Michael was an excellent host. He was always there when we had any questions or we needed anything he told us don’t hesitate to call if you find there’s something you need that is not in the house.He is the perfect host.

Great place

A lovely, private and secluded setting. Although close to the airport, really and surprisingly minimal noise. Supermarket close…great walks directly from the house and access to Cavtat and Dubrovnik really easy!

This is the most beautiful property and location. So tranquil but within easy reach of amenities. Owners could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Everything you need is catered for. All of my party of 7 would happily stay again and recommend. Miss it already!

Just perfect

We travelled as 2 couples and spent our last 5 nights here. The location was so peaceful despite being so close to the airport. The gardens and pool were just the perfect place to chill after travelling around Croatia. Tonca is a lovely lady and is very friendly and helpful. The local restaurant and supermarket are just a 2 minute drive away and the food is amazing, we ate there almost every night, great choice too. Would highly recommend Villa Sun ☀️

Fantastic stay

We had a fantastic 12 day stay at Villa Sun.Tonca was very kind and helpful, she was very thoughtful and left us a very welcome platter which was much appreciated. The Villa is ideally situated for both Cavtat, which is beautiful, and the airport, so nice not to have to travel far to the airport and yet the Villa was so peaceful! The Villa itself was perfect for the 4 of us, very clean, the pool was great, setting lovely, very easy to travel to other places, we couldn't fault it and would love to come back to again. Thank you for having us, we had a fantastic time.

Fantastic

The best villa we have ever stayed in. Lovely quiet village but a supermarket and great restaurant within 10 min walk. Cavtat short drive away- blown away by its beauty. Dubrovnik within easy reach too. Beautiful spacious villa, fully air con and wonderful pool. Quality furniture, plentiful amenities and the hosts were just delightful. We will be back. Very sad to leave.

Wonderful

What an amazing place ! We had a weeks stay in June at the property and had a fantastic time. The villa is perfect, the pool is fantastic and we spent many a lovely evening sat on the balcony stargazing. Although close to the airport it was remarkably quiet and we hardly noticed the planes at all. Tonca was a great host, she met us when we arrived and provided lovely food and wine, she gave us some insight into the area for our stay which was really helpful. Cavtat is a lovely village with nice bars and restaurants, a trip into Dubrovnik is a must. We loved the area and will definitely be coming back.

Super nice Villa!

We were with 7 people for 7 days in the villa and had a great stay! We had lots of space, the flat and kitchen were equipped with everything we needed! We were also very grateful for the air conditioning in all rooms. The outdoor area with the pool was also great! We also had several barbecues there! The landlords were very nice, always answered quickly and helped us well. Thank you very much for everything!

July 24 . Great stay

Beautiful villa, gardens and pool, just as pictures, a home from home with all the little extras thought of. Tonca and her husband are wonderfully kind hosts, with nothing too much trouble, arranging airport pick ups / drop offs, baking us a lovely cake and leaving a bowl of fruit for us. Nice resturant and supermarket in easy walking distance of villa. Walked into Cavtat once but used taxi s on other occasions due to the heat, which were reasonably priced. Enjoyed the beach in Cavtat and a trip to Dubrovnik on the boat. Hope to return and would definitely recommend.

Nous étions 2 couples très gentiment accueillis par Tonca qui est une personne absolument charmante et très attentionnée. La villa est vraiment magnifique, très joliment meublée et décorée. Le jardin est également très agréable ainsi que la piscine. Le village est très calme, la proximité de l'aéroport n'apporte aucune nuisance. La proximité de Cavtat est très appréciable avec ses commerces et nombreux restaurants, son joli port et ses navettes bateaux pour différentes destinations. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour, notre seul regret: ce fut trop court! Encore merci à Tonca pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité.

The villa is set in a quiet village with a supermarket just 10 minutes walk away. Although it is close to the airport, you do not really hear the planes. Tonja the host is very good, calling one evening with cakes that she had made, and also giving gifts to us on leaving. It was a real help that they picked us up at the airport and even took us to the supermarket after getting to the villa. The villa was very clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils. Everything was just what we wanted. I cannot express how happy we all were with the villa. I would definitely recommend this villa to someone wishing to go there.

Excellent villa and location.

I concur with everything already said about Tonca and her husband, they were perfect hosts. We chose not to hire a car. There is a large supermarket and restaurant ten minutes walk away. At the end of the garden is a footpath to Cavtat which at a slow pace takes about an hour, lots of excellent restaurants and boat trips to various places, I did in truth only walk back once as it was very hot and quite a hill to climb, the taxi was pretty cheap so worked very well. The villa is quite close to the airport but did not bother us much at all. Tonca arraned the transfers for free and a really nice welcome treat. We would consider staying here again for sure!

Perfect & Beautiful

This house is seriously amazing, one of my best rentals ever (& I have done a lot). It's huge, super clean & really beautiful. I couldn't have been happier. The Terrace is so gorgeous it's hard to tear yourself away. However, you can do the walk into Cavtat from just outside the house, the supermarket is only 8 mins walk (There is a shortcut) and the restaurant (Domestico) is fantastic too. The garden & pool lights up at night which is just magical. Garden full of orange & olive trees. Close to the airport but you can hardly hear the planes. And then there is Tonca, she is the best host. Very communicative throughout, helpful with everything & also lovely. We had a mis-hap & she couldn't have been more kind & reassuring. She even bought us a leaving gift. Thank you so much Tonca. You should book this!

