This home was fantastic for our 9 people, 3 generations, ages 4-70. It had all the kitchen appliances and utensils we needed. Though the pool is not heated, it was comfortable to use most days and the hot tub was always nice. Beds were comfortable with nice linens and pillows. We had some hiccups at the beginning (broken AC, dryer, and TV), but the host was very responsive. The maintenance team we interacted with was polite and handled each situation quickly, even considering the Christmas holiday. We spent the majority of our time in the home playing games, cooking, and swimming in the pool. Plenty of space to hang out together but also plenty of space to split apart for solitude. We found space to clean and dry our SCUBA gear! This is usually a headache, but this home made it easy! All in all, a wonderful stay.

The location of this house was excellent for our friend trip. Within two miles of many places to eat and small shops. The interior space worked great for our group of seven. The kitchen was well stocked and living room areas are spacious. The outdoor patio had a cover which well with all the rain we received. Overall great place to stay and I would highly recommend.

What an amazing home for our vacation! There was plenty of room and then some, for our family of 6 adults and 3 children. Everyone loved the pool. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cookware we needed. Each bedroom having an en-suite made getting ready for the day a breeze. Communication with the host was very easy, they provided all the information we needed and provided recommendations of things to do. We would definitely stay again!

Wow! Wow! Wow! We had the best time at Poipu House at Makalea! We were a party of 9 and had plenty of room at this beautiful, spacious home. The location is close to beaches, shopping, eateries, golf courses, etc., yet you felt like you were in a secluded getaway. We were so happy to see that the photos of this home lived up to what we experienced when we arrived. We will definitely be staying at Poipu House the next time we have the opportunity to visit Kauai.

Great multifamily Home

Despite an inauspicious beginning when the entrance code we were given didn't work, the rest of our vacation with our two sons and their families was great. Each family had their own space with beds and bathrooms. The common areas were comfortable and adequate for the nine of us. The pool was a big hit as well.

Bliss in Paradise

This is a beautiful property in an excellent location, and was perfect for our group of 7 friends. Two en-suites are separate from the main house up some stairs, each with a balcony. There is an excellent outdoor shower from the main en-suite bathroom. The outdoor areas are wonderful, with lots of seating configurations possible. One of our favorite attributes was the sound of the fountain and beautiful waterfalls providing a background to the singing birds. Everything is well appointed with a lovely island kitchen and plenty of seating for dining and conversation.We have rented a number of houses in the past and have never experience the fantastic responsiveness and determination to make one’s stay as perfect as possible. Kauai Exclusives made the arrival and departure processes incredibly easy. Every inquiry was responded to within 10 minutes and the team on site for any issue within 30 minutes (there were only two issues.Also, Kauai Exclusives concierge, Darshan, was fantastic in helping us to set up a number of excursions.

Fantastic family vacation home

We stayed for 10 days with 3 adults and 2 children. The pool and backyard was our own private oasis and spent a lot of time there. The neighbourhood was beautiful and quiet. It was close to many beaches, restaurants, and other amenities on the south shore. The inside of the home was beautiful and cozy and kitchen equipped with all possible cooking needs. The 2 upstairs suites are only accessible from the backyard, which would be great for extended family who want more privacy. The property was clean and orderly. Would love to return to this home in the future.

Amazing home away from home!

This home is stunning and is exactly as described in the listing! Our group of 9 had plenty of room to hang out together in the kitchen and living areas and the pool/outside area was incredible! The neighborhood is quiet and it is located in a beautiful part of the island right near the popular Poipu Beach. Great shopping and food nearby as well. Please note that the AC is only in the 4 separate bedrooms (not in the common living areas) and that it only works at night after 7 pm and only if you're "in" the room (it is a smart home)

Wonderful stay in Kauai

My family stayed at the beautiful Poipu House at Makelea. The house was lovely, open with tasteful and comfortable furnishings and decor. Large comfortable king suites and abundant lanai furninishing made for lots of spots to relax and enjoy the soft breezes and even the occasional rain showers. Our grandkids, 2+year old and 2 5-6year olds swam for hours in the amazing pool. We enjoying the well equiped kitchen for our meals in with lots of opportunity for take out locally. A memorable family gathering in part due to our lovely accomodation and of course who doesn't love Kauai!!

Amazing home in Poipu

Home is incredible for family, friends, or couples. Great location. The 2 additional suites do not have interior access from main home, access is from the lanai upstairs. The home had everything you need for beach, chairs, umbrellas, coolers, some snorkel gear. Perfect home for Kauai vacation! Mahalo!

Paradise Home

From the minute you walk into the front gate you are blown away by the property. We were there in January and the pool was perfect. Almost made you not want to go to the beach….but when we did, there was all the amenities we needed for the day. Everything you could think of needing was at the house. Only regret is not staying longer.
