However the drive way was so steep that our standard Corolla grounded so hard we had to park at the McDonald’s next door a higher SUV tho would be ok can I suggest that if possible the top of the drive be flattened a bit. The house was very good value and the instructions spot on so aside from the drive a very good value for money stay Thanks"

"My family of 4, including a 16 and 17 year old, LOVED staying at this home. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to just enjoy it! The home is both cozy and very up to date, the animals were a joy to see and Colleen was very communicative. The views were beautiful and the home location was perfect. We felt like we were far away, but we were actually close to many of our planned activities and town. I highly recommend this home!"

"Nice place with a fabulous view of the lake and access to it. It was close to town and main tourist attractions like Te Puia and the pickup location for the Hobbiton Tour. Midge flies don’t bite but they’re a nuisance. If you’re in and around Rotorua there is the smell of sulphur which takes getting used to."

Heat pump did a great job keeping the lounge warm, and the oil heater in each bedroom was great too, so no issue for a winter weekend getaway. Great for a small group. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. Everything is a drive away so make sure you bring plenty of your own coffee supplies if you want a morning cuppa!"
