I stayed at Leola and had a mixed experience. The room was good, but not exceptional compared to other hotels I've stayed at around the world - it was just okay.
The check-in process was great, and the hotel and restaurant staff were friendly. I appreciated the daily supply of bottled water; most hotels only provide one complimentary bottle and charge for additional ones. However, I had an issue with my access key card, which declined me entry once, which was surprising and required me to get it reactivated.
The room didn't have air control, which was a drawback, as it got really cold at night and there wasn't much I could do about it except pile on extra blankets.
I also found an empty bottle of body wash in the bathroom, which made me wonder if the room was properly checked before I checked in.
One thing that caught me off guard was that the hotel doesn't have microwaves in the rooms and they don't allow warming outside food in their restaurant unless it was purchased from them.
Overall, it was a decent stay, but there were some notable drawbacks that prevented it from being a great experience.
