Our stay was a short family vacation to celebrate a 50th birthday with some relaxation, golf, good food and company. The home is an amazing property that is well-kept and has all the amenities you could ask for. The views from the backyard are a golfer's dream, but were also enjoyed by the non-golfers in the family. Overall, we had a good time.
Here's the constructive criticism: The spa was not functioning. We spent an inordinate amount of time trying to get it functioning as we wanted to spend the evenings relaxing in the spa. This didn't happen. It was a very important feature of the home to us when we booked the stay. We were unable to get it working. We contacted the owner on the first day of identifying the problem. No response. Again, on the second day. No response. On the third day the owner finally responded and said he was traveling, which is why he didn't respond for two days. With availability via cell phones and being the only person identified to respond to issues with the property we thought this was a lame excuse. Moreover, he said he wasn't able to get someone to look at the spa until the 4th day, which was the day we were leaving. This was very disappointing. Someone should always be available when you rent your home. Also, move heaven and earth to address problems because families are paying a lot of money to create memories and should get the benefit of the features of the home they rented.
