We had a wonderful week in this unit. The space was as described and worked well for our family. The location was easy to get around and explore the island. We appreciated the beach chairs and towels. Onsite laundry was very helpful.

Pili Mai is an excellent property. We’ve stayed at various Pili Mai properties 6x now. It forces you to explore the island beaches instead of being trapped at a hotel pool. The unit had everything you needed. Well equipped kitchen, proper bedding, towels etc. we rented chairs and sand umbrellas b/c the ones provided in the unit are in need of replacement. Only two issues to be aware of. The coffee maker does NOT turn off automatically. Please be careful and turn off when heading to beach etc. the other weird thing is the airco turning off and on. You will hear a large boom every time. Once we figured it out, it was kinda comical but did startle us the 1rst night. Great unit and wouldn’t hesitate to rent again. A

Great location, great property

We recently stayed with our family of 6 for 8 nights. We had zero issues and it was really well stocked with everything we needed. It was close enough we could walk to the beach if our family split up activities for the day. We appreciated the beach chairs! Would stay again. We never used the pool because we loved the beach so much.

Beautiful condo

After a bad start, we enjoyed our stay. The problem: I emailed Vacasa asking for an early checkin. They replied that they would email me if an early checkin was possible. At 3:00pm I received an email from Vacasa apologising for the unsatisfactory cleaning. We rushed over thinking that we might have to clean ourselves. On arrival the cleaner was there and knew nothing about the email. She said she needed 20 minutes to finish and gave us towels to head to the pool. My husband and I walked back 20 minutes later, she was driving away but stopped and told us it was ready. We went up and now the supervisor was there, she told us it wasn't ready and called her boss. She gave me the phone to talk to the boss, who was very rude, accused me of arriving early while check in was at 4:00, she said she was going to ask the supervisor to leave and sounded like we were going to be refused entry and would have to find somewhere else. I argued with her over the phone, told her about the email (she said it had nothing to do with her, she was in charge of the cleaners) I told her the cleaner had told us it was ready. Again she got nasty and acused me of entering the unit before it was ready (we had asked the cleaner if we could put our perishables in the fridge, she had said it was okay). Overall, it was a horrible experience, arriving from Kona at 10:30, grocery shopping and getting supplies, receiving the email indicating the unit would not be clean, and in the end, 20 min early!

Paradise

This is a wonderful place to stay. We had 3 teenagers, a 9 year old, grandparents and parents in the group and there was more than enough space for everyone to be comfortable and have their own space. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed waking up to the sunsrise, coffee every morning on the lanai and used the kitchen a few nights as well. It was well stocked with a crock pot, rice cooker, and really anything you would need to make meals and drinks. The rooms were clean and stocked with extra blankets and towels and air mattress . There were 5 beach chairs, an umbrella, lots of beach toys and a big cooler. The bathrooms were stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The house was also in great location as we went all over the island but were so happy to call it home base. We totally recommend Kaloa Zipline! It was the highlight of the trip and only 8 minutes away. Stay here, you won't regret it

Great condo in a great location

This condo was perfect for our family of five! It was very clean upon arrival and looked exactly as it does in photos. The condo was quite spacious and the outdoor space was great (when there weren't bugs!). The master bath was nice and large and the walk in closet allowed you to keep your suitcases totally out of the way. The location was great - a quick drive to Poipu beach and the condo was well stocked with chairs and everything you need for the beach. Close to many restaurants and shops as well. Would definitely stay here again!

Great property, terrible host

This is a wonderful vacation condo that is managed by a terrible corporate vacation host. They informed us that the fridge was not working when we arrived, but I had to spend hours on the phone with people who had no authority, said they would call back and then did not, and generally had to play a lot of phone tag with a soulless corporation instead of dealing with a reasonable host. Avoid unless you like being on hold with support during your vacation.

Slice of heaven in Poipu

Our vacation to Kauai was perfect due in no small part to the perfection of the lovely property we stayed in at Pili Mai. It was very spacious and wonderfully furnished with everything we needed and more. When we go on vacation we want to stay in a place that feels just as good as our home and this property succeeded at being a true vacation home away from home. I also loved seeing the Hawaiian ruins outside the window across the parking lot. Tip for coffee and açaí bowl lovers- Little Fish down the road has delicious versions of both.

Excellent Stay

The house is updated and very comfortable. It was well stocked with misc items (laundry, bags, dishwasher soap, toilet paper etc) that you shouldn't have to buy. We slept 6 people very comfortably with lots of extra space. The kitchen and living area is very open to accommodate a large group. Shopping and dining is walking distance and we used the car to get to the beaches. However, the room does have an ocean view. It also has a large deck. Awesome stay....

A wonderful week in Kauai!

The home was exactly as advertised. A wonderful 3 bedroom, 3 bath home with all of the amenities in a great neighborhood. The full kitchen and eating area were especially nice for our family of four. We ate breakfast at the house everyday and enjoyed several takeout meals in the evening while watching a movie or show on the large TV in the family room. The home was clean, nicely furnished and 100% met our needs. It was close (3 blocks) to shopping, restaurants and Starbucks and 1 mile from more shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed 2 different beaches that were an easy 5 minute drive and spent time each day at the Poipu Beach Club as we purchased the week membership - totally worth it! If you’re looking to stay in Kauai please checkout this great home for your stay!

Beautiful, comfortable and convenient

This property was decorated tastefully and had enough supplies to last us while we were there. We appreciated the starter kit of coffee and snacks upon our arrival. All of the beds and pillows were comfortable, as well as the living room furniture. We enjoyed hanging out on the main balcony during sunset and the master bedroom balcony during sunrise. I reached out to the property manager about additional parking for an extra vehicle we had, and they responded to us immediately and were incredibly accommodating. We really appreciated the distant view of the ocean as well as some mountains in this particular condo. It's also within a short walking distance from Puka Dog. Beach gear, a washer and dryer, and air conditioning made it even better. We'd definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Condo

We stayed in the condo over the Memorial Day Weekend and really enjoyed it. The condo is very spacious, sparkling clean, beautifully decorated, and everything is brand new! All the furniture is very comfortable and the AC kept us nice and cool. The kitchen has all the pots, pans, utensils, and appliances needed to prepare big or small meals. There were only three of us staying, but it has plenty of room for a big family or several couples. We definitely would recommend it and would love to stay again, if we are in the area again.
