I understand things happen in life, so I only give a bad review if a host is unreasonable and does not try to right a wrong. When we arrived at a Poipu Sands condo in Kauai earlier this month managed by Poipu365, we were (un)welcomed with a very dirty space. Details would really gross people out, so I will spare those, but the true issue lies in the way Vicki, the owner of this company, handled the situation. She tried justifying every unclean area and wanted us to "put a blanket" over blood stained bedsheets for the night. Her listing also stated there was a pullout bed, when in reality it was an air mattress. Vicki lied about not being the manager and about a store not being open anymore that night to get new, clean sheets for her guests. She said "don't be unreasonable." She eventually dropped off new sheets, but not without our persistence and me actually having to ask would you want to sleep in someone else's blood stained sheets? Now, almost 2 weeks later, I called her to see why she hadn't responded to VRBO Cares (VRBO said she had not) and she continued to skirt around the issue and not take accountability. I am a business owner myself and would never consider treating my customers this way. She completely disregarded my legitimate concerns. I'm sure others have had wonderful stays with Poipu365, as one's true character only shows in times of adversity.
