We had a great stay at this amazing home just outside of Krelendijk. The house exceeded our expectations with 5 spacious air-conditioned rooms with all the amenities you would expect at an island resort. Our host Rob met us at the property and explained everything the property offered and more. He even returned a couple of times to make sure our BBQ grill would be in good working order for our Christmas Eve feast and to attend to a water supply issue quickly and efficiently. The location was perfect for us, allowing quick trips to the market and restaurants, and the reef off of our private beach was spectacular. We had plenty of snorkel gear and pool floats provided for us. Bonaire was a perfect location for our Christmas vacation with our family, and I can't imagine a better property for our family than Vista Mare. We will be back for sure. Oh, did I mention the sunsets....

We brought lights for our Caribbean Christmas Tree.

Unforgettable Dive Retreat — Perfect for Connection and ComfortWe stayed here with a group of five friends on a scuba trip, and this home exceeded every expectation. Each of us had our own spacious bedroom with an en suite bathroom, making it the ideal setup for both privacy and comfort. Our goal was to have a “base camp” for diving, but also a beautiful space for meaningful conversation and connection — and this place delivered in every way.From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and inspired. Whether we were gathered in the open-air living space, lounging by the pool house, or enjoying the covered porch with its big dining table and comfortable sofas, there were endless spots for conversation and laughter. The infinity pool alone was stunning, the kind of view that belongs on a postcard and just steps beyond it, the ocean became our backyard dive site. Most mornings we geared up, walked ten steps to the water, and descended into a world of coral, colorful fish, and surreal underwater calm.The house itself was beautifully designed for both comfort and style. All bedrooms were air-conditioned, and the main living areas were airy and comfortable with screened windows that invited in the ocean breeze without any bugs. We were close enough to town for easy access to groceries and restaurants, yet tucked just far enough north for complete peace and privacy.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to blend adventure, luxury, and friendship.

Amazing Property!

Had a wonderful trip, exceeded our expectations! Great location with lots of great snorkeling close by, including in the back yard. Property felt like a private resort, well maintained. Rob was easy to deal with and responded quickly. We had one small issue of an air conditioner not working. Rob was at the front door within 15 minutes and had it working shortly afterwards. That was the only “issue” we had all week. We have zero complaints and we all can’t wait to go back!Highly recommend.

Pretty Darn Spectacular

The property is as lovely as the pictures show. All of us thought the place was spectacular and was everything we hoped it would be for our group. Yes, there are mosquitos, but, with the mosquito traps, the strategic use of the overhead fans and with some 'OFF' repellent they were rendered a non issue. With the doors to the house open during the day and the steady breeze form the east the temperature inside the main area is fine. Night time use of the individual bedroom AC units made for comfortable sleeping. Note: The master bedroom is a big space so pre-cooling before bed is helpful.The kitchen is big and pretty well stocked. Best to have a look through all the drawers and cabinets to take an inventory of whats available to you.Most of our time was spent at the poolside making use of all its features. Nice to have the gazebo and kitchenette and fridge. The upper level of the gazebo offers access to the easterly breeze to help mitigate the heat.To be clear, if we return to Bonaire we would not hesitate to come back and stay here again.

Beautiful Oceanfront Property

If you want to wake up and sip your morning coffee overlooking the Caribbean ocean, this is the place for you! Our family decided to venture outside of our normal Bonaire accommodations and Villa Vista Mare did not disappoint. It allowed our entire family to stay under one roof and enjoy all the island has to offer.

Great property

Great place to bring a family. With a little help you can snorkel right in front of home. The pool was awesome, because of all the trees and shrubs you will need to skim pool each morning but no big deal. Lots of places to sit and eat dinner. A 5-10 minute drive to town and grocery stores. The snorkeling is not the best we have seen but plenty of fish. Coral is having some problems. Lots of great restaurants. Took 3 families total of 8 people and plenty of room.

