Loke Lani in Poipu is nothing short of absolute paradise tucked into the sun-kissed shores of Kauai. Jeremy, the extraordinary property owner, was incredibly responsive and genuinely helpful—an awesome soul who turned every question into instant aloha. Inside, the ice-cold air conditioning wrapped us in crisp, refreshing comfort, a heavenly contrast to Hawaii’s golden warmth. The sparkling backyard pool beckoned with crystal-clear waters, offering gloriously refreshing swims that melted away the world. Staying at Loke Lani wasn’t just a vacation—it was a flawless, soul-reviving embrace of island perfection.

Spacious home, beautiful setting

We had a great stay, our friends were all at the Grand Hyatt but we were traveling with two younger kids and felt the house would be more comfortable and we're glad we did. It was nice to be able to make breakfast and enjoy the pool and the great big backyard outside as well as be a 8-minute walk through a pretty green belt from the hotel when we wanted to meet up with our friends.The house is huge, the closet in the master bedroom area was very large and accommodating. Kids were comfortable in their rooms, loved the books available.The air conditioners in the rooms get very cold if you want them to be, keep note that the living and main areas do not have AC so it can get very hot in the afternoon there with the doors/windows closed. Plan accordingly on whether you want to be in the air-conditioned rooms or turn the AC off and keep the doors open and fans on for a cross-breeze. Very minor issues that were resolved quickly after communicating with property manager. Main room furniture and appliances have some wear but again, we had small children so it was actually kind of nice to not stress out about it.

Amazing property

The house is very close and walkable to the grand hyatt which is perfect for a stay if you are at a conference. The location is excellent. Pictures actually do not do it justice! Easy walk to mutliple beaches. Make sure to go to breneke beach to see the sea turtles, seals, and whales daily.

Lovely house, great location

Great place to stay with family and friends. The location is amazing. Quick walk to the beach, close drive to shopping and restaurants. The pool is amazing. Wish the hot tub worked. Only negative is the living room gets hit, no central air, and the cable is not the best, but who spends time watching TV in Hawaii?

Loke Lani by Destination Kauai - Wonderful home close to all that Poipu has to offer!

Checkin process was easy and the instructions in the home were informative and clear. Hosts were very responsive and came by to address any concern (which really was minimal). House has updated features and nothing was rundown or felt used as other rentals we have experienced. Appliances are newer and functioned well. house was clean. Pantry had some items to cook with. Cookware was in good shape and had most anything you could think of. 2 refrigerators made storing ice and drinks a breeze. beds were comfortable. plenty of seating inside and out. Beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler and some toys made it nice for trips to the beach (most are less than 5 min drive). We used the boogie boards, chairs and cooler for the beach but there were plenty of options. Beach towels were available and with the newer washer & dryer, it was easy to get ready for the next day. Pool was refreshing and beautiful. Natural rock features and waterfall made it a peaceful oasis. BBQ grill had propane, was easy to use and was clean. showers and tub were very nice as was the other bathroom features. very few "rules" and they do not expect a ton of work to be done before leaving, which is refreshing. we usually keep things clean anyway and are respectful but some VRBO rentals have binders full of tasks and rules for the guests to perform before leaving. I have to reiterate that the Hosts were very accommodating and extremely nice and welcoming. Thank You!

Fabulous location. Fantastic home with everything you need. We actually never left the house one day, just layed by the pool and had mimisas! Your don't see or hear anyone else around. A garden in the middle of The Garden Island. Beautiful property which we highly recomend.

Location, location

I believe this was our 3rd time renting this home. Nice home in a perfect location - within walking distance to the ocean and a resort. Just a few miles from many restaurants and shopping. The home is well furnished and the bedrooms stay cool in the evening, although it does get a bit hot in the day in the main living area. Who stays inside during the day though? The pool is the best part!! Lovely and private. The only issues we had was with the ice maker - never worked, but management brought us a few bags of ice asap. Oh and I wish the hot tub was working again! We missed using that at night. Definitely recommend.

Nice, but a little disappointing.

