Property is just as it looks in pictures and exceeded our expectations. Location is fantastic as it is located near jumping bridge but in a cove where you don't have to worry about boats flying by while you're in the water. The host was absolutely fantastic. We had issues with our boat and she went above and beyond trying to help us have the best trip by suggesting rentals and things to do without a boat. Would love to go back again!

Annual friend trip

Krista was a great host! She allowed early check in and late check out which was so helpful to our large group! She was easy to get ahold of the whole weekend and helped with questions. Will definitely attempt to rebook next year for our trip.

We had a great weekend at Great Escape. The house is fantastic and convenient to get to the grocery store. The hosts are great and check in/out was very easy. Highly recommend and will certainly be coming back. Thanks!!

Beach or Lake?

After 30 years of beach vacations in S Carolina we did a family reunion in a place very different. The house location, facility, especially the two-tier boat jetty and deck, assured forgetfulness of sand and sea. A wonderful time was had by all generations. Communications with Krista our host were excellent. There have already been some conversations by some about a return some time. Grateful for a very successful week.

Repairs

The house is in a great setting and was as advertised. Great house for a family reunion. Was disappointed with the some repairs that were needed and having to have service people in a few times during the stay. Once repaired it was fine.

We had an amazing time!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and just as described. Our large extended family, ranging in age from 3-80, had a great time being together. The owner made sure everything was ok and the property manager ensured everything was in working order. Nephews wanted the Xbox fixed and she sent someone to fix it even though the parents said it wasn’t necessary. I highly recommend this property.

Family Thanksgiving

This was the perfect 'home away from home' setting for family members coming from several states around the country. Two kitchens stocked with every cooking and baking tool possibly needed, plenty of seating space to eat together, and a great layout to have adequate quiet time or family time.

Getaway by Lake Norris

Beautiful lake and forested areas, nice hikes in nearby state parks. Nearby marina is convenient for pontoon boat rentals, and the house is maybe 1,000 feet from the "jumping bridge". We appreciated the two kayaks, the boathouse with slide, the hot tub, the kitchen amenities, and the mild breezes along the lake at most times. And the internet signal was better than we expected. The two kitchens were nice and were able to fit everyone at the upper level island and dining table for dinner each day. Bedrooms were good sizes and reasonably well furnished. That said, the lake is quite narrow by the house and we had to be on the lookout with motorboats and jet skis coming by every minute or two all day (plus once at 3 a.m. with music blaring). We hadn't realized, until we got there, that there were other properties on either side with no yards on any sides - was certainly not clear from the listing - but there was room to set up our cornhole boards in the parking area. The wasps on the balconies caused us to shut the doors quickly and we still got a few stings. The community pool is very small, not really much of an alternative to the lake, and the water in it was green. Morning hikes through the neighborhood were a serious workout due to steepness of the roads - quite challenging and gave a feeling of accomplishment. It took a day nor two to get used to the house's stairs, both interior and exterior, as they are very steep - use the railings. As for nearby La Follette, there's not much happening. But it was our annual family vacation and it was great to all be together - really no need to be entertained by anything beyond the landscape and each other.

This house is one of our favorites on Norris Lake.

The booking process was very easy and user friendly. The property itself is one of our favorites on Norris Lake. The location is great and it is a "Great Escape" from the realities of life.
