Loved it!

This place is amazing! It was super clean & well stocked. Our host was always quick to reply. Things we loved:Lots of shade in the back yard! Kept us cool on these hot summer days.Beautiful and large pool was so much fun.Mini golf area was super cute and fun to play.Coffee bar had plenty of coffee choices & creamers.The kids loved the having the whole upstairs area to themselves.

Great property

Three sets of parents and their daughters stayed at the property for a lacrosse tournament. House was less than 15 minute drive to the Empire Polo Fields, which was incredibly convenient. The rooms were spacious with plenty of areas to hang - played board games at the kitchen table, watched football in the large family room and played pool in the upstairs loft. We weren't able to enjoy the outside area due to timing of lacrosse games and the colder temperature but it looked like a great space with pool and putting green. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing!

The new Pebble Tech pool is gorgeous!! We have stayed at Villa Villeta multiple times. Always having a terrific time. This time, we were surprised by a new Pebble Tech pool. The perfect accent to our vacation experience. As always, everything was super clean, great beds and linens, everything we needed for a terrific stay. We will absolutley be back again. Thanks Karen.

Memorial Day review 2024

It is a nice property. Instructions on hot tub and pool were ok but the control panels were hard to read, not clean. Had a problem with patio lights and pool lights not working. Worker came out and dealt with pool lights. There was a special plug that communicates with the remote that was not obvious and the owner on the second day said to go to the hutch in the dining room and try that cord, which worked. Thresholds in sliding patio doors need a cleaning and the master slider needs new bearings. Pool could use a paint job but it was very pleasant. The Keurig with cups was a nice touch. It would have been nice to have some ziplock bags as part of the staples in the house. All in all very satisfactory but I am upset with VRBO for charging a service fee for my first failed reservation where the owner had overbooked and VRBO took my money and then did not give me a refund. There were conflicting departure instructions between several versions of the property manual and the electronic check out instructions. HVAC system seemed quite noisy but the A/C worked fine.

Cockroaches

Overall the property worked for our purposes. We were there attending Stagecoach and as there were five of us we wanted to book a place that had enough space, which this house had. They were also kind enough to accommodate a two hour earlier check in, which was appreciated. Unfortunately we found two exceptionally large cockroaches immediately upon checking in. I notified the owner immediately and she informed me that the bug man had been there that week and asked if they were dead. Yes, they were dead but they were also cockroaches. In a bedroom. And a bathroom. I’ve stayed in countless rentals in the Palm Springs area and have never, ever experienced this. Frankly, I don’t think this is acceptable. Besides the bug situation the house really needs some maintenance and a thorough cleaning. Lots of dirt on the window sills, dated fixtures and finishes and the air vents were all filthy. The property also lacked sufficient towels…there was only one bath towel in the master bath so my daughter and I ended up sharing that all weekend. The area rugs in the bathrooms and kitchen should probably be replaced at this point and the pool needs a refresh. Overall we were fine, and the location was perfect for the event venue but I won’t book this place next year.

Large Home, Great for Groups

The house had plenty of space for our group of 8. The neighborhood is quiet. The pool was heated, but not very inviting due to stains and lots of debris in the pool & jaccuzzi. However we enjoyed the back yard and large table in the dining room.

Plenty of well maintained for my kids and in laws. Loved the unicorn floaty in the pool. Great touch! Well stocked kitchen, we cooked all our meals and grilled outside. Karen is an attentive and responsive host.

Perfect for a family

Things to know: Rooms/beds: 4 bedrooms plus bunk bed in pool table room that the grandkids loved. Beds were very comfortable. Living/TV room: Great family sofa, very nice large TV, but we never quite figured out how to connect the sound-- yes, we referred to the instruction book, over and over. Music was easy: just ask Alexa Kitchen/dining was functional for our family of 8. The house was built in 1994 and it appears that the only items have been updated were the toilet (comfort height) in the master bedroom and newer LG washer/dryer. Pool/hot tub: Easy to use. We liked the way the heater shut down once the pool and hot tub were warm--no concern about it running all day/all night. Convenient location, nice neighborhood.

The good and the bad

The Good: Good location in quiet neighborhood and plenty of room. Nice backyard to lounge in and relax. Kitchen has all the equipment you need to cook in. Laundry was also handy. House fully equipped. The Bad: When we arrived we found 2 dead large cockroaches (or some other large bug I didn't want to look closely at) and as the stay progressed we found small ants in the bathroom. Place was dusty but I think it's hard to stay dust free in Palm Springs; however the place could also use a deep clean. One of the beds is really high and I had to "climb" it to get in, would not have been possible with older guests. Overall: Good for large group if you don't have bug phobias.

Good size house, cozy, complete amenities

Great house for cozy getaway and for multiple families. Kitchen is well stocked with accessories, garage parking is a plus, pool table and putting green are great for all. Pool is simple but works well (be prepared to clean leaves daily due to large trees). Would rate higher, but found a few bugs in the bathroom areas. Must be the desert weather.

Villa Villeta was perfect. Our third stay.

This was our third stay at Villa Villeta. We keep coming back because Villeta is perfect in every way. Villeta is impecably clean. All we need to bring are our tooth brushes, clothes and food. Everything else is provided and is top notch. The beds are super comfortable. (We checked the label on the mattress last time we stayed and bought the same for our home.) Our Host "Karen" provides high quality sheets and pillows. Bathrooms have soaps, shampoo and conditioner. Entertainment is everywhere. Outside is a great shaded pool and jacuzzi. Huge putting green, shaded lawn area, patio lounges with umbrella and a glass patio table. Inside is a beautiful living room with a big TV and a huge sectional sofa for the entire family. There is an big slate pool table, walk up bar, dining table able to seat 10 comfortably and and a huge kitchen with everything you need for a big family meal. Villeta is super convenient to restaurants and shopping. Everything you need is within a few minutes drive or have it delivered. Thanks Karen. See you next time. We will be back for our 4th stay this winter. Thank you!!

Only 3 things to improve: the cleanliness in the house, we found dirt under the beds, such as cigarette boxes, water bottles, dirty napkins, second, we recommend fumigating the house, many cockroaches came out, and third, maintain the floor and the pool walls neater.
