Bonne atmosphere

J'avais deja sejourne dans cet hotel il y a 2 ans et je suis de nouveau tres satisfait de mon sejour de 3 jours. Les bungalows tout en bambou sont simples mais confortables (la douche a ete ameliore), le petit jardin est agreable, le personnel tres aidant location de scooter, transfert, ...), le petit dejeuner tres bien, le wifi fonctionne correctement, atmosphere sympa. Un tres bon rapport qualite / prix et une situation assez centrale dans la partie vivante de Kuta Lombok (sans etre trop pres des lieux bruyants).

Great place

Really nice hotel. Owner was really friendly. Beautiful place, really cozy and amazing breakfast. Close to center of town but far away enough so you didn't hear all the noise from the bars at night.

Far from perfect

The overall experience was OK, but there were several elements missing and some miscommunications that ended up affecting our stay. Now, I know that this is out of the control of the hotel, but there are frequent power cuts in Kuta Lombok and this led to very very annoying Wifi drops, as well as shutdown of the air conditioning in the room. Breakfast was REALLY small portions so we asked for extra pieces of bread from the kitchen. Due to our inability to communicate with the staff, at check-out they ended up charging us for 2 full extra breakfasts for a total of 4 slices of bread! Had we been warned by the kitchen staff, we would have ordered 2 actual extra breakfasts, not only pieces of bread! The employee at check-out showed no empathy for this situation and only seemed interesting in adding extras to the bill: This is disappointing since we used a lot of the other services of the guesthouse such as scooter rental, minibar, etc. I would not recommend.

The hot water was broken, there were bugs inside the room. And the checkin/checkout process is inconvenient. It is in a good location. But the wifi is spotty and not reliable. I wouldn't recommend it.

We had a nice stay. The staff is very helpfull and friendly. The room was claen nice and basic. I loved the hangmats in the garden. I would stay here again!

Très bon séjour

Les bungalows en bambou sont très sympa (même s'il fait un peu chaud sans climatisation) dans un cadre agréable. Le personnel est disponible. Bon petit déjeuner. Dans une rue vivante avec pleins de restaurants. Possibilité de louer des scooter (50 000 IDR/j) pour explorer les plages des environs. Attention cependant au prix des transports proposés (navette collective ou voiture privée) qui sont très surévalués. Si vous arrivez de l'aéroport, ne pas prendre un taxi aux guichets qui vous font croire qu'ils sont officiels, mais ne pas hésitez à sortir du bâtiment pour trouver 2 à 3 fois moins cher.

Bien situe. Beau cadre (jardin agreable). Bungalow tres sympa meme si le confort (sdb) reste parfois basique. Tres bon petit dejeuner. Bon service (aide pour louer des scooter par example). Plutot bien situe mais si pour veritablement au centre

Ons verblijf in Same Same is nogal tegengevallen. De bamboo hutten zijn leuk gemaakt, het bed is comfortabel en voorzien van een muskietennet. De douche is basic met een harde waterstraal. Het terrein is echter erg klein en helemaal volgebouwd. Van een plek iets verder van het centrum, verwacht je toch dat je in ieder geval een beetje ruimte hebt. Van de 'lush garden' merk je niet zo heel veel, je hebt vanuit je veranda vooral zicht op je buren en overburen. Bij aankomst moesten we onszelf eerst inschrijven op een tablet, daarna moesten we ook alle gegevens invoeren op de laptop. Dit hebben we overigens geweigerd te doen. Voor het ontbijt kun je kiezen uit de gebruikelijke eier-opties, pannenkoeken en nog wat meer. Dat was prima en wordt geserveerd op je veranda. Wij hadden helaas de pech dat onze veranda 's ochtends in de zon ligt, dus dan is daar ontbijten niet fijn. De kamer had itt tot wat staat vermeld op de site geen plafond-ventilator, maar een kleine muurventilator. De bamboo-stoelen op de veranda zouden een stuk comfortabeler zitten als er wat kussens in zouden liggen. Door het zitten in de stoel heb ik enorme uitslag op mijn rug en benen opgelopen, die na 5 dagen nog niet weg is, ondanks medicatie. Waarschijnlijk een soort bamboo-bug. Ik heb dit overigens doorgegeven aan de eigenaar en hij zou de stoelen grondig laten reinigen.

idéale pour se reposer et faire de belle rencontre

Très agréable pour y passer un moment, seul, entre amis ou en famille. Choix entre dortoirs de 6 personnes ou bungalows. Personnellement j'étais dans un dortoir où j'y ai fait pleins de belles rencontres. La chambre est nettoyée tous les jours. il y a à disposition un petit ventillo par lit. Petit dej copieux le matin. Très bon service de l'hotel, ils feront le maximum pour vous aider en cas de pb (chambre, faire une exursion, etc). Iils proposent d'ailleurs pas mal d'activités. C'est relativement calme, donc parfait pour se reposer. Je vous conseille le petit restaurant juste en face Nana's, il est parfait pour découvrir les plats locaux. Bien placé pour la plage et le surf.

