"This was a comfortable, roomy cottage. We used it as a home base for exploring the Isles of Harris and Lewis. The owners were friendly and very responsive. This is still one of the spots we rave about after our trip. There is a great little coffee/tea/shop just at the end of the drive with a friendly proprietor and even friendlier doggo. "

"We had a great time in the Decca- the former radio navigation station in the very northwest of the Isle of Lewis. It is just some steps of the Butt of Lewis, where there is an amazing landscape with a lot of beautiful sheep."

"Traditional island cottage with everything you need for a home to home stay. Very clean and well presented, comfy beds too, always a bonus. Situated at the north end of Lewis it’s quite remote but amazingly peaceful. Limited places to eat out and you need to book well ahead but the local restaurant does takeaway in the evenings and it’s two minutes away in a beautiful setting above the harbour and beach. If you want to get away from it all and have a comfortable base this could be the place for...

"Our stay was wonderful. The house was extremely comfortable, and the location was absolutely beautiful. It was perfect as a base for exploring the island, and the host offered lovely touches with the helpful restaurant suggestions and provided grocery basics. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to the island."

"The property was exactly as it looked in the pictures, it was airy, clean and spacious with lots of room for the whole group to get together but plenty of quieter space for some 'me time'. We already know the island and have lots of family there and Jan and Callum offered to come and extend our table if they were coming over, asked where we needed safety gates and provided top class toddler safe equipment. The weather was great so we made very good use of the local.beaches and garden too. Great...

"Excellent host - not intrusive but keen to help where able. The property is clean and welcoming and provides a good base to explore Lewis (and Harris) Good easy walks available locally from the property but also a good site from which to experience the island (I cannot vouch for the public transport situation)"

"Great property. Nicely decorated and has everything you require. Very comfortable beds! The service provided around setting the log fired hot tub was really great. The fact that the house has an enclosed garden made it perfectly safe for our dog to laze about outside too."
