Average stay - great location, subpar property

The location is good, but the property is not well-maintained or kept clean. The sliding doors were broken, and the rooms have limited natural light, making them quite dark even during the day, unlike advertised. Additionally, the sliding doors were unlocked and left open when we checked in, which could have allowed anyone to enter the rental property before we arrived. Overall, it’s just an okay place.

Many things need fixing

These are the problems and hassles we had during our stay. No closet or dresser in the master bedroom which was super inconvenient. The large sliding screen doors don't lock and fall off the track when attempting to use resulting in either no ventilation or no security. Master bedroom light and fan have no wall switch and use the same controller as other units; this was a big problem as someone in another unit was having fun turning our light and fan on and off constantly. Probably the same person living upstairs who stomped and paced on the thin floors all night long over our bedroom. Neither the washer nor the dryer function properly, essentially unusable. Ice maker not working. Door lock became non-operational, luckily before we locked ourselves out, and required a trip to the store for batteries. No dish towels in kitchen and no drain rack, very few hand towels and facecloths. Existing towels appeared unwashed and became unusable when washer and dryer malfunctioned. Doorbell and icemaker are broke. I received a nice welcome text by a mythical person named Katrina who never materialized when texted or called. I was called back by a gentleman from the management company, but no one ever appeared to fix the problems. This is a poorly run operation. Oh, and our rental car was hit in the parking lot, can't blame management for that. I will say the location was very nice.

OK property probably built in 70’s with updated kitchen appliances. NO AC. We got ground floor to avoid stairs (bad back/knees) without realizing this would require climbing a steep ramp all the time. NO breeze in master bedroom that has slider patio doors for windows. The screen slider does NOT lock. You either keep it open and worry about someone entering when you sleep or you close it and sweat all night. Renter beware!

Clean on the Surface but not Deep Cleaned

The location was great for what I needed, close to food and the beach, and the checkin process was seamless. The condo comes as pictured, there are plenty of fans to combat no A/C but the backs of all of them are layered in dust and muck. Both beds had stains on the sheets and pillows. My fiancé could see a stain on the headboard from across the room over FaceTime. I chose to stay in the second bedroom because the master bathroom had scum and possibly mold all along the track. The once-white towels were a dingy almost grey with some stains. From pictures this condo looks clean, but when you look closer you see the need for a deep clean.

Cleanliness Concerns

I was overall disappointed with this stay. Both bedrooms had hair in the beds, and the space overall didn’t appear clean. During our 2-night stay, one shower door and the patio door both got off track and couldn’t be used. The laundry left our clothes musty and seemed dirtier than when we put them in.The property itself was nice with beautiful views and a 15-minute walk to Poipu Beach. This was our third visit to Hawaii and the most expensive for only two nights, yet the other places we stayed were much cleaner. We didn’t want to spend much time here due to cleanliness, which was disappointing since it was the end of our trip and we were hoping to relax. It felt like the property was quickly turned over without much attention to detail.I contacted management about the issues and received a few respectful responses, but they mostly asked for more pictures and claimed the door wasn’t broken when they checked. We didn’t take pictures of the hair, as we were trying to make the most of our time and overlook the issues. I thought compensation was warranted but have received no further response. It’s been two weeks, so I’m unsure if I’ll hear back.Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again. On the plus side, the instructions were clear, and the space mostly matched the listing aside from cleanliness. The views and location were nice, but for 500 per night with fees, it wasn’t worth it.

Work trip/vacation

Over all was a nice place, and nice area. We felt safe. On arrival we did have some issues with the refrigerator water not working. The staff was informed and they set up a time for it to be fixed after our stay. Which we were thankful for. The washer was very loud and our keypad lock stopped working. Wished the pool area didn’t have a time frame and that all units came with an AC since it could get very muggy and hot at night. Wished there was a better emergency contact number when our keypad stopped working. It happen at night and we had to call the mainline which was closed and then wait till the recording gave us the emergency number instead of it just switching to an emergency line at a specific time.

Beautiful and breezy with a view.

We stayed on this property for about 2 weeks. There is plenty of space for a small family. The view from the common areas is amazing and you even get an ocean view from the condo's lanai. The rental comes with beach chairs, beach towels, and beach blankets. The in-unit laundry was a plus.
