Amazing stay!

We had such a lovely week at Villa Betty. The setting is outstanding, surrounded by mountains and next to an old church. The villa itself has absolutely everything you need, but the highlight is the outside kitchen area. Such a lovely place to relax and have an evening meal. Perfect.

Es war sehr schön mit einer wundervollen Umgebung.

Es war eine gute Ausstrahlung mit allem,was man benötigt. Für eine Familie sehr toll,egal ob mit oder ohne Kinder. Lage ist gut ,Grill vorhanden und sehr schöne Sitzgelegenheiten. Pool sauber.

Wunderschöne Lage, toller Pool.

Wir haben die Zeit in diesem schönen Haus genossen. Der Pool war supersauber und sehr schön. Wir können diese Unterkunft weiterempfehlen. Der Gastgeber ist einfach toll und hat uns sehr viele tolle Lokale in der Umgebung empfohlen.

Entspannter Aufenthalt in ruhiger Lage

Die Zimmer sind groß. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Bade- und Handtücher gibt es ausreichend. Der Pool ist sauber. Einkauf- sowie Essmöglichkeiten sind in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Der Flughafen befindet sich ungefähr 25 Minuten entfernt. Bis Dubrovnik braucht man etwa 40 Minuten. Das Haus hat eine ruhige Lage mit einem schönen Ausblick auf Berge. Wir haben dort mit unserem Kind (21 Monate) erholsame Tage verbracht.

Too remote

High in Mountains with great scenery in a village with no amenities, with noisy church bell next door. Terrace and pool were good when sunny, but inside the property was cold and took time to heat up. Internet good and there were a few english speaking channels on the TV. Bathroom and kitchen were good as was off road parking. Property owner very helpful and responded quickly with the minor problems we initially had.

Peaceful, beautiful and very welcoming

We had a lovely stay at Villa Betty and would definitely recommend it. It is in a very quiet location so great to get away from it all. The villa is well appointed and contains everything that we needed for our stay. The pool and outdoor area are fabulous especially with the new covered seating area with bbq. Perfect to relax and escape the sun for a while and a lovely social area. The other big selling point of Villa Betty is the owner, Robert, who is a perfect host. Robert is very welcoming and extremely helpful with recommendations and ideas of places to visit and eat etc and although not living too close, was always at the end of a text should you require anything. The fact that the Villa has played such a big part throughout his life and his undoubted passion for tourism whilst working in the hotel sector, gives him the drive to want to help make your stay a success. Thank you.

Fantastisch

Robert was een superhost, die heel snel reageerde. Het huis is heel proper en de ligging in de bergen maar toch dicht tegen de zee is super. De tuin met zwembad is het pronkstuk van het huis Bedankt Robert voor de prachtige vakantie de we hebben kunnen hebben in uw fantastische woning.

Fabulous Dubravka!

This villa is charming. The outdoor area and views of the amazing hills separating Croatia from Montenegro and Bosnia Herzegovina are amazing. The pool is great and kept amazingly clean. All outdoor furniture is solid wood, giving it that luxury feel. There is a newly constructed barbecue area where we cooked a number of meals. This area will be finished for 2020 with a plumbed-in sink, floor tiles and an outdoor toilet, but we didn't miss them during our stay. Inside the villa has everything you need - two very comfortable bedrooms, shower and toilet room, well appointed kitchen/diner and a sitting room with air conditioning and satellite TV (not UK). All appliances are good quality and work well. There wasn't one thing we were short of. The villa is next door to a splendid church which is one focus of this lovely village that also has a bar, small shop, post office and high quality restaurant - Mrs & Mr Caput . Very nearby are the UNESCO listed ancient burial site at St. Barbara and the brilliantly restored Sokol Tower. Dubravka is a real gem - away from it all yet very accessible to Montenegro, Cavtat and Dubrovnik (only 40 mins drive). Don't miss out on going to Kotor Bay in Montenegro but leave by 7:30am to avoid long border queues, switch off mobile data and take Euros (lots of places wanted cash only). Nearby Gruda (15 mins drive has other restaurants including the very special Konoba Koracheva, two decent sized shops (Pemo best) and a petrol station. The villa owner Robert is a great guy. He was always very courteous by texting ahead of cleaning the pool and watering the garden and provided a concierge service by recommending and booking restaurants and advising on places to visit. Many thanks to you Robert and your family. We had a wonderful stay in Dubravka and wish we were still there.

Nice villa excellent owner

While not the biggest villa we have stayed in, it was more than adequate, two good sized bedrooms, nicely appointed living room with AC. Very clean and well cared for by an excellent owner. The outdoor space is the star of the show with room and an excellent gazebo and BBQ. Quiet countryside with excellent views and a pretty church next door. 30 mins from Airport and lovely town of Cavtat, convenient for Dubrovnik.

Great property, beautiful country!

My husband and I along with our (almost) 2 year old stayed here for just over a week in June 2019. We had super weather and spent a lot of time outside by the pool. We had a few day trips to Molunat, Cavtat and Dubrovnik and visited surrounding restaurants. With the toddler we didn’t want to be out in the sun for too long and so didn’t venture too far and so probably didn’t take too much advantage of the location. The limited night life didn’t bother us as we would rather be outside on the terrace and so the little one could sleep. It was amazing to watch the sunsets from the terrace and in the day to see the cows passing by!

