  • This 3-bedroom holiday home rests in the beautiful village of La Forêt-de-Tessé in the Charente in France. It has a private swimming pool and features covered outdoor dining areas for barbecues. The stay can sleep 6 persons, be it a family with children or a group of friends.

    The region is popular among camping lovers as it as many campsites. You can go hiking, canoeing, kayaking, horse-riding, and water sports in the region. Visit the village of Verteuil-sur-Charente, dominated by the silhouette of the towers of its magnificent castle.

    The holiday home has an amazing garden with an outdoor kitchen and a sitting area to enjoy outdoor living. Also, you can relax under the vines and olive trees present here. You can enjoy barbecued meals on the furnished terrace in the evenings. Table football can be played in leisure time. There is a children's bedroom for little guests. A cot and a high chair can be requested for free.

Beautiful property and perfect quiet location. We have stayed in the area many time before so enjoyed being back and we were very lucky to have found such a great place to stayThe pool was great and spotlessly clean. The gardens were beautiful and a great place to explore for our 3 year old son. The large covered seating area was a great place to eat and drink on warm and wet days. Eve was a fabulous host and couldn’t have done anymore to make a holiday such a lovely one. I would highly recommend staying here.

Een mooi huis, heerlijke bedden, veel ruimte, een geweldige keuken en niet te vergeten een prachtige tuin met daarin een heerlijk zwembad. En gastvrouw Eve maakte het compleet!

De foto’s absoluut realistisch, hoewel het in het echt nog beter is. Een fantastische gîte met een goed zwembad en mooie tuin. Eve is fantastisch, je ziet haar niet maar als je haar nodig hebt dan is ze er meteen. Super lief en leuk om mee te praten. Een echte aanrader voor wie rust en privacy wil. Wij zijn een gezin met 2 jongens van 13 en 10.

Great place for a getaway! The house had everything we needed and was really clean, I loved the outdoor dining area, I mean, who doesn’t love barbecuing under the stars? The only thing was the WiFi could be a bit spotty at times, but honestly, it was nice to unplug, Would definitely come back for another chill weekend!

Wat een heerlijke plek om te vertoeven! Met onze vier kinderen genoten we met volle teugen van de rust en de ruimte die dit vakantiehuis bood. Het was er zalig stil, precies wat we nodig hadden om echt tot rust te komen. Het zwembad was een absolute droom, zeker tijdens de verzengende hittegolftemperaturen. Verfrissend, kraaknet en perfect gelegen om tussen de duikjes door van de zon te genieten. Ook de omgeving nodigt uit tot ontdekking: we maakten verschillende mooie wandelingen in de buurt en vonden telkens nieuwe plekjes om te bewonderen. En dan is er nog Eve: wat een fantastische host! Zorgzaam, altijd bereikbaar, met oog voor detail en oprechte warmte. Ze maakt het verschil tussen een gewoon verblijf en een memorabele vakantie. Echt een droom van een gastvrouw. Een plek waar we met plezier aan terugdenken!

A fantastic gite in a beautiful setting. This is a very comfortable property with large gardens and private swimming pool. Numerous outside seating areas to enjoy the weather and scenery. The host, Eve is most charming and very discreet. Would love to return.

What a fantastic holiday we had here! Ève is an excellent host, and made sure our stay here was memorable. The rooms were large and clean, with the best beds I have experienced during a holiday. The gîte was equipped with all we needed, including a bed and chair for our baby, a living room with plenty of options to relax, a large kitchen and a BBQ, and of course the beautiful garden with a great pool. The garden is a lovely place to sit and chat, play a boardgame, or have a drink, and the pool is excellent to cool off and swim during the summer. Ève is very discrete while tending to the garden and pool, but available when needed. She is friendly and full of knowledge about the local area, and a lovely person to have an intelligent conversation with. We were glad to share the energy of Eve's Garden for a week, and would love to visit again someday!

If you are searching for a moment in paradise- hereby! Super clean, super pool, super garden and a super host. We stayed for a week and enjoyed every second. The house and garden are so big that you could get lost. The house is highly recommended ( we family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 kids) and once again a great host

Nous avons passé un excellent moment dans cette maison de vacances ! L'emplacement à La Forêt-de-Tessé est tout simplement magnifique, Nous avons passé nos journées à nous prélasser au bord de la piscine privée et nos soirées à cuisiner dans la cuisine extérieure, C'était notre petit paradis, L'endroit était propre et spacieux, parfait pour notre famille, Je regrette juste de ne pas avoir pu rester plus longtemps !

Zeer mooie en karakteristieke accommodatie. De eigenaresse, Eve, is zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij. Het huis is voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt. De tuin is prachtig, je kijkt je ogen uit. Het zwembad is lekker groot. De overdekte patio met barbecue is fantastisch en zorgt ervoor dat je buiten kunt leven, ook als het regent. Een perfecte locatie voor quality time met het gezin!

