The Gums is a wonderfully private country escape designed for gathering with family and friends, surrounded by peaceful bushland and overlooking open grassland edged by forest.

Sleeping up to 12 guests across five bedrooms with flexible bedding arrangements, there’s plenty of room for girls’ weekends, groups of friends, extended families or two or three families holidaying together. Beautifully styled throughout, warm timber furnishings, rich textures and relaxed country interiors create a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive.

The home is beautifully styled with a warm country feel, combining rustic timber pieces, rich textures and thoughtful details throughout. The kitchen opens into a relaxed lounge area, while the separate dining room provides a lovely dedicated space for long lunches and group dinners. With three wood fires throughout the property, The Gums is especially inviting during the cooler months.

One of The Gums' best features is the separate games barn. Complete with comfortable couches, TV, pool table, wood fire and its own toilet, it's the perfect second living space, whether it's the kids claiming it for the afternoon, a family pool competition or somewhere to relax with a drink by the fire.

Outside, the wrap-around deck looks across the surrounding countryside, where open grassland meets the edge of the forest. Despite its peaceful setting, The Gums is still within easy reach, less than 10 minutes, to Daylesford's restaurants, cafés, shops, galleries and local attractions.

With 44 acres to enjoy, five bedrooms, three wood fires and its own games barn, The Gums is an inviting country retreat where groups can spread out, slow down and enjoy time together.
