We really enjoyed our stay at this property. There were a lot of ants if anything got left out and a very strong smell of mothballs??? But I think that was to help with the ant problem. The property was in a great location; and the views of the volcano were spectacular. The property management went above and beyond for us.

This home was lovely. Beautiful view of the volcano from the outdoor pool area, comfy lounge areas with hammocks that we definitely took advantage of. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean and kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Location was really convenient including a really good restaurant that was three minute walking distance Also next door they have Shetland ponies that had just had a colt that was the probably the cutest thing we’ve ever seen, and became a pit stop every time we arrived and left. :)

The home was close to many restaurants and has an amazing view of Arenal. Overall location is 10/10. The home was clean and very peaceful. It was perfect for our stay of a couple nights with kids because it also had space for them to run around.

What a view!

We would highly recommend Villa Maria!The house was in a fantastic location, we could easily walk to town, sodas, restaurants and El Salto. It was clean and we felt very safe. The birds were amazing and the views of Arenal when the clouds are away is just unreal. The communication of the property manger was fantastic. They also helped set up transportation and an excursion. They were fast to respond and incredibly helpful. Highly recommend for your trip to La Fortuna. We were 6 adults with 7 teens.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Villa Maria. It was equipped with everything needed for a long term stay. My only recommendation would be to add tv's in the larger bedrooms.

Great family spot

Our multi-generation family of 8 all enjoyed our time at this beautiful property, AND I can't say enough nice things about the Home Vacation/House of Tours service. We were making this trip "on our own" and their help with resources and speedy responses was just the best! Thanks especially to Mario. The property was just as described. We loved it. Spectacular view. Well equipped kitchen. Ample parking. Felt very safe. Lovely decor and linens. Thanks for all the great beach towels. Very detailed and helpful information about the house and area. Clear directions on getting there from the airport, plus restaurant recommendations along the way. We ate at Restaurant Mi Rancho both coming and going! All in all, a great Costa Rica family vacation. We all hated to leave. Pura vida!

Perfect Family Vacation

Our time spent in La Fortuna was so much better because of our stay at Villa Maria. There is tons of beds all of which were incredibly comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need. Booking this house was a great decision and we would definitely choose this house again.

Nice property

The house was very nice. Not over the top fancy but comfortable. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for large groups. Would have liked some additional seating in the living room but the outdoor seating made up for it. Kids really enjoyed the pool with a great view of the volcano right out front. At one point during our stay the washer broke and the host arranged for the cleaning lady to do our laundry for us which she graciously did. They also helped book a tour for us to the Baldi Hot Springs and saved us quite a bit of money. Be sure to also have breakfast with Guiselle next door. Wonderful authentic Costa Rica. Experience.

Excellent Stay / house in La Fortuna

perfect location. perfect house. worked well for our family group. Everything was as advertised. Property Manager, House of Tours, responded to every request and they we very accommodating. the house itself was clean, as good or better than the pictures. Location is perfect, less than a mile outside of town. close to all the activities, waterfall, volcano, etc. we really enjoyed the local swimming hole with rope swing that was within walking distance of our place.

Beautiful and spacious property with Volcano views

The views of the Volcano from your patio and pool were amazing. Plenty of sleeping space and having 4 full bathrooms was great. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. It would be great to have a dishwasher and air conditioning in the family room and kitchen but you are in a rainforest. Eder and the entire crew were very responsive and helpful. The very close walking distance to the El Salto rope swing was a big hit with my teenage sons. We didn't rent a car while in La Fortuna but it might be helpful to get groceries and get to the local restaurants. Overall, a fantastic stay!

Beautiful home ih La Fortuna

We certainly enjoyed our stay! We had quite a bit of mis-communication with the host as well as no hot water for the first day we were there (propane tank had run out). The tiny ants all over the kitchen are probably par for the course in such a climate - I would have like a can of bug spray available. Nevertheless, the property worked out very well for us and our 6 adult "kids".

Great stay in La Fortuna

Beautiful part of the world and wonderful accommodation. Great pool and outdoor space, bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and really nice to have a bathroom in each. Kitchen well equipped with big outdoor eating area. Really close walk to several delicious restaurants. Great stay!