Fabulous Property and Water Access

This was our second stay at this property and loved it just as much this time as two years ago. The access to the water with world-class diving and snorkeling in your back yard is outstanding. The pool that overlooks the water with super comfy lounge chairs, pool house bathroom and full refrigerator creates the perfect place to hang out after a day in the water. This is a big house with plenty of space inside and outdoors for everyone to spread out if they choose or come together to enjoy the pool, play games, eat meals, etc. We did have a few issues (outdoor grill needed gas, couldn't light stove in kitchen, driveway gate broke) which were quickly fixed by management. My one suggestion for management would be to try all the ceiling fans and light fixtures in the property and make sure all are working. We had three ceiling fans that didn't operate (one inside and two outside), which makes a difference when there's no AC in the main part of the house and you want to be outside. And even though the maintenance guy could light the stove, I was never able to figure it out and gave up on cooking breakfast. Not huge deals, but when you're staying in a luxury home, you want things to work. But these issues aside, I would stay at this property again in a heartbeat. It's a beautiful place with comfy beds, plenty of towels for showers and pool, a fully stocked kitchen, places to hang dive gear, pool toys, and even a wheelbarrow to help tote dive gear down to water.

Beautiful Bonaire Villa

Beautiful villa with easy access to the ocean for snorkeling and love the infinity pool. Only down side is main living area is not air conditioned but bedrooms are.

Amazing Family Holiday

We had an amazing experience here as two families vacationing together. The pool area was the definite highlight, and the home is so spacious that you can always find just the right spot to curl up, chill out or socialize depending on your mood. Area is very safe and secure and quiet, but only a short ride to town for groceries or meals or activities. House amenities are plentiful with the exception of shampoo and conditioner so make sure you bring your own. We made the mistake of buying ground coffee and the larger coffee maker uses beans so keep that in mind. And with the beauty of the gardens comes pesky little insects wanting to eat you! so come prepared with repellant (this is just good advice for Bonaire no matter where you stay!) Overall, a fantastic property - already miss the view of the sunset while sitting in the pool with a cool beverage...

Villa Vista Mare - So Luxurious!

This villa was the perfect setting for a long-anticipated friends trip, providing just the right location, space, and ambiance we needed. We gathered in the kitchen as well as the many outdoor living spaces and of course the fabulous pool for hours each day. There were also plenty of areas around the property for everyone to enjoy their alone time. The villa was well appointed with an abundance of dishes (including non-breakable items down near the pool), towels, and storage. We also very much appreciated the ability to use the wireless speakers around the property. The large scuba rinse tank and gear storage area was useful and perfectly located as well. Insect repellent will be mandatory and if you’re coming during an especially hot month (we visited in October and it was VERY hot), we would recommend paying for the extra AC, even if it only cools off the immediate area. When we had a couple hiccups early on in the trip (such as inadvertently setting off an alarm – oops!), we had to bug the host late at night and the response was friendly and helpful on each occasion. They really took to heart that their guests just want everything to be perfect on a dream trip like this and handled our calls with the utmost of friendly customer service. We would book this villa again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful vacation home

What a fabulous home to stay in with a large group of friends. If you’re into snorkeling, you can’t beat the location. Walk off the beach to one of the best reefs in Bonaire. Management was outstanding and the pool , view and outside area was outstanding. We’ll be back.

Beautiful garden, birds, snorkeling and great for a family!!

VRBO - pros and cons Pluses: 1. Location-convenient to the airport, town, grocery. Wonderful beach and snorkeling location. 2. Privacy- quiet and large garden full of songbirds; beautiful infinity pool and cabana with upstairs that was mostly well-maintained (leaves removed once) 3. Kitchen-ample supply of dishes and serving ware, including forks, spoons, skillets, utensils 4. Large beds, some towels 5. Bathroom tissue-good supply Negatives: 1. Coffee-none of the coffee machines worked well; Keurig was barely functional. (Either replace it or tell guests there is not a machine there.) 2. Air conditioning-in some bedrooms was not functioning properly and not working at all in main living areas. Controls were hard to read. No cool area to gather inside in the evenings. 3. Lighting-hard to find corresponding light switches. 4. Stove-hard to light burners 5. Laundry-very small washer and no dryer, (instructions were confusing), bad location in a bathroom attached to a bedroom. 6. Soap-no bar soap in any bathrooms (or at grocery stores); dishwasher and cleaning soaps were minimal 7. Stone stairs leading down from the pool are somewhat treacherous. Highlight them better with color or place a handrail. 8. Gate needs a remote control or other easier access. 9. Mosquitos were still present in dining area under the table.

Wonderful Home and Vacation
