Villa is a good size - the 3 bedrooms are all very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped for a holiday stay. The pool was the right size for 4 adults - could bob about on a lilo and deep enough to jump in at one end, but you aren't going to hold Olympic races. It was cleaned twice while we were there, so no problem with dirty water etc
The villa is in a very quiet and peaceful area on the edge of town. It's about a 20 min walk to the sea front and the restaurants through a residential area with no shops/bars/restaurants in between. There is a local cafe/bar 5 mins from the villa which also sells bread & pastries. There are several supermarkets in L'Escala (Lidl, Aldi, Carrefour, Supermercado) but they are all at least 2k from the villa - you need a car to do the food shopping
L'Escala is a nice seaside town with a good selection of restaurants. Due to its proximity to the French border, it's more popular with French & Spanish holiday makers than British, and this is reflected in the style of bar & restaurant - no "British Pubs" showing the football
