"The staff are very helpful, the restaurant serves a fairly limited food and wine menu but the food is very good quality. It does not pretend to be a Gourmet venue, which is fine. The Stage is excellent value for money, with nice rooms and lovely staff. You will not be disappointed. 😃"

"I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. "Friendly welcome, check-in desk in an awkward place, feel like your in the way of the bar staff or customers queuing the bar. Causing an obstruction with suitcases for someone wherever you stand. Room spacious and clean, plenty of tea, cofee milk etc provided. Had dinner, which was good and even had a go at the quiz! Breakfast the following morning was ok. There seemed to be some sort of staff meeting going on at one part of the dining room, and so there wasnt much instruction on what to do with...

"Wonderful hotel, really comfortable room, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. We also ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back."

"We all loved staying at the hotel, it was clean and great relaxed atmosphere. We stayed in a suite and whilst it was lovely and big and clean a few things needed attention! Door handle on toilet door was half hanging off, toilet flush was loose and the jacuzzi bath plug never worked, so therefore the water kept emptying away. Balcony could have done with a clean too. The only other problem is the hotel does not really cater for people that are gluten free! Could not have sausages, Hash browns at...
