We arrived in Belize early, and contacted Scott and Michelle, they gave us recommendations for a great restaurant while they were getting our bungalow ready for an early check in. The lovely house keeper, unfortunately was sick and couldn't come to work, but you would never know it. Scott managed like a boss! Not only was he the housekeeper, but the concierge, shuttle driver, and host!The moment we walked through the gate, it was a fun, funky, campy, paradise! " Alexa, play yacht rock" ! The gecko pool was crystal clear and we were greeted by the most awesome pool keeper Luci Lizard. We were a party of 3 in the gecko bungalow, 2 bedrooms, well appointed, bright and clean decor. There was a small kitchen, but had everything we needed, mostly congregated in the outdoor grill kitchen poolside! Scott and Michelle were responsive to all of our questions and needs, and had contacts for everything from tours to taxi service. If we are ever blessed to return to Belize, this is where we will stay! 10 out of 10 recommend!

We stayed in the 2 bedroom bungalow and it was perfect. The pool was fantastic and the grounds were lovely , especially at night when lights came on. Michelle and Scott were wonderful hosts. Close to airport but never heard planes. Highly recommend this place...

We had a great stay at this accommodation. The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. The host was friendly, responsive, and made check-in and check-out very easy. The location was convenient and quiet, which made it perfect for relaxing after a long day. We really appreciated the small thoughtful touches that made the stay feel welcoming. Would definitely recommend this place and would be happy to stay here again.

Michelle and Scott were wonderful hosts. So kind and knowledgeable about the area. They picked us up from the airport and took us to the grocery store for snacks and such and made sure we had everything we needed. We didn’t have set plans upon arriving so we took their suggestion to visit Lamanai and it was the perfect recommendation. The Gecko Bungalow grounds are so lovely; well decorated and comfortable. There’s lots of lighting accents everywhere and the pool in the courtyard with the swim up bar made us want one in our own pool.

What an amazing and incredible venue. Scott and Michelle were absolutely amazing. Once I added them to Whatsapp, they were super responsive to "any needs/questions." They really went above and beyond to make my stay feel like we were guests in their home. Only downside to the venue is that the bungalow I was in did not have a kitchen, and typical breakfast was not readily close, but our hosts provided us with a full array of options of where we can go. Before our trip was over, we were already recommending the property to our friends back home.

I am obsessed with the cuteness of this property and the bungalow!! It was the petfect spot for a break!! So close to the airport. The hosts have thought of everything and I mean everything!! Michelle was great at communicating and making arrival and leaving a piece of cake!! I highly extra highly recommend this place! You just have to experience to believe it. It more than lived up to the photos and had tons of amenities and extras!!

Michelle and Scott are wonderful hosts! The bungalows are conveniently located near the international airport, and the free shuttle service is a huge bonus. Our family of five stayed comfortably in two bungalows, which offered the older kids their own space. Michelle and Scott are understandably proud of the property they have created that checks every box to make guests feel welcome and comfortable, including an amazing pool, sound system, lights, comfortable beds . . . Charming details are everywhere to make you smile. Thank you Michelle and Scott!

Look no further, this is it!

Had a wonderful experience at the Gecko Bungalow. Michelle and Scott are amazing hosts, and to be honest, the property is even better than the pictures. You will love the pool and outdoor area which has lots of comfortable seating and an overall awesome vibe. The hosts recommend an excellent driver, the location was perfect for tours/excursions, and the food options were plentiful. You will not be disappointed :)

Relaxing Oasis

My son and I had a wonderful experience at this property. The groundskeeper/property manager, Phillipe, picked us up from the airport and stopped at the local supermarket for us to buy some snacks and groceries for our stay. He was so helpful. He made sure we had a wonderful and relaxing experience. The property was beautiful and we were fortunate to meet the owners Michelle and Scott. Michelle drove us back to the airport for our return flight.When we visit Belize in the future, we will be sure to stay here.

Very Pleasant Experience

We needed an overnight stay to connect to another airline the next morning; we were picked up by a very helpful caretaker who stopped at the market for us along the way to our house. He carried all 9 of our bags, showed us around the property, picked bananas, mangoes and coconuts for us from the property; the pool was beautiful and refreshing; the beds were quite comfy; the caretaker took us to the airport very early the next morning to make our connecting flight. This is one VRBO that actually had what the description said it did; Michelle was wonderfully easy to work with; you won’t be disappointed! Terri

We had a wonderful stay. The bungalow was spotless and decorated super cutely! We spent several hours just floating in the pool with drinks (available for purchase). The hosts were available all the time and took us to/from the airport, saving us $30 each way. They also called a local restaurant and had someone come pick us up to take us to dinner. Could not have been happier! Wonderful place.

Best Boutique Stay!

I absolutely loved this super unique and upscale 5-star boutique resort. They went the extra mile - in all directions at this beautiful property. There are a few bungalo options that are all uniqueand charming. Try the freshly made mango daquari, too. You won't be disappointed at all- as a stay here is truly one of a kind. I hope to be back soon!

WE LOVE GECKO BUNGALOW!!!

Patting ourselves on the back for booking with Michele and Scott for both ends of our trip to Belize. We arrived late in the afternoon, Scott picked us up from the airport, took us to the store for a few groceries, and recommended local restaurants that would deliver dinner while we relaxed in the gorgeous pool. The next morning, we were rested and ready for our road trip south - Scott took us back to the airport to our rental car, and even showed us a really great place to grab a late breakfast at the airport. On top of all this, we realized we had overpacked with clothes that we wouldn't be able to wear in the heat (even in January it didn't drop below 78 or so at night), and Michele and Scott offered to store one of our extra suitcases since we had booked our last night in Belize with them at the end of our 18 day trip. Amazing! They then referred us to an awesome taxi/shuttle service to get us from the ferry in Belize City back to the Gecko on our last night. Laundry machine is available, all the amenities you need, and lovely hosts. Can not recommend highly enough!!!!!
