Comfortable home close to Hotel and Teeth of the Dog golf course

We spent a nice vacation at villa del portal. The host is dedicated and ready to help. The villa is quite comfortable and the garden and pool well maintained. If the group is bigger than 4 people renting an extra buggie is a must. The host takes care of that. We missed a few more kitchen apparel, wine or champagne glasses, etc. All in all we had a good experience.

Easter Spring Break

Property is very well centered in Casa de Campo, beautiful lush garden and golf view. The kids enjoy the outside pool and terrace area, even the garden space for playing. The TV room was our nest for the couple of rainy days we had. The staff is super great! From the very beginning the host and the ladies at the house, they cook delicious and keep up the house in shape. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay, we’ll definitely post for next visit.

We have rented a lot of villas in CDC and this was very nice. Bathrooms are all redone, backyard is absolutely beautiful, beds are all new and comfy, and the rest of the home is well kept and nice. As well the staff was excellent. The home was kept spotless and the food was very good. We are always a bit nervous as to the quality of the villa and this was perfect. It's actually much nicer than the pictures !!!

Cannot say enough great things about this villa! It is even more beautiful in person than in pictures. The staff (Nancy and Kika) are incredible and Jeannette made the whole process seamless by ordering groceries to the house, arranging airport transfers and booking restaurant reservations. My family of 8 had the most wonderful vacation and we will absolutely be returning to this villa. Thank you Jeannette!

Our stay at Villa del Portal in Casa de Campo was absolutely exceptional. Jeanette, our host, went above and beyond—helping us with everything from transportation and groceries to meal planning, extra golf carts, and linking us with the hotel concierge. Her communication was outstanding, and she even met us at the end of our visit. The in-house cook and housekeeper were fantastic—punctual, attentive, and they went above and beyond to make excellent meals and care for us. The property was perfect for our four separate groups, each having their own bedroom and en-suite bathroom, ensuring comfort and privacy. The grounds were immaculate, with a fantastic pool and a beautiful backdrop onto the golf course. The villa’s central location gave us easy access to golf, the beach, and all the amenities. We would return in a heartbeat!

Perfect Family Friendly Spring Break

Everything about the property and the stay was perfect. This place is an absolute dream. We were treated to varied and tasty meals and could truly relax. Nancy and Kika were absolutely delightful and Jeannette was responsive and incredibly helpful in making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Elegance in Casa de Campo

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in this beautiful villa - our first time at the resort. The interior design of the villa was gorgeous - artistic and elegant. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The owner helped as make arrangements and buy groceries ahead of our stay. The home cooked food was delicious and customized for our family. We enjoyed the pool as well as the outdoor seating for lounging and reading. Our only wish was that we had brought friends with us, as it was so much space (and food) for our family of four. We hope to be back to visit again soon.

Wonderful stay!

Our family had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful. The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious. The back yard area was very relaxing, with a peaceful sitting area and perfectly-sized pool. It was also close (3 min golf cart ride) to the Casa de Campo resort lobby. The staff was a real treat for us. They made us breakfast and lunch every day and were friendly and proactive, without being intrusive. We'd gladly stay there again next time we're in the DR!

Spring Break

10/10 recommend. We have stayed at a few locations in Casa De Campo and this one might be in my top 2. The house was spotless, the grounds were gorgeous, and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Nancy and Kika made the most delicious food, trust me ask for guacamole poolside. And Jeannette was so easy to work with, she helped get us a second golf cart, dinner reservations, and car services for airport pickups and drop offs. She was very responsive on what’s app once we arrived and had a minor issue she addressed promptly. Again can’t recommend this home enough.

Beautiful home; excellent service.

Home and staff were outstanding. Spotless, comfortable, thoughtfully designed and decorated. Pool and spa worked perfectly and were cleaned daily. TV room, dining room and bedroom have separate AC units, providing comfort on humid days. Bedrooms are large, quiet and well-equipped. Property manager is responsive, knowledgeable and can-do. Highly recommended.

Jeannette, Nancy, and Kika made our vacation a wonderfully easy and relaxing experience. Jeannette took care of all of the planning and reservations. Nancy and Kika made amazing meals each day, and kept the house spotless. The house, grounds, and pool are fantastic. We will definitely be returning.

What a wonderful stay we had at Jeanette’s villa in casa de campo. We were traveling with 4 young children ages 1-8 and two grandparents. The villa was perfect for us and we even had an extra bedroom to spare. Each room includes and en-suite bathroom with was perfect for our group. The house is meticulously maintained. The outdoor pool and laniah are updated and include sonos speakers that we linked our music for fun days outside enjoying lunch and the pool while overlooking the golf course. Nancy and Kika were a delight and my kids still miss them a week later. Nancy is a very skilled cook and I would suggest enjoying all of her Dominican specialities especially the skirt steak with chimichuri..:yum. We have traveled internationally extensively with our young children and I have recommend this villa to all of my friends. Jeanette is an experienced host and took care of arranging all of our transfers, groceries and much more. What a treat to have the kitchen stocked upon arrival with a delicious meal waiting for you upon arrival.10/10! We will be back!

