Very welcoming hosts,it was lovely to meet both Sue & Martin during our stay! Sue even went shopping for us to sort out a small WiFi issue!! The property is fully equipped with all you could need for a family & is set in a lovely tranquil area,which was great to relax & unwind by the pool & then watch the sunset over the mountains from the rear terrace in the evening! We all had a fantastic stay over Xmas & the New Year! The only slight improvement would be an increase in the pool temperature as it was still a bit too cold at this time of year for the kids to enjoy it fully! Overall we all had a lovely stay & would highly recommend to anybody looking for a relaxing break in lovely surroundings! Thankyou Martin & Sue for looking after us! The Taylor Family!

Flora Villa, Lajares

Flora Villa is in a quiet area about 25-30 minutes walk from the town centre at Lajares. The setting of the villa is beautiful overlooking open scenery to the west. The villa is well equipped and spacious. William was quickly responsive to a minor issue on arrival and was readily available if required. Overall, a beautiful villa and pool in a peaceful location.

A beautiful property with stunning sunset views

The photos do not do this property any justice, it is beautiful. Communication with Martin was Excellent from start to finish. 7 of us stayed very comfortably here. You have a bright new fully fitted kitchen along with the lovely wood features and marble floors, gives it a modern but yet still Spanish look. We had a balcony from our room, which I went out onto every night and saw shooting stars. (No air con unfortunately but fans provided in every room) We spent hours in the pool which was cleaned twice during our stay. We would then go and drink around the back where they had a nice seating area and watch the superb sunsets. It’s a gated property with a few other villas around you so you feel safe. You can walk into Lajares from the villa or about 15 minutes in the car to Corralejo which is very busy at night time full of restaurants and shops, or in the day a beautiful beach. We all loved it and will hopefully get to go back soon.

Villa Flora Lajares

We had an amazing stay at the Villa and there was everything that we needed. We found Lajares as a quiet, nice rural area. We felt very private and secure in the Villa, we made full use of the swimming pool and the rest of the facilities provided. We spent many of our days enjoying our lunch in the shade, and our evening meals next to the illuminated pool on the patio. Many thanks from all of us

Thanks to Martin and Sue for a fabulous stay. The villa is lovely and has everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Wi-Fi for the TV is not great but this is what we have become used to and it’s not an essential. Would definitely revisit.

Perfect Location and Great place to stay

Very well presented, all you could ask for to have a relaxing and homely stay. The property is very welcoming and well designed to accommodate 8 people. The pool is extremely good and the salt rather than chlorine is much better. You feel you are living within the local community as neighbours go about their daily lives, but it was quiet throughout. Provision of fans for every bedroom was a much needed bonus. The kitchen is well provisioned with washer, dishwasher cooker etc and the appliances all appeared new or nearly new. Extra bedding, towels and especially pool/beach towels provision was welcomed.

Perfect spot for holidays

Its a wonderful house, quite spacious with a great and heatable pool. We enjoyed the cleanness, the fully equipped kitchen and the various places to sit outside like on the patio in front of the entrance, at the back of the house which is the best place to enjoy sunset or to barbecue, or on the first floor outside the master bedroom overviewing old volcano cones. Dishwasher and washing machine made the vacation easier. During the 2 weeks end of January we spent there, temperatures dropped at night to about 13°C, which resulted in indoor temperatures of about 19°C. Because Spanish houses in the south have rarely heating systems, the owner offered us an electric heater. What else is newsworthy ? Apparently the stove had been cleaned so vigorously that the signs of the switches were wiped off. The nice fireplace in the living room has a sign that it is a forgery. The finca is located in the village Lajares, in the northern part of the isle, and is surrounded by a neighborhood with similar houses. A supermarket and nice mid-level restaurants are in the vincinity. By car, which is a necessity, the dunes and beaches of Corralejo and beaches elsewhere are in a 20-30 minutes drive range. If one likes to get rid of some calories from the breakfast, a hike to the near by Calderon Hondo is a nice experience. The owner lives in walking distance. He was very helpful and questions were answered instantaneously. All-in-all the finca is a clear recommendation and gets a definite thumb up !

Eigentlich war alles ok

Grundsätzlich ist das ein schönes und vorallem ein sehr großes Haus. Die Vermieter eine Strasse weiter sind sehr nett und Hilfsbereit. Leider sind ausnahmslos alle Sitzmöbel, vom Sessel über die Stühle bis zu den Liegen extrem unbequem. Und die Armeisen sind eine echte Plage, in allen Schränken, sogar bis in die Dusche ... Das Haus ist bis zu neun Leuten belegbar, leider gibt es nur für fünf ausreichend Geschirr.

A great villa in an ideal location!

Villa Flores is a really lovely property to relax in, well laid-out, ensuring that guests have their own space, not feeling cramped. The kitchen has everything you need. The BBQ on the rear terrace is great! Lazing around the pool, followed by lunch on the under-cover terrace is how we spent the early afternoons. Later on, the rear terrace was the ideal place for sundowners with the most spectacular sunsets. Upstairs is a spacious bedroom with terrace, and the large bathroom has a window showing a fabulous view. It’s only 15 minutes’ drive to a variety of white sandy beaches at El Cotillo. Lajares has a real laid-back, surfer feel to it. There are some great places to have a range of meals; breakfast is good at los Pirates, which also serves great steaks and barbecued chicken. A favourite was Rojo Tomate, very rustic traditional Italian feel and the food was amazing and well-priced. The French bakery is really good for fresh baguettes and pastries. Sue and Martin couldn’t do enough to make our stay perfect. They are very welcoming hosts. We will be back for sure.

A home from home!

Lovely, cosy villa that we felt so at home in. We were a group of 3 adults and 3 teenagers and had loads of space in a good location and Sue and Martin could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. We will definitely be returning!
