We had the most wonderful time on our family vacation! This is our sixth year staying at this property, and each visit just gets better. The lake seems more beautiful every year, and we always discover new activities to enjoy.Even on rainy days, there’s joy to be found — from swimming off the dock to simply sharing laughter and quality time together as a family.This year, the home was spotlessly clean upon our arrival, which we deeply appreciated. The space fits our family perfectly, and we are forever grateful to Meredith for allowing us to return year after year.Some of our most precious family memories — especially with the grandchildren — have been made here. We’re already looking forward to coming back next year!

My husband and I and our friends had a wonderful time. The place is so beautiful and the house is just perfect. The owner will answer any questions immediately and she is very thoughtful. Make sure you get the code to the house b4 you get to the house because there’s no internet. Thank goodness the owner sense that I was struggling to find the code, so she let me in instead. We will definitely go back…and hopefully with my kids and grandkids. Thank you!

The house and its amenities were both great. Loved the location and the boat dock area. The house furniture was very nice and the bedrooms also were very nice. It over all was a great vacation rental.

We had a great stay! The house was exactly as described and is in a great location on the lake. We had a slight problem unlocking the house when we arrived, but the owner quickly corrected that. Mobile coverage was very limited, but the Internet was great, so you will need to use Wi-Fi calling and texting around the house. The shuffleboard court was a unique feature that everyone loved.

Perfect Stay

Our employees enjoyed staying in the home during their stay in Caryville. The home was beautiful inside and outside. The owner and cleaning team were both great to work with. We would recommend this VRBO to anyone. You won't be disappointed.

Heaven is at Norris Lake

The house was perfect for our extended family. It is clean and well stocked and the photos online do not do it justice. The dock is amazing with plenty of sun and plenty of shade. The location is in a nice cove that is quiet enough for swimming and floating at the dock while taking a break from boating on the lake. It is located within 20-25 minutes of 3 different marinas by boat, for great convenience. We have been coming to Norris Lake for over 30 years now. This is our first time at this area of the lake and we loved it. We will definitely be back. 5 STARS for Emerald Waters.

Lake Norris amazing vacation!!

The house was clean! Plenty of room for everyone. The walk to the lake was sloped comfortably. The host provided very clear instructions regarding the house rules and check out requirements. Lake Norris was the clearest, cleanest and warmest fresh water we have ever experienced!!

Great Location

Location was awesome. Nice cove - safe to swim and easy access to the lake. Getting into town was about 20 minutes. Very clean and owner communication was great. Only thing that is a little irritating is the add-ons as previous reviews state. $100 for paddle board (which for most properties is included), deposit plus rental of the hydro lift if you want to keep your boat covered while staying. We did not want to use the lift but would have to pay even if it was lowered and not used. Fortunately the weather was nice and I kept it tied to the dock. Other places I've stayed would simply drop the lift out of the way so I could pull in to the covered area. I would definitely rent here again - location was great - one of the best coves we've stayed on.

Great house and location

One of the best houses we have rented at Norris lake. Coffee maker was broke and one was delivered the same day! We were treated very very well. Hopefully we will get to rent this house again someday. Mary

Family getaway

The lake home is spacious. We had 12 guests and did not feel crowded. Inside was clean and well equipped. Sits on a beautiful lot. We spent a ton of time on the nice dock. It is difficult pulling a boat in the driveway. Upper deck needs cleaning. We would stay again. Owner was very helpful! It’s a great place!

Boat trip

Location was good, access to the lake was easy. Upstairs clean , the basement area could have used more attention. The back deck was nice but needed attention., the furniture and decks were in need of cleaning . I did no have access to anything to clean area with so we could not clean the area ourselves Screen door was broke and needed repaired.We could not use it and it kept falling off. I would recommend the house

Beautiful

Our family visited over Labor Day and I just wanted to take a moment and say how grateful I am to have found this place! It was beautiful and fully stocked for anything we might need.. had the perfect amount of space for our group and a beautiful view of norris lake! We enjoyed coffee on the dock in the mornings the water during the day and playing pool together as a family in the evenings! The owner was very quick to respond to any questions or needs and we truly appreciate everything! Thank you so much for letting us stay! We made memories together to last a lifetime

Wonderful for a friends weekend

This place was incredible. This was my first time at Norris Lake and I couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The property was beautiful and had everything you could want- great location, large dock, games, plenty of space, beautifully modern touches. The host was incredible and very responsive and helpful. I definitely recommend renting the paddle boards! We would definitely come back to this property.

It was just okay

The house itself was nice. Room for everyone. I have a few complaints. The house sleeps 12 but there was only enough towels and wash clothes for 6. There was no dishrags for the kitchen. There were fees for everything. If you wanted to rent the paddle boards there was a fee. If you used them without permission there was a fine. If you threw trash away in the outside cans without being bagged there was a fine. If you used the hot tub there was a fine. A notice would’ve been better saying no guests was to use the hot tub. Also there was light switches all over. They were labeled nicely but too many. And a fire pit was offered but no wood. The house was great. We enjoyed our stay but wouldn’t come back.

PERFECT LAKEHOUSE

We rented Big Creek with family to celebrate 2 of our boys and 1 of our nephews birthdays. The location was prefect. The home was exactly as described, but better in my opinion! It seems they upgraded some furniture after the photos were taken. Check in and communication were super easy. Meredith reached out to me for some check in concerns, but nothing that hindered our stay! I highly recommend this home for family gatherings and enjoying the lake! And to comment on the water temp in April (because I looked for several reviews), the water was still enjoyed by the kids even though it was chilly, however, for short periods of time. :) Everyone enjoyed fishing!

Perfect Lake House

No fireplace/no internet

The fireplace didn’t work. I let the owner know and they were supposed to get back with me. They never did. The internet access was horrible. I had to drive into town so I could get some of my work done, which was a huge disappointment. Other than that, the place was nice.