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus. Dieses Ferienhaus stand schon seit einiger Zeit auf unserer Wunschliste. Wir haben dieses Ferienhaus vor kurzem für eine Woche besucht. Das Haus ist komplett ausgestattet. Der Garten ist wunderschön und bietet viele geschützte Sitzplätze. Das Vordach am Haus ist wirklich ein Pluspunkt zum Verweilen. Der Innenraum wurde bis ins letzte Detail gepflegt. Alles ist vorhanden. Sogar die Plaids für die kälteren Spätsommerabende :-) Eve ist eine super Gastgeberin und sehr gastfreundlich.

Susan und Graham waren phantastische Gastgeber. Wir hatten am Abend unserer Ankunft einen gefüllten Kühlschrank und Wein als Willkommensgruß. Die Ausstattung des Hauses und Grundstücks was erstklassig und liebevoll bis ins letzte Detail. Der wunderbare, weitläufige Garten bietet viele, schöne Rückzugsorte. Die Gastgeber haben uns eine großartigen Aufenthalt ermöglicht. Die Umgebung ist wunderbar ruhig und pittoresk. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen . Our holiday here was peaceful bliss! A real gem in a tranquil rural setting. Well equipped with lots of games and books and all amenities you'd expect from a top class accommodation. Eve is a caring and friendly host, tending to the garden discreetly and always respectful of our privacy. Eve even left us umbrellas on a day when rain was forecast. There are bikes of various sizes available to use, which is a lovely touch. Our only regret is that we didn't book to stay for longer!

Laat ik beginnen met te zeggen dat Eve een heel hartelijke en fijne gastvrouw is. Ze woont in het huis ernaast, maar je ziet haar enkel als je haar zelf opzoekt. Ze staat altijd paraat om je te helpen. Wij hebben voor dit huis gekozen door de mooie tuin en het grote zwembad en die zijn echt een troef! Wij hadden echter de pech om slecht weer te hebben de eerste week van juni en daardoor hebben we er niet echt van kunnen genieten. Het huis zelf was daardoor ook nogal vochtig en koud binnen. De bedden zijn klein en door de vele balken moet je echt oppassen om je hoofd niet te stoten. Er zijn veel trappen in het huis en in de tuin, dus niet echt geschikt voor mensen die slecht te been zijn. Het huis is dus ok als het goed weer is. Dan kan je genieten van de absolute rust. Weet wel dat er niet veel te beleven valt in de buurt. Je zit echt in de middle of nowhere. Een aanrader om te bezoeken is het Chateau van Rochefoucault maar dat is al op 45 min rijden.

Sehr schönes Haus!! Eve, die Gastgeberin, ist sehr freundlich und diskret (wohnt im Haus, das Ferienhaus ist eine umgebaute Scheune). Kein großer, aber sehr schöner Garten mit vielen Ecken und Winkeln. Viele Sonnenliegen, Stühle und Kissen. Die Stühle am Esstisch im Freien sind trotz der vielen vorhandenen Kissen nicht sehr bequem. Ich würde es nicht für 6 Personen mieten, da es nur 1 wirklich schönes Schlafzimmer gibt. Das zweite Zimmer verfügt über eine Treppe im Zimmer und 2 Einzelbetten auf einer Plattform mit Balken neben den Betten. Passen Sie also auf Ihren Kopf auf! Drittes Zimmer über eine Treppe erreichbar (sehr schwierige Balken, achten Sie auf Ihren Kopf). Super Minizimmer mit einem Bett, unter das man ein Einzelbett schieben kann, meiner Meinung nach nur für Kinder geeignet. Für kleine Kinder oder Personen mit Gehbehinderung ist das Haus nicht wirklich geeignet. Es gibt zu viele Stufen, einschließlich Treppen zum Schwimmbad. Auch für ältere Menschen und kleine Kinder ist der Einstieg ins Becken schwierig, da der erste Schritt sehr tief ist. Oder man muss über die Metallleiter direkt in den tiefen Teil gelangen. Für den Pool gab es mehrere (aufblasbare) Spielzeuge. Es ist ordentlich und diskret gepflegt. Wir waren zu zweit mit einem weiteren befreundeten Pärchen unserer 78-jährigen Mutter (die zum Glück noch sehr gut auf den Beinen war) 14 Tage dort und hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub. Das Haus war perfekt für uns. Die Küche hatte alles, was wir brauchten, obwohl es mehr Kochtopf hätte geben können (Spaghetti zu kochen und Soße für 5 Personen zuzubereiten war etwas schwierig, da nur ein großer Topf vorhanden war). Ein wunderschöner großer Ofen. Auf den Fotos ist ein Gasgrill zu sehen, der leider nicht vorhanden war. Auf der Terrasse gibt es einen sehr gepflegten Steingrill, den wir wegen zu viel Aufwand mit Holzkohle (die übrigens vorhanden war) und dem zu heißen Wetter nicht genutzt haben ;-). Im Dorf gibt es absolut nichts zu tun. Für den Weg zum Bäcker benötigen Sie mindestens ein Fahrrad (im Haus vorhanden) (bei nicht guter Kondition steht Elektro zur Verfügung).
