The host was very helpful. This house was perfect for our family gathering with our grandchildren. Everyone was able to spread out and the children had a wonderful time. The location is fantastic and the fact that it’s a little rougher around the edges in some ways was perfect for having kids. Plus, there are some exquisite little details if you pay attention.

Gorgeous view, so relaxing watching the surfers and pelicans. We had a great family time. The amenities were as advertised, but the house maintenance has fallen behind. For example: many of the windows in the living areas were streaked with condensation in between layers, some shades were broken, the fireplaces were not functional, some furniture was frayed, the flagstones around the pool need replacing. Tony said he would provide a chef for us for one evening, but that never materialized.The major problems were in the kitchen, where the stove needed repairs and the ovens did not work. This was Thanksgiving week! I give Tim, the property manager, 5 stars for his handling of all our questions/complaints. Workmen came one day to replace parts of the stove, and when it was not clear if the ovens would be repaired by Thanksgiving day, Tim obtained a precooked turkey for us. (Though it needed reheating in an oven anyway!) He also got housekeeping in to dry out the carpet and deodorize the theater after rain seeped in.I was told that Tony plans to start major revisions on the house soon, which may explain the lack of maintenance. In the meantime, given the hefty price, and given that this was supposed to be the height of luxury now, I would give it 3 and one half stars. Rounded up to 4 because of the wonderful site.

Location, location, location, was amazing, this house has the best views. Our host was stellar and responsive to our needs during our stay. They have a great golf cart which made runs to the beach or grocery store easy. We will be returing.

I highly recommend renting this incredible home, especially if you have a large group. There is so much room and so much to do at this house, and unfortunately we didn’t take advantage of most of it! The view is absolutely spectacular and we had a ton of fun playing pickleball on the rooftop court. We stayed for four nights and my only regret is that we didn’t book a longer stay!

The location and the views are as stunning as advertised. Rare to find both. We spent a week here for an annual family reunion and had a blast. No trip is perfect, but I give a lot of credit to Tony, the owner, for bending over backwards to make sure we were happy. Would definitely come back.

We had a wonderful family gathering at this awesome home. We loved the gorgeous views, fun pool, theatre room, al fresco dining, and sunset pickball games on the rooftop. So many places to gather in this well equipped, lovely home! Grandpa especially enjoyed shuttling family members into La Jolla village on the golf cart.

Perfect Celebration Spot with Unbeatable Views

We celebrated two college graduations, a 65th birthday, a 60th birthday, and a 30th anniversary — and this home made every moment feel special. The oceanfront views were absolutely stunning, and the beach below was perfect for body surfing and walking. From the pickleball court to the full size chess board on the roof, to the hot tub to the home theater, everything was designed for fun and togetherness. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to gather. Highly recommend for anyone planning a memorable getaway.

80th birthday celebration

The house was everything it was reported to be. Beautiful accommodations, gorgeous views. Our families age group ranged from 13 years old to 80 year's old. We had a fantastic three day celebration. The owner and Tim that checked us in were great to work with.

Spectacular setting and experience

Our large group of friends truly enjoyed everything this property had to offer. The oceanfront setting is beautiful. The house has many places to socialize and play while enjoying the location including the rooftop pickleball court, pool, hot tub, ping pong/pool table, theater room. We used them all and almost never left the property since we had everything we needed there. We highly recommend!

Location, location, location!

Enormous house in a perfect spot! House was perfect for our “escape the cold” getaway. Our goal was to soak up the sun and relax and boy did we. We rented a car but didn’t need it. Walked to coffee, dinner and grocery store. There weee only 6 in our party so we didn’t even use like half the bedrooms available. We BBQ one night and the outdoor kitchen/dining was perfect. There were even a couple patio heaters that made it super comfortable. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. Having a small gym and 6 seater movie theater was also a great bonus! House is perfect for large groups as all the rooms are spread out so you have plenty of privacy. Tim and Tony were great communicators and check in/check out was a breeze!

Breathtaking views

This is a beautiful house, with incredible views. We had 7 people stay here. My wife and I and our three kids and their significant others ranging from 21 to 27. We only used 4 of the bedrooms and the house is so big, it took us a while to figure out how to get from place to place! There are NO better views….The house has so much to do in it, from pickle ball, to the movie room, pool table, video game, sauna, hot tub, pool…..etc. The location is amazing and close to everything. The house is set up perfectly for fun family gatherings. We used every bit of the house and even used the street legal golf cart to go to the cute small town minutes away for coffee and supplies. Tim, the house manager couldn’t have been any better. Any time we had questions or we couldn’t figure out how to do anything, Tim came right over and was like having a brother down the road. Seriously, if you can afford this place, book it. You won’t be disappointed. It’s a 34,000,000 house and the views are worth that. We had a private chef one night in the house and loved watching the surfers from every window of the house. Seriously, there are NO better views that I have EVER seen from a house. The house is literally on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the sunsets are breathtaking. I’m getting sad talking about it, because we are on a plane flying home. We hope to return again in the future. It’s a rockstar house!

Exceptional…

Unbelievable property with incredible amenities. Located on the cliffs overlooking the beach. Breathtaking views… incredible sunsets. We woke each morning looking at surfers while we enjoyed coffee and breakfast. Host was very responsive prior to and during our stay. La Jolla Village is amazing as is this house.