Great, affordable place to stay

Affordable, comfortable, great staff, great location. We stayed in a bamboo bungalow and it was great. The bungalow is basic but the bed is comfortable, has a good mosquito net, and the room has a comfortable terrace for hanging out. We liked it (and South Lombok) so much we extending our stay for 3 more weeks in the same bungalow.

Good but can be better.

The place is actually well located. BUT there's a huge structure south of the compound, blocking the breeze from the sea, it's like I'm stuck in a valley and it's very very hot, even at night. For the dormitory, there's only a small fan for each bed, I can't sleep due to the heat, and the bed sheet & pillow case are full of my sweat the next morning. The building layout is also not ideal, each bungalow either faces the east or west. Either the morning sun or the evening sun or both will hit directly. The property also imposes a 5% service charge, on top of what I already paid thru Expedia. Saying it's to encourage the staff for their hardwork. Well, I know 5% isn't a lot of money, but why can't they just add it into the price? Next, unfortunately the wifi never works with my phone. It works with some other people's phone though. At 1st, I thought ok, maybe it's an isolated case, since mine's an old iP4s. However, the next morning I met another 2 guests with the same problem, they're on Android phones. I informed the staff, he said he will let the boss know. But until the time I check-out, I still can't connect to their wifi.

We loved our stay at same same bungalows! The location were great and the staff was unbelievable friendly and helpful! The breakfast was amazing and the bamboo shower is just something you have to experience!

Best place in Kuta Lombok !

What a great place ! One of the best during our stay in Indonesia ! We had the confort room. Very clean, big and beautiful. The air conditioning was cold and very welcome in this weather. Free water at all time, tea and coffee all morning. The breakfast was really good and we could choose between different options. The staff is Very Nice and you can always ask the owner for anything. Cheap motorcycle hire and cheap surfboards just in front. Many beautiful beaches to explore around, you need a motorbike but it is really fun, safe and and beautiful! The locals are very nice and there is many really good and cheap restaurant in walking distance. Beautiful garden with flowers and cute baby dog ! Good place for couples or backpackers. We stayed 5 nights and could have stayed more really. We would come back for sure !!! They got it Alll right :)

Best place to stay in Kuta Lombok.

Looks old and traditional bangalow, but great managing systems. Very beatiful and nice place. I and my wife were impressed with their small social-minded activities. We dominated small money for abandoned dogs rescue in Kuta Lombok. It was good experience and valuable more than that money. The owners and staffs were very nice and kind. Also being professional. We will stay in Same Same Bangalows again for next Lombok trip.

bad experience

We had booked a room for 3 persons, which we made clear to the receptionist when we got a room with one twin bed. That was not a problem, and they would place a madras in our room later. Later came and the reception closed and we could not contact anyone. We went out for dinner and on the way home (arround 11 pm), we walked up the road at the hotel and a motorbike with 2 persons on drove slowly past the two of us before they grabbed my friends purse. Luckily she held on to the purse, but they ruined her dress by terring it. Not a nice neighbourhood! :-( the next day, the hotel tried to charge us 15% extra for "hotel service" which we surtenly didn't get. We complained and got a refund for the 3rd bed we didn't get.

A great spot for the beach

Really enjoyed our stay. The room was great and the bungalows are just a short walk to the beach. Really recommend it.

Mysigt, rent och trevlig personal

Mysigt ställe med väldigt sköna sängar. Varje säng hade egen fläkt vilket gjorde att det blev perfekt temperatur under natten när man skulle sova. Strömavbrott och wifi låg nere lite titt som tätt, men detta är vanligt i hela Lombok och inget Same Same rår för. Stranden som ligger närmast är inte speciellt fin. Alla andra som bodde där hyrde moped och åkte till andra stränder i närheten som ska vara mycket finare. Frukosten var fantastisk och de som jobbar i köket är helt fantastiska! Skulle definitivt boka detta vandrarhem igen ifall jag skulle återvända till Kuta.

Safe choice good vibes

The owners from Belgium Bart and elfie are warm and personable. Their staff went out of their way to ensure my stay was pleasant. If your are on a budget and want a clean comfortable place to stay while you surf and explore the local beaches and fishing village same same is a safe choice. Good vibes.