From booking to departure our stay at this beautiful villa has been a joy. Tonća is the perfect host, not only from the point of view of communication, but also the warmth of the welcome we received when we arrived, to the periodic gifts she left - fruit, home baked cake and other wonderful surprises.As for the Villa, the location is perfect. Less than a five minute drive from the airport, and not much more from the wonderful town of Cavtat. Well equipped, clean and comfortable, the absolute highlight is the outdoor space, the pool, patio and gardens being beautifully presented. The airport noise is in no way intrusive.You’ll probably want a car to make the most of your stay, although it is possible to walk to Cavtat via a path through the trees at the bottom of the garden. Cavtat itself is a gem - beautiful, with a relaxed vibe and some wonderful seafront restaurants.A truly memorable holiday at a wonderful villa - thank you Tonća!

Beautiful property

Two friends and I stayed here with our show dogs whilst attending a Championship Dog Show in the area. The house and gardens were beautiful. We never got a chance to sample the po but it looked very inviting by day and beautiful at night. We were made feel very welcome by the owner and she was very informative about the area. The rooms were large, bright and spacious and the facilities were excellent. The location was quiet but very pretty. I would certainly recommend this property to someone looking for a suitable base for touring.

Die Unterkunft ist für die Erkundung von Dubrovnik und Umgebung hervorragend. Wir wurden mit einem gedeckten Tisch empfangen und beim Handtuchwechsel gab es frischen selbstgemachte Kuchen. Selten wurden wir so freundlich empfangen und umsorgt, wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Very pleasant stay

When we were planning a trip to Dubrovnik, I looked over endless listings and did not have a clue where to stay. This beautiful property is located just outside Cavtat. Cavtat is a lovely harbor village with nice restaurants. We loved Dubrovnik, about 30 minutes away by car but it is busy. Cavtat is much lower key but beautiful. This property is beautiful and peaceful. This was a family vacation - grandparents, parents and a 3 year old. We were out and about and took trips. We hiked all over Dubrovnik and took the cable car. Then returned to the property or started out at the property. The host was amazing. We could always reach her. She brought us cakes and gave us goodbye presents! She had many suggestions. We felt that she went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay.

Excellent stay

We, a family of 6, stayed at Villa Sun for 5 nights and loved the villa and its owners who were exceptionally friendly and thoughtful. Tonca and her husband surprised us one day with a delicious cake and with a homemade grape liquor. The local restaurant was very nice too and we enjoyed the walk to Cavtat. We really enjoyed everything about the place and hoping to return one day. Thank you so much!

Lovely Villa and beautiful location

Best wishes from Finland! Owner Tonca and her husband were welcoming us at the airport and drove us to the Villa Sun. They gave us a tour around the villa and it's garden. It was so beautiful! After that they gave us a lift to the nearest supermarket, because it was already kind of late. And they also gave us a lift back too so we didn't have to carry anything back. That was helpful and nice thing to do. The Villa was very nice and functional and the pool area was great!! The property was clean and tidy. We also liked that there were no traffic noise, locatian were very quiet and private. The Mocici village is small - only 300 people live there. There is one supermarket and one restaurant near, only 10 minutes walk from the Villa. The supermarket is open everyday at 9.00 p.m. The Domestico restaurant was great! So friendly and the food was very tasty. I think we ate there four or five times during that week :). The Cavtat village was very beautiful, much bigger than Mocici. We walked from Villa to the Cavtat couple of times. It took us about 45 minutes. The "road" was kind of hard to walk, but forth it! Couple of times we took a taxi. Uber-taxi was cheeper than the normal taxi's and so easy to use! Install the app from play-store. Hopefully someday we can come back to this Villa. We left peace of our heart at Croatia and to this Villa! Thank you Tonca of your hospitality and caring. We had a great Holiday with you :).

We would endorse all the lovely comments already made by previous reviewers and are pleased to say nothing has changed. Tonca and her husband were wonderful hosts from the moment they met us at the airport right through to wishing us well on our departure. No point in repeating what has already been said but would like to mention the wine and food left for us on our arrival late in the evening and the wonderful cherry cakes left for us mid stay. We would suggest having a car to make the most of visiting the surrounding area but you could walk to a good local supermarket and restaurant (open all day) in 10 minutes and there were bikes available to cycle on the quiet local lanes if you wanted to. Although near the airport the villa is in a quiet and lovely setting as you can see from the photos and is the ideal base for a relaxing holiday or to venture out from to explore. You can drive around the whole Konavle valley area in a day and Molunat on the coast was a lovely place to have a coffee before heading back inland. Everyone we met was extremely friendly and as ever embarrassed us with their ability to speak English while we struggled to manage a few words of Croatian. Milni on the coast on the way to Dubrovnik was more of a town but really worth a visit too and of course Cavtat is a lovely place to walk around and stop for a bite of lunch or a drink. All in all Villa Sun is a lovely place to stay if you enjoy a relaxing holiday away from crowded hotels but within easy reach of places of real interest. We would look forward to returning. Tonca and her family are among those special owners who care about each guest as if they were the first staying in the villa.

Absolutely perfect!

We had a fabulous 2 week holiday at Villa Sun! Toncha and her husband are amazing hosts - a welcome platter of meat and cheese on the table when we arrived, wonderful cake during our stay and a leaving gift too! The villa has absolutely everything you could need, from shower gel and shampoo to all the kitchen condiments and cooking implements you could possibly want. A beautiful pool and garden made for relaxing days and Toncha also secured a hire car for us so we could travel a little further in this beautiful area. We were given a number to ring for 'Toni' the taxi driver who was an absolute pleasure to travel with in the local area. There has been a new restaurant 'Domestico' open in Mocici village just this season and it is a great asset when you just want to walk out for a quieter night or lunch - lovely staff and great food just behind the Pemo supermarket that has most things you will need. We also walked into Cavtat, it's very scenic with amazing views, but be warned, if you decide to walk back it is very steep, so avoid the hottest part of the day! Thoroughly recommend this lovely villa for an extremely peaceful village location within easy reach of Cavtat and of course the beautiful city of Dubrovnik.
