This has been best experience ever , such a great location withing Isle de la Sorgue . Town is easy access to the Luberon and to Avignon for convenience. Host where very graceful , apartment unique and larger than it looks , clean no hidden surprises , will stay there again. of all 20 apartments rented through different source this one is our very favorite .

Peace in Provence

I loved this property. It is beautifully presented, with a very comfortable bed, excellent aircon, great shower and new kitchen appliances. The location couldn’t be better, right in the middle of town, near to bars restaurants a small supermarket, boulangerie and butcher’s. I didn’t have a car as I had friends staying nearby who were driving me about so I can’t comment on the parking. The apartment is remarkably quiet considering the location. It’s a great spot which I highly recommend

Great Place!

This is a great place! It's centrally located in the village, and the Thursday farmer's market is on the doorstep. The home is modernized and roomy and has all the necessities. Even though the place is modernized, it gives the feel of an authentic old-world lodging. Also, Celia was very nice, informative and easy to reach. We would definitely stay here again!

Wunderschöne zentral gelegene Wohnung

Die Wohnung liegt mitten im Zentrum von L'Isle sur la Sorgue. Sie ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen erholsamen und angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht. Die Zimmer sind sehr liebevoll und geschmackvoll ausgestattet.Alles wichtige (Bäcker, Lebensmittelläden, Restaurants und Bars sind leicht zu Fuß zu erreichen. Der Wochenmarkt findet 2 mal pro Woche direkt vor der Haustüre statt. Wir haben hier immer viele leckere Sachen eingekauft. Für uns war es ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt.Wir werden gerne wieder kommen.

Amazing quiet spot in the middle of it all

We absolutely loved our time at this loft style apartment. We found it very spacious for 2 people and spent a lot of our 3 weeks there gazing out the window at the activity in the church square. Everything from market (literally right outside your door), to children going to school, elderly folks walking their dogs, people in cafes, tourists, etc. However, by nightfall, it was exceptionally quiet to sleep. The spaciousness of the apartment was wonderful for us and the open feeling outside (not staring into an alley or another window) was really private. So, in the middle of a lot of fun activity, you had openness, privacy and peace for sleeping. The kitchen was very well equipped, bed was very comfortable, shower was great - all the amenities. One note that must be said is to address the stairs. You will find them in many French properties and they are not for the faint of heart. There are not many but they are tricky. We got used to them as you will. This is a lovely gem in the heart of a very bustling and fun village.

Superbe appartement dans un superbe village.

Superbe emplacement, petit bémol, pas de parking à proximité ou un parking permettant de charger et décharger avec un délai d'au moins une heure minimum. Logement agréable à vivre, tout y est facile excepté l'escalier d'accès. Propreté irréprochable. Température gérée par climatisation appréciable.

Perfect Location & Property

We LOVED our stay in this thoughtful, modern and right in the heart of Ly.'isle sur la Sorgue apartment. Wonderful view of the square and especially fun to watch the market on Thursday and Saturday right from the window overlooking the church. Celia was easy to communicate with and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The stairs up and within the apartment could be an issue for someone with mobility issues, but after the first trip up we actually grew to love them. FYI, the bathroom is on a different floor than the bedroom which could be tricky at night if you aren't 100% stable on your feet. Overall a 10+ for us! We would definitely book again!

Wonderful central apartment

We loved our stay in this centrally located apartment in L’Isle Sur La Sorgue. The owner was very friendly and there to check us in. Her communication was timely and easy. The apartment had a comfortable bed, AC when you needed it, and all the things you would want for a short or longer stay. The kitchen was well stocked, and the washer/dryer was very helpful to have. We loved being in the center of town and being able to walk to everything. The parking was nearby and an easy walk to the apartment. This is a perfect place to spend time in Provence and to explore the area. and as a bonus, the market on Thurs and Sun is right outside your door for all the freshest local products. We highly recommend this place and will be back.

L‘Isle-Sur-La-Sorgue ist ein guter Ort um dessen Umgebung zu erkunden. Es ist im Ort immer was los und es stehen genügend Restaurants zur Verfügung. Die Wohnung in einem historischem Gebäude ist sehr schön renoviert und in top Lage.

