"We cannot say enough positive things about the gardenia garden house. It was a wonderful location to explore the beaches and hiking spots around Chania, and experience the lovely culture of the people of Sternes. It is within 10 minutes of the airport but feels a world away. Comfortable furnishings surrounded by lemon and olive trees,herbs to cook with in its well equipped kitchen all made it a comfortable home for us. Hoping to return to this lovely spot!"

"The communication with Eleanna was great and she met us soon after our drive from the airport in Heraklion. The apartment was beautifully decorated and kept, as the photos indicated. Everything worked well. When the town water was cutoff we were kept informed. "Met by Christina- showed us around flat. Very clean and lots of supplies. Comfortable beds and pillows! Needed a new propane tank which arrived in 10 minutes and they installed. This family owns Well of The Turf restaurant- we checked it out- Amazing food and prices are reasonable! Loved being embraced by this working family. This flat was in the ‘ mix’ of things- close to all of old Chania, yet safe and very quiet. I recommend this accommodation!"

She gave us great suggestions for places to visit, including stargazing from Omalou Plateau. "Our place was very spacious for 4 people ( 2 couples), kitchen well equipped, lots of towels provided, great space for sleeping however beds were uncomfortable. Location was very good once we figured out where we were and where the main road was ( restaurants, groceries and bus to harbour). All in all, a very stood stay."

"We stayed for 4 nights at this beautiful property in May. During our stay, our tire on our rental car had gone flat and the staff/team at Domes Zeen went above and beyond to make sure that it was resolved with the company (without us even asking). They also had their service/maintenance department come and take a look. The food and service was amazing. We were greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine in the room along with some cookies. The buffet was phenomenal- plenty of options ranging from meats, eggs, cheese, fruit, yogurt, coffee, mimosas. An additional benefit was that their lobby provides (at no additional cost) some snacks and wine/beer/drinks throughout the day - and you can watch the sunset with a glass of wine from the lobby! The grounds were very well maintained and the room was stunning. Every day they would do turn down service and bring bottles of water to our room. Close enough of a walk from old town Chania but it is a bit of a distance - maybe 15-20 min walk. It’s worth walking to the old town and not driving as parking may be tough in town. Enough restaurants nearby the hotel as well as some grocery shopping / dessert shops. Overall I would highly recommend staying here! "
