What a beautiful getaway we had! The house was exactly like the pictures and had everything we needed. Check in was easy and extending our stay was even easier. We enjoyed the property so much that we extended our original stay. What the listing doesn't mention is how beautiful the property is or how much wildlife there was to watch. We spent every morning and evening watching the deer, turkey and birds. Bring your binoculars. We enjoyed having access to the water, without all of the tourist traps. This is the perfect property for a peaceful getaway.

Graduation Perfect

We have stayed at this cabin before and found it enchanting. We love the proximity to everything, yet perfectly peaceful and a wonderful place to enjoy time alone or with family. We stayed here for our daughters graduation from TXST and had a few family members over for cake afterward. It was absolutely wonderful. We also were able to enjoy a day to unwind and enjoy the grounds. We will come back again for sure.

Nature time

It was a beautiful place, we had the property all to ourselves and just got to be in nature. The river is a bit dried out due to environmental changes in the area, so it wasn’t the best human swimming hole, but the dogs still loved it. Host was communicative and responsive.

Wonderful place!

Loved this property! Close to town, but its location is very secluded and peaceful. The river is in walking distance, but an easy drive if you have stuff to carry. Parts of the river are shallow enough for young children, but it also has deep swimming holes. Also, the steps to the river make it easily accessible for people who have difficulty climbing steep steps. The house was very cute and very clean. We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful stay

We loved our stay at this little cottage - what a relaxing atmosphere and view. Everything was clean and check in was easy. Was just beautiful and would def go again. Our only complaint was that, I do agree with some reviews that amenities provided are a little limited. I realize that they don’t want to leave a whole package of dishwasher pods as people may take them - but they only left 3 pods for for a 3 night stay with 4 adults and also only 2 rolls of toilet paper. So it was annoying to have to go to Walgreens and pick them up half way through the stay- esp as they require you to put the dishwasher on as part of the leaving requirements.

Thanksgiving Stay

This was the perfect place to stay to visit with our family. The property was clean and peaceful. The river was beautiful and we loved watching the deer. It was the perfect retreat after visiting with family in Austin & San Antonio and the proximity to the highway and town was great. We will definitely stay here again.
