great family stay

We would definitely choose this condo again. It slept our family of 6 very well and it also lives very big during the day with the master bedroom wall open. The storage locker full of beach gear also made our beach days more fun without spending any more money on rentals or purchases.

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful stay. The condo was equipped with everything you could need from laundry detergent to boogie boards. The sunset each night was unbelievable as you are right on the beach with an unobstructed view. The beach was calm and good for children; we even saw a sea turtle. Overall, we found the condo to be great and John was highly communicative and a wonderful host.
