The communication with the owner was excellent. And the location was also excellent with stores, gas stations and restaurants with a 5 minute drive. The home was clean and in good condition. The beds were Cozi and comfortable. The basement was nice as well with plenty of games and a table to play them on. The free laundry was a great added touch. I would definitely return and recommend the 1955 to others.

Blankets, either on the beds or available in the closets, would have been nice, since the outdoor temps dropped. Also, the back door motion detector was off and on most of the night due to the wind outside. I couldn't figure out how to shut that light off. Kept me awake all night, since there weren't room darkening shades on the window.

Only stayed for one night so didn't get to explore the area too much; but close to UW LaCrosse where we were attending the WIAA State High School Track Meet.House is clean and well organized for some of the smaller spaces -- kitchen and upstairs bathroom.It would have been nice to have access to the garage so we could store my husband and mother-in-laws bikes overnight. And we missed having a dishwasher but did enjoy some of the unique things you find in a house of this age. Kids thought the in cupboard cutting board was fun as were the clothes shoot. :)

We had a great time in La Crosse. The house was great for our needs. My little one appreciated the basement where he had more room to run around. The layout was a bit more tight than I imagined but we were all comfortable.

Very enjoyable

From booking to checkout, this may have been the most seamless VRBO adventure we've ever had. Unit was very, very clean at check in. If we had any questions/concerns, Tina was very, very prompt in replying. We also learned that LaCrosse is a pleasant city with friendly accommodating people whereever we went.

Great Crash Pad for a Weekend Stay

We stayed for the weekend while visiting family in the surrounding area. This place was extremely easy to get to upon arrival to La Crosse and had many convenient businesses nearby. I would certainly look at returning to this property in my next visit.