Charmante Wohnung im Zentrum

Wir waren zu 2. für 5 Tage in der Provence. Isle sur la sorgue ist ein schönes Städtchen mit vielen schönen und guten Restaurants und Läden; es hat viele Antiquitätenhändler*innen und lädt sehr zum Verweilen ein. Es ist auch ein perfekter Ausgangsort, um umliegende Dörfer und Städtchen zu besuchen (Uzès, Avignon, St.Remy de Provence, Apt, Aix en Provence). Die Wohnung ist mitten im Zentrum, sehr charmant mit ihren kleinen Treppen und einem einladenden kleinen Balkon mit Aussicht über die Dächer. Die Küche hat alles, was rund ums Kochen gebraucht wird und ist sehr schön, offen zum Wohnbereich eingerichtet. Im Wohn- und Schlafbereich hat es sogar eine Klimaanlage, falls erwünscht. Wir waren erstaunt über die Sauberkeit dieser Wohnung, da wir das noch nie so gut erlebt haben - einfach topp!!! Wir können diese Wohnung wärmstens weiterempfehlen und danken Celia und Robert herzlichst.

Best appointed and located!

We loved being in the centre of this lovely town and enjoyed the twice weekly markets just outside our door. Great apartment to cook in and superb views. Lots of things to see and do in town and wonderfully located to go by car to many Provence towns and cities. Would stay again. If you have trouble with stairs best to look somewhere else.

Excellent apartment- location, facilities all round

The apartment was excellent, very well equipped, spotlessly clean and a fantastic location. L’Isle Sur La Sourge is a beautiful place in Provence. It was busy and bustling with plenty going on without being noisy. We travelled by train which was very easy and getting about without a car also very good with reasonable access to many locations by bus or train. Communication with the owner was excellent from start to finish. Thank you for a lovely stay

Awesome apartment

This apartment was perfect for our 7 night stay in Provence. The apartment is well equipped with everything we needed - it is an interesting layout with multiple stories and many steps. The bed is comfortable. The view is directly across from the cathedral and main market square. The location is central to many areas to visit.

Awesome location in L’Isle sur la Sorgue

Celia was way to contact and very responsive! The location cannot be beat as it was located on the main Square with convenient free parking. There were lovely views of the courtyard and several very close pastry and coffee shops! I would note the the stairs are narrow And steep so the setting may not be the best for all visitors. We had a fabulous time there!

A lovely apartment in a beautiful village!

We have stayed in many vacation rentals in Europe over the past 10 years and L’Olivier sur le Toit was perhaps the best we’ve ever experienced. It is perfectly located in the centre of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue in a beautiful square with restaurants, cafés and a bakery just steps away. Free parking is available just a short walk from the property. The duplex apartment itself is lovely, spacious and comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped including all the appliances you may need. A washing machine with a built in dryer is also provided and this came in handy since we stayed for 11 nights. Air conditioning with remote control is available both on the main level and upstairs in the bedroom. As noted in the description of the property, there are a lot of stairs, including a narrow winding flight to get to the apartment. This didn’t pose a problem for us but could be an issue for someone with physical challenges. The owner, Celia, was a terrific host who communicated regularly with us before and after our arrival and provided lots of helpful information. We had a wonderful stay we definitely hope to return again in the future.

Perfect apartment in Perfect location

We had a great 6 days in this wonderful and fun apartment. Views of the city center and market were spectacular. The location was convenient to the market with quick access to restaurants and shops. The TI was just across the square and the staff were very helpful. The small deck off the bedroom was a nice spot for an evening glass of wine. Celia was responsive and helpful. We parked in the lot Celia suggested and it was just a short 3 or 4 minute walk. The reviews were helpful, and as many have mentioned, the stairs are something to be aware of, but not all that difficult if you don't pack into enormous suitcases. The stairs are typical of buildings and many small hotels in old European city centers. L'isle sur la Sorgue was a perfect base for driving throughout the Lubron region and we hope to return soon!
