We really enjoyed our stay. The house is just as advertised, well equipped and the host was very helpful. The view is amazing and the location is really great, just between La Jolla Shores and La Jolla. We will definitely book it again.

The view was spectacular. The home was clean with quirky details:metal cabinets and Formica countertops. The hosts were very responsive and welcoming. Only one concern raised by my guests-the outdated tubs and showers. With no grab bars, they pose a slip and fall concern.

Trip to La Jolla

We came to town for a family wedding. The house was beautiful, spacious, well stocked and very clean. The views from the front patio area were spectacular!! Loved the walking distance to the beach, La Jolla Cove and restaurants. The manager met us and showed us the home and kept in contact to make sure we didn’t need anything. Had a fantastic stay. Would definitely recommend!!

Multigenerational family trip

3 generations celebrated a big birthday. 7 adults and 2 children ages 2 and 5. Comfortable home. Space for everyone. The outside patio can seat a lot of people and the views toward La Jolla Cove are spectacular. The management company was easy to work with. They responded to our requests immediately.

Lovely week with friends

I gathered with great friends for a week at the beach and could not have been happier with the property we picked. La Jolla Shores Oceanview Retreat was just what we needed and provided beautiful views, relaxing sunsets, and a perfect location to visit the La Jolla Shores and La Jolla Village neighborhoods within walking distance. We enjoyed the shops and restaurants without having to drive. We also enjoyed walks on the beach, the hike to seal cove, and exploring the neighborhoods. The house was charming and had plenty of room for our group of 8 adults plus a secure backyard. Thank you for your hospitality, we will definitely be back.

Charming home in La Jolla

Relaxing neighborhood location on the coast with lovely ocean views. Easy walk to beach and laid back La Jolla Shores, very short drive (or longer walk) to downtown La Jolla. Home is charming and well maintained; management prompt and helpful. We felt like locals for a week. Recommended!

Did Not Disappoint

We were looking for a place with a great view and where we could just relax. This place was perfect! The view was amazing! We took our dog and he loved it. There was a small fenced in grassy area where he could wander around. The kitchen was fully stocked which was great because we grilled out and ate on the front porch watching the amazing sunsets. NXT Management was great. If ever we had a question they responded immediately. It was a short walk to the beach which was another plus. All and all I highly recommend this property. We will definitely return!

LaJolla Stay

This was our second stay at this property. Alessandro, the property manager, was really attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The location is great and the house is well supplied. We will be back! Thank you Alessandro!!

Great location - not for families with small children

Our overall experience staying here was negative. While the location is ideal and views are undeniably incredible, we felt the condition of the home was unsuitable for our young child. After booking, we raised specific concerns about the property, but the host's responses were inconsistent. Following a six-hour car trip with an 18 month old, we arrived and found our initial concerns to be valid and we weren’t comfortable staying. we had to quickly book a hotel so we had a place for our family to go. The host refused to refund us even partially… had they been more forthcoming about things we specifically asked about, we just simply would not have made the journey out. Be aware, this host will be helpful and accommodating until money is involved. They declined to partially refund us due to the cancellation policy, stating that we were making things up to get a refund. When really we were just seeking to help cover the extra money we were out due to their guidance. This house would probably be great for an older crowd. We would not recommend this place for families with really young children who are currently in the “everything in the mouth stage”. VRBO should share more details about a home prior to booking as so many policies are non-refundable a ridiculous 60 days prior. When it comes to the wellbeing of our child we will always opt for taking the financial loss over compromising what we feel is safe. Lesson Learned.

Wonderful find

Amazing view. Wonderful location, such a short walk to La Jolla beach and all their great shops and restaurants. The home is older and has the cutest character to it. Will definitely book again.

Wonderful place

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. The layout of the house is very nice and spacious. The sunset views were beautiful. The management company was proactive and wonderful to work with. I highly recommend booking this location.

Beautiful La Jolla Home

This is an older, beautiful house with a great water view from the front of the home. There are details reflecting awesome Spanish Architecture throughout the dwelling such as high ceilings, curved entryways, custom wood doors and wrought iron fixtures throughout the home from wall sconces down to the door latches. As a former owner of a historical house in Nantucket I appreciate the efforts made over time to preserve the features of this home. Other reviews mention that the kitchen is “dated.” I take issue with that word and would describe it as a fully functional, truly vintage kitchen complete with St. Charles Steel Cabinets in Chiffon Yellow. St. Charles was considered the crème de la crème of the time period and the built-in features of these cabinets throughout the kitchen were mind blowing. The built in round kitchen table and counter tops are original formica in great shape without stains, cut marks or damage. Once again, I appreciate the efforts to preserve this kitchen. I agree that some of the cabinets could use some attention and love. I would hope these cabinets would be sold to fans of vintage kitchens and not destroyed if the owners were to remodel. Our visit was enhanced by Alessandro from NTX. He was attentive, professional and went out of his way to get us into the house early since we had traveled overnight.

Great location, very accommodating

The location on the cove can not be beat. Sitting on the patio was lovely in the morning, afternoon and at night. Management could not have been more communicative and helpful. Four quality bedrooms with all the amenities in the bathroom and kitchen you need for a few days. The front two bedrooms get a little bit of street noise, so maybe bring a noise machine if you're a light sleeper. The house itself is a little dated, but the walking distance to both La Jolla beaches and the view of the cove are worth an older kitchen. Garage is short so if you have a tall car, you will need to park in the driveway. Kitchen is stocked with spices and all the necessities to cook basic meals

Wonderful Trip!

We enjoyed our recent stay in La Jolla. Alessandro from NXT Vacation Management met us when we arrived to walk us through the property. He checked in with us via text every day to make sure our needs were met. The house was spacious for the 5 adults and 3 young children ages 4-6-9. We loved the view from the porch and the close proximity to La Jolla Shores and quick access to the freeways. We had a fabulous vacation!!

Fantastic home

Location is Primo; walk into LaJolla, along the cliff walk and you can walk down to the beach. House is beautiful and well appointed. Very comfortable. Everything you need at your fingertips. Any little issue was attended to. House manager responds immediately. Can’t say enough, fantastic place!!

Amazing La Jolla!

We visited this property to enjoy everything La Jolla had to offer and it did NOT disappoint! Staring with its location, it’s the perfect place to start your adventure in the area! The views are amazing, the place was clean and well taken care of and comfortable for a family of 6. It was definitely a place that we will be returning to for sure!

Timeless Property

This property face the ocean with spectacular views! We opened up the entire first floor to enjoy the air and view. Although this property is older, its charm was endearing. There is plenty of room for a family to enjoy this home. The only negative part is the traffic noise.

Great house, beautiful patio view, amazing location

We stayed here for our father's 80th birthday with his kids and grandkids. The house has plenty of space and was comfortable for everyone. The view from the front patio overlooks the La Jolla Cove, so when we weren't at the beach, we spent most of our time and our meals on the front patio, which we loved. It's an older house but it's got charm, and the value for the price in this neighborhood with that view is well worth it. The location is a 12 minute walk / 3 minute drive from great restaurants and shops, and La Jolla Shores beach. The few small issues we did have were handled within an hour of our reaching out, and communication was fast and incredibly attentive. We would highly recommend this house, and we hope to return soon.
