Welcome to Rockton Retreat, a cozy fully equipped 2 bedroom home with extra sleeping areas for up to 10 tucked along the edge of Wisconsin state land deep in the Kickapoo Valley. Step off the back deck and you're on the snowmobile trail. No trailering, no hauling, just ride.
This is base camp for every season. Chase whitetail in November with state land right out the back door. Paddle the winding Kickapoo River in the summer, with canoe and kayak rentals just minutes away. Ride the ridge roads in October through some of the most scenic motorcycle routes in the Midwest. And when winter hits, you're on the trail before your coffee gets cold.
Inside you'll find 2 comfortable bedrooms sleeping up to 6 plus the basement sleeping area that can accommodate 5, a full kitchen ready for real meals, a basement rec room with a comfy couch and TV, and one full bath to clean up after your outdoor adventures. Head out back to the spacious deck overlooking state land, perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks around the gas grill.
Around the corner you'll find the Rockton Bar, a true Wisconsin institution with cold drinks and great food. Wildcat Mountain State Park and its stunning overlooks of the Kickapoo River valley are just minutes away. Horse trail access nearby lets you take in the Driftless region from the saddle, and the nearby Amish community offers baked goods, quilts, honey, and handmade crafts you won't find anywhere else. Wisconsin Dells and La Crosse are each an easy hour away for a day trip.
One dog is welcome with an added pet fee. Yard is not fenced, so please supervise your pup and clean up after them.
