Great location

This was a super impromptu trip for my family. The house was in a great spot. Super close to beach, pier and lots of restaurants. There is no outdoor shower but we were able to use the hose at the back to make sure we didnt bring sand inside. One note- there are no curtains in any of the rooms, so if you are sensitive to light bring a sleep mask! It was just what we needed for our short stay!

Cute beach cottage rental

We really enjoyed our stay at this location. It was a quiet little neighborhood. The house was very clean. It was perfect walking distance to the beach, eating and the pier. Everything else was a very short drive. My only complaint is some of the things that were listed to be available were not. There was no hairdryer,no spices or condiments, no laundry soap, no dish soap, only one dish towel , no extra trash bags, no extra pillow cases. Overall our stay was great and we would definitely rent this house again!

Grate house , like being at home.

Excellent house old school feeling, very nice inside and out. Never went out back or in the garage area .Plenty of room. 2 blocks from the pire and Jack Mackerral restaurant .short drive to Fort Fisher to drive out on the beach to surf fish. Will do again. Thanks 😊

Convenient stay

Excellent location, short, walk to restaurants and beach. The kids who were 10 could walk to the ice cream stand on their own. Very good floor plan , Good living space and eating space. It is nice for kids, nothing really to break. Loved The keyless entry, very easy for check-in and checkout. They have a very cool little wagon to bring stuff to the beach with, which makes it easy to just walk to the beach. It would’ve been nice to have a few more extras at the amenity department. There was only one soap for the dishwasher, no soap for the washing machine, only one washcloth and one towel for the kitchen. No cleaning products. No beach towels so bring your own. Due to coming from the West Coast, our plane flight came in late, and I asked the management company if we could change our date by one day, ( gave plenty of notice )but they said no. So we got in late on Monday, and the trash day was Tuesday, but we overslept, and the trash bins were full. I emailed the management company about this and they never got back to me. The fence in the backyard is coming down and might be dangerous for small kids.

Great!

My family and I had a wonderful time. A very clean and updated house. We have 2 dogs and the place is pet friendly, I believe they had a good time as well. This house is close to the beach and the pier. Whether you like to fish or just set on the beach and listen to the waves, this is a great place. Enjoy your stay, we did.

Great Property but Property Manager is Terrible

I have never written a review like this. -Booking is clumsy at best - as two VRBO reviewers pointed out, a renter pays for and books the property and then is asked to sign an extensive and poorly deaigned contract where much of the same information is requested. So much wrong about this but the most serious aspect of this is that the renter can rightly think they are done when booking the "first time" and then not read future emails Demanding a signed in a thousand places contract needs to be signed to reserve the property. That I actually did read the "2nd booking" email was a small miracle as I wouldn't normally given my schedule and having assumed based on my vast experience w renting places that I was already done, as this is the case w most bookings. -Too many emails - so many darn emails. Just one of many examples. Sending me an email on Sunday at 3pm aftwr I checked out at the designated tine on Sunday at 10am about the trash being picked up on Monday. Seriously? The worst example but by no means the only one. Far too many emails sent in this process, far more than I have ever received. -Nobody there to speak to after you leave the office. This again is not consistent with my other renting experiences. To the owner....your place is great. We really enjoyed it. Ideally located, quiet and private. However, you might consider another Property Manager as these reviews will continue to be critical until you do.

Good location

Only 2 short blocks from the beach. Clean, comfortable. Restaurants, convenience store and fishing pier within 2 blocks. The main large screen TV in the living room had cable. The TVs in the three bedrooms were not hooked to cable. You needed to download an app to watch those. There was plenty of parking. We enjoyed our stay, and would definitely consider coming back.