Loved our stay

Our family of five had a wonderful week at Villa del Portal. Our goal was to relax and this was a perfect space. The living areas are very spacious and comfortable. The outdoor space is perfect. Large pool and plenty of seating outside. The yard is gorgeous and very private. It backs up to one of the golf courses, but still very private. We loved having the golf carts to get around and used them the entire week without ever getting in a car. Everything is 10-15 minute golf cart drive away, except the main hotel which is maybe 5 minutes away. The best part of our stay was probably having Nancy and Kika there to make breakfast and lunch and take care of all the cleaning. It really took the vacation to the next level. Jeannette was very helpful making all of our dinner reservations and scheduling our Covid tests to get back to the U.S. We wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again.

Everything we hoped for

Our family had an amazing stay at this beautiful property. The yard is immaculate and we spent almost every evening for two weeks enjoying the pool, hammock, lounge chairs, grill and outdoor eating area. The setting is serene and peaceful and stunning when lit up at night. The house was everything we wanted, the bedrooms were large and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the Tv room and we all enjoyed breakfast in the dining room. Lots of rooms and seating areas within the home to enjoy some down time, and the overall aesthetic of the home is classy and appealing. Nancy did a fantastic job cooking our breakfast and keeping the house looking beautiful. The location of the home is ideal. Very close to the main golf course (we were on the tee minutes after leaving the front door). Also very convenient to tennis and the beach. We had a fantastic stay at Casa de campo and can't recommend the property enough.

Amazing villa in Casa de campo!!!

This was a as perfect villa for my family over the new year holiday. Staff was great, the entire place was super clean! Very little mosquito issues and the yard was beautiful. We truly enjoyed and spent time in every room. Thank you Jeanette for everything!

Absolute perfection at Villa del Portal!

Words cannot express how perfect our stay at Villa del Portal was. We were there in March 2019, and the experience started before we came down with a call from Jeannette, the owner of the Villa. She has had 30+ years experience with Casa De Campo, and assisted me with wonderful recommendations for activities, dining, childcare - absolutely everything - for the duration of our stay. Each recommendation was perfect. She also assisted with our airport transfers, shopping for groceries before our arrival and organizing dining reservations. Her staff at the Villa were simply the best - so caring, polite, intuitive and the BEST chefs on the island, in our opinion!! English was not spoken, but we all managed perfectly - as we learned Spanish very quickly! They could not have been better at making sure we had everything that we needed. If I could give them 50 stars on a scale of 1-10, I would. The Casa de Campo resort was also wonderful with enough for us to do each day while we were there. We found a car was probably a necessity if you want to visit Altos de Chavon or want to do into La Romana, but the golf carts we used to get around were certainly sufficient. We will definitely ONLY stay at Villa del Portal when we return to Casa de Campo. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Great house and Jeannette was amazing!

We booked with Jeannette after a nightmare experience with another owner/property manager where they completely went dark and were unresponsive until three days before we were supposed to arrive...only to cancel our reservation due to damage to their house from previous guests. Needless to say, I was scrambling to find another house - we have three little kids and had booked expensive flights. Jeannette was the most accommodating, helpful, and kind partner. She not only responded to my requests within minutes, she also worked long and late to book reservations, buy groceries for us, and arrange transportation. She made us feel at ease after a very unsettling experience. The house was great - the rooms were big and great for large families. The staff was very friendly although I will say you need to know some Spanish as it would have been very hard to communicate without. The pool was fantastic and grounds were beautiful. The location of the house was ideal - closer to the beach than the marina which was great because for kids - the beach is the place to be. The hotel pool was fine - more of an adult scene but totally kid friendly if you're kids are self sufficient and are happy playing in the water. Overall - our stay was great. The house was lovely and the owner was definitely a highlight. Bring lots of cash - small bills. Tips are given to everyone and expected. Also - we were eaten alive by mosquitoes. A lot of the windows didn't have screens - which I'm sure is a not a big deal to the locals, but for those used to screens - wear bug spray!!

Great Villa for whole family

Set up of home was great having my elderly Mother and 4 kids. The pool is Perfect for kids to play. The two ladies working were nice and unobtrusive. My kids loved the prepared meals. Groceries very expensive though. Location is a bit far from beach and the golf carts were gas, loud and slow. Jeannette is extremely helpful and responsive. She returned calls immediately and addressed all issues, mostly very minor, in record time. She went above and beyond what I would expect by attempting to find and install a higher toilet seat for my elderly mother. It did not fit but the fact is she did not have to go so out of her way and it was much appreciated. I would rent this villa again hands down. Jeannette helped plan our activities and dinners. Restaurants are mostly very good although the ones at Marina all overrated in my opinion. The staff at Casa all nice and helpful. We had not issues at all. Jeannette is trustworthy, hard working and very kind and gracious. I would trust my vacation to her.

We planned a quick family getaway and decided in this beautiful property, we had an amazing time from the moment we arrived at the airport and had a driver waiting for us that Jeannette recommended and when we arrived at the house we were greeted by 2 beautiful women that are a part of the beautiful stay at Villa Portal they prepared an amazing meal for us and i mean amazing they cooked everyday for us and made us feel comfortable. Jeannette from the 1st phone call was very friendly and accomodated me with all the comforts from groceries to menus for all of our meals she even purchased everything for us and left receipts and a binder explaining everything, the house is very comfortable bedroom downstairs is spacious just like the upstairs, the entire house has a conversation area and is great for entertaining We just loved it Casa Campo in whole is just a beautiful place to stay

Everything about this property inside Casa de Campo is perfect. So much space, convenient to all of the resort amenities, great pool. Just wonderful in every way!