Home is in a great Poipu location and nice neighborhood. Walk to beach in less than 10 min. Home itself needs some maintenance. Do not anticipate use of the pool or spa on the property itself, as the heater is out of commission and water (in Nov) is cold and not well cleaned. We were told after we arrived that the heater has not been working for over a year. There is use of the alternate pool offsite. There were a few other maintenance and cleaning issues we found upon our arrival, but the property manager was quick to respond to those issues. The house is roomy, quiet and comfortable. Worked well for family gatherings. Kitchen is large and well equipped. Be aware that there is a separate guest house on the property which also gets rented out and the driveway is shared. (Take note of that on the rental agreement)

Fantastic Family Getaway

We had a great time! This home offered ample space for our family, both inside and out. We spent most of our time either in the pool or at the nearby beaches. I would absolutely recommend this home!

Probably amazing 10 plus years ago

The process of booking was streamlined. Check in process was a bit muddled- I may have lost track of an email and has to call to get code information. Phone call promptly returned and got in to property just fine. House is hot in the afternoon, as only the bedrooms have AC. Lots of ceiling fans helped. AC in bedrooms worked fine. We had a huge problem with house flies gaining entry from the laundry room window. Whole house could use a deep clean. This was probably a very state of the art and well kept property about 10 years ago. Could use updates but seems that owners are not interested in investing in upkeep. Spa heater did not work. Management was very responsive and got it to work but then back to not working again. A bit annoying since it didn't work when I was looking forward to soaking after kayaking. Overall, ok property, not great. Would not stay at this property again. Will be back to Kauai though!

Beautiful and comfortable.

It definitely felt like we were staying in someone's "home". It smelled nice. Kitchen, absolutely gorgeous. Former guests had left unopened food & seasonings, which I think was great! (We left some, too.) The mattresses were comfortable. The master was huge & I loved how it opened up to the back patio. Otherwise the furniture was well used, but nothing unlike an average home. We felt safe in this beautiful neighborhood. Wonderful location, truly excellent. We would love to come back some time.

Lovely property with excellent pool and hot tub.

We enjoyed our stay. Location was great for reaching all parts of the island. Pool was a little chilly for the evenings (since it was November), but felt perfect at midday. Hot tub was amazing. Quite large and spacious. Lots of room in house to spread out. No AC in main living area but a nice cross breeze with open windows and ceiling fans. The bedrooms all had AC. The carpet in the master bedroom did look a little tired and dingy, but was clean. Plenty of dishes pots and pans in the kitchen. A great getaway location for our family.

Great house for a family vacation

Had a lot of fun hanging out at the house and enjoying the pool and jacuzzi. The house is well equipped with everything you need for cooking and beach chairs for you to enjoy the beach close by! It was a great time! Bedrooms have air-conditioning and the house never felt warm if you open the windows. We do recommend that the bedrooms get aired out. When we arrived our bedroom felt sticky and wet but we let it air out during the day and after 3 days it was all good! We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Amazing House!!!

Pros: This house is a dream house. Clean, private, well located, amazing back yard and pool, well stocked kitchen. Lots of places to hang out as a group, but big enough to find privacy as well. Easy walk to beach and Hyatt. I would come back here over and over again. Cons: Coffee maker wasn't the best and overflows and the grill needed a solid cleaning.

Loved it!

We LOVED our stay at Loke Lani! After spending most days on excursions, it was soo nice to come back to this beautiful, comfortable home. Plenty of room for me and the wife, our teenage boys, and tween daughter to spread out and relax. We had plans for each day in thr south of Kauai, but one day we just spent poolside recharging our batteries. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful house in an excellent location

We had an amazing stay at this home. We used the pool and hot tub daily, walked to beaches daily also. It is in easy walking distance to poipu beach where we snorkeled, swam, and saw turtles and monk seals. Brennecke’s beach is also walking distance with excellent boogie boarding. Also walking distance to a hiking trail just past shipwreck beach. The house also has access to the tennis courts which we used a few times (it cost $10 per person each time). There are lots of good food options nearby but I would recommend reservations made a month or two in advance because they fill up quickly. The house has everything you would need for a wonderful beach vacation. The rooms with air conditioning were a comfort after a long day in the sun. The kitchen supplies need updating - especially plates, salad bowls, and spatulas…that sort of thing. But that is just nit-picking. Overall this house is wonderful and great value!

Great property

We really enjoyed our stay! We travelled with 3 kids under 5 and it was perfect. There was a crib, books, toys, games and videos for the kids. Everyone enjoyed the pool. There were plenty of floats as well as chairs and toys for the beach. Shipwreck beach was an easy walk along the greenway with a stroller. The pool was a bit cold in November but refreshing in the afternoon after walking home from the beach. Poipu beach was a little further but also walkable. Great property! We will stay here again when we come back to Poipu.
