  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Walkable, beautiful, serene!

All communication with Henry was super quick, honest, and reliable. This was our first family trip with my parents, my sister, my husband, and our two boys ages two and under. My parents are older and I was a little nervous about any kind of walk to the beach with them and our two boys.However, we all had absolutely no issues with the very quick straight walk to the beach access. The house was more spacious than we even anticipated but it still felt homey. We look forward to future stays here! Oh, and I can’t forget about how amazing the views of the trees were… I have never seen anything like it.

OBX Duck House

The property was very well maintained with ample living space for multiple families. It was nestled between the trees with a spacious deck and a very, very quick walk to the private beach. And a ride to Duck shopping.

Duck Fore Ever

We booked the home for a family trip that included 2 small children and 5 adults. The property was very much as described. Wonderful home very near the beach in a quiet area that really could make you forget just how close you were to the busier tourist area and all the amenities that go with it. The hosts were great! Provided an interesting history of the area along many tips on places to eat and things to do that truly helped us make the most of our stay.

We had a wonderful stay. The home was beautiful and spotless. Henry is extremely organized and very quick at responding to our questions. Perfect for our stay!

This was our second trip to Duck, and our second in Sanderling and this property did not disappoint! Plenty of room for two families without being crowded, and close proximity to the beach. We would definitely stay here again!

Everyone loved it

As soon as we walked in everyone felt comfortable. The house was clean and very well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Every room was easy to relax in. The canopy of trees made the front porch comfortable even in the heat of the day. The location of the house is a small neighborhood that does not get a lot of traffic. It is a short walk to the beach so we just walked back for lunch each day. There are walking trials on the main drag that are nice for running or cycling. The owner was quick to respond when we reached out. Everyone loved the house and would be more than happy to stay there again.

Relaxing and Special!

Many thanks for an incredible stay in the OBX! The home was beautiful. It was perfect for three couples and our 12 month old. We had a relaxing time and thoroughly enjoyed the beach -- in early May, we had pretty much the whole beach to ourselves. The neighborhood is gorgeous and perfect for walks or runs. We loved everything about the home and our time. We can't wait to be back again! Thank you!

Our favorite home in Sanderling

Our family love this this house and are repeat renters. Short walk to the beach pond and sound. Also the kitchen is well equipped and makes cooking very easy. We can’t wait to go back !

Excellent Experience

Went for our annual girl’s road trip, and couldn’t have been more impressed with the cleanliness, decor, and location. This beautiful house made us feel welcome and comfortable, and had all of the necessary attributes to make for a wonderful experience. Large, comfortable home with great location!

Our family visited the Outer Banks for a family wedding. The home was in a very quiet neighborhood, and extremely easy beach access. The home was exactly as pictured … clean, spacious, enough room for us and our grown children and spouses! Would definitely recommend! My only suggestion is to add a Keurig.

Great stay!

We enjoyed our week at Duck Forever. The house was very comfortable and cozy, with all of the necessary amenities. The kids loved staying and playing in the bunk room. We made fantastic dinners in the large kitchen. The house is just a quick walk to the beach - where we spent most of our time. Would recommend to others.

Best House Ever

I fell in love with this house before I even entered it. Location, communication with the owner, and proximity to the beach all exceeded my expectations. The owners thought of everything to make this home feel like a true vacation home.... high-end but comfortable. I hesitate to say more because I don't want anyone more to discover this gem! Seriously 10/10 on all accounts.

Perfect family beach house

This beach house was fantastic! It was spacious, beautiful, and well-equipped, just as the description listed. Great property

Our recent stay at this property was great. The house was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Walk to the beach and around the neighborhood was simple.