Ideal base to explore a wide area. Quiet, village location on the side of the mountain range

Robert and Yvonne make Villa Betty a home away from home. The house is ideal for a small family with all the usual mod cons, plus a lovely pool. Set in the Konavle region, there are a number of vineyards and olive oil tastings to visit. Robert recommended a great restaurant, Konoba Monkovic, by the river, that served great local cuisine - and the tastiest potatoes I have ever had! There were plenty of food shops and many towns and activities within an easy drive. We drove to Srebreno where we parked for free and got the boat in to Dubrovnik and to Lokrum Island. This was our first visit to Croatia and Robert and Yvonne made it relaxing and comfortable. As a concierge, there isn’t anything he doesn’t know about the local area. Thanks for a great holiday!

Villa Betty

My wife, 2 year old daughter and myself had a lovely relaxing holiday at Villas Betty. Its in a beautiful setting nestled between a small number of residential houses and small holdings, very peaceful and picturesque. Although a little off the beaten track (which is what we enjoyed) there are plenty of places to visit and eat nearby. If you need any advise or even a restaurant booking, Robert the owner is brilliant, being a concierge at a major hotel in Dubrovnik he really is attentive and informative. There are plenty of restaurants we haven't visited but of those we did, Kameni Dvori was excellent. Robert organised for the restaurant to pick us up so we could sample the wine and drop us back off at the villa. The family at the restaurant were really welcoming the setting is beautiful. All their food is locally sourced (if not produced on there land) and cooked traditionally. There is a new roofed area at the end of the garden of the villa which has been well built with local stone and traditional roof tiles which is a great addition to the outdoor area. There's a traditional chimney style BBQ and I believe in the future there will be an outdoor sink, hotplate and toilet facilities. The rooms are of a good size, furnished modernly and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for a good stay. The pool is a good size, a little chilly for a 2 year old but we had taken a little paddling pool so that solved that one. You definitely need a car but the roads are great and there's very little traffic in the immediate area. If you want to pop across to Montenegro then you're no distance from the boarder crossing but don't forget to advise your car hire company as you will require to pay some additional insurance for the trip. p.s. turn your data roaming off on your phone if you cross the boarder as it will cost you if you don't. We loved the landscape with the steep wooded hillsides and Cyprus trees, so pretty. The coastline is also beautiful with clear blue sea. Its the first time we've been to Croatia and we have very much enjoyed our stay. It was made even more relaxing as we new we had Robert at the other end of a quick text if we had any concerns or questions. We were lucky to meet Roberts wife and son and felt extremely welcome in their company. All in all we had a great break and would love to go back. Thank you Robert and family.

A nice house in a really lovely rural area. Great things to see and do, eat and drink. Strong “yes”.

This is in a quiet, unspoiled rural area of great beauty, 20 miles from Dubrovnik, 20 minutes from lovely Cavtat. There are excellent places to eat. Local wines are international class. House has a great pool. Perfect for country walks and, in late April, fabulous wild flowers. Not a place for night life. Weather was near perfect for a week in late April. Hosts are very helpful but not obtrusive in any way. We loved it.

Wonderful family getaway

We had never been to Croatia before and Villa Betty was the perfect base to explore this beautiful country. We had the most wonderful holiday with our two teenagers and the villa had everything we needed for our stay. It is modern with all mod cons and the wifi kept the kids happy. The villa is located in the beautiful hills not far from Dubrovnik and Robert and his wife were very helpful providing us with information on where to go and what to do. There is so much to see and do and when we weren't exploring, lounging round the pool was the perfect way to relax. We thoroughly enjoyed Dubronik and Cavtat but also explored lots of other towns with beaches. We loved snorkelling in the crystal clear waters. The villa is situated close to Montenegro and Bosnia and we drove to both countries easily. I cannot recommend Villa Betty enough. The Clare Family

A delightfully renovated villa, beautifully decorated and in a super location.

Villa Betty is easily as good as the description on the website. Robert (the owner) and his lovely wife were attentive and couldn't have been more helpful, even making restaurant reservations for us. The villa has everything you need and is well placed for trips to Dubrovnik and Cavtat (both are a must). It is equally as tempting to sit by the private pool and admire the dramatic scenery that circles the villa, you can even see the sea! It is not often that a villa ticks all the boxes, this one certainly does. Thanks for everything, you both deserve great praise for creating this brilliant villa. Good luck with your future plans, they sound very exciting.

A beautiful property, in a lovely setting. Ideal for a relaxing holiday.

The villa is very clean with everything you need. The location is very quiet and out of the way, but not to far from the nearest village. Robert and his wife are excellent hosts and are always on hand if you need anything.

Brilliant experience - can only recommend highly

We, as a family of 4, had a perfect holiday in this comfortable holiday home hidden away in beautiful mountain setting in a rural village. The owner Robert and his family made the greatest efforts to give us a great holiday experience and gave lots of helpful tips, made reservations and was available for questions 24/7. The outdoor area is very well done with a good size pool,sitting area in the shade and grass area with fruit trees for the kids to play. Everything was clean and well thought out. A lovely villa with a great outdoor area - the swimming pool is an absloute winner!

Robert and Yvonne were so welcoming and we had an absolutely fantastic stay here at Villa Betty - it was great to get away from it all and be staying in a quiet village setting but still be within an easy drive of beaches and Dubrovnik. The views from the villa are stunning - we really didn't want to leave!
