  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The property’s location was amazing! Woke up to beautiful sunrises every morning! There’s nothing like experiencing an ocean front home. The house itself is decorated so nicely and very spacious! The only complaint was the outside of the home could use a little TLC and cleaning. Putting that aside, wouid definitely rent here again!!

Overall good location and beach access. The house needs a thorough deep cleaning! The lower level has a very distinct musty smell with mold on all of the vents in bathrooms. The layout of the house is good for a family vacation but it is dated and needs some repair. Ants were a problem in the dining and living area. I cleaned dried food out of the microwave immediately after arrival. We had a broken shower valve, called on Wednesday to report and it was not fixed before we checked out on Saturday. For the rental price, this is a subpar property. The photos online look much nicer than the reality.
Dirty chairs in living area. Faded but also sort of sticky and dirty.
Dust on the headboard in upper master bedroom. It has not been dusted in a long time.
Good beach access but not for anyone with limited mobility as you need to walk down the dune to the beach.

AAAA OUTSTANDING...WITH DOLPHINS

You just can't ask for anything better! The location, the view, the house, the beds, the beach, the sunrise, the dolphins, the property manager...all 5 star! One morning we saw 70 dolphins swim past us over a 2 hour period. We saw dolphins on 5 of the 7 days. Sunrise, morning coffee and baby dolphins putting on a show. How could you ask for more? Plus we found many great restaurants. I can't wait to go back!

Paradise

This is our this year in a row coming to this house in January. Even though the beach is a little cold, we love the quiet relaxed atmosphere. We practically have the beach to ourselves. Always have great quality time with family in a beautiful house and quite neighborhood.

Relaxing luxury

Our family had the best stay in this lovely home with its own private boardwalk to the beach, comfortable beds, and well appointed kitchen! We had everything we needed to make wonderful memories in a gorgeous location!

Perfect Week Away

First time visiting the Outer Banks and It was a wonderful trip. The house couldn’t have been better. Plenty of deck space to see the sunrise and watch dolphins. Being right on the beach made it easy to grab things we forgot. The kids loved playing on the beach and the open floor plan made it very easy to have plenty of room for a movie night. The check in process was very easy and the location was great. You are just far enough away from all the tourist spots, but close enough to make a spontaneous decision. All in all it was a great trip and we would definitely stay again.

Winter on the beach

We had a fabulous time at this house. It was clean, great views and accessibility to beach and exactly as advertised. It was set up perfectly for 3 couples with good spaces and a well equipped kitchen. We were there to experience winter on the beach, snow and all! Thank you for a great time.

Beautiful House in a wonderful location

This property is exactly as pictured with a little more wear and tear in some areas. The house was very homey and well equipped. The kitchen especially was beautiful and had everything that you could need. We spent a lot of time outside on the gorgeous deck too. There was an iron and hair driers even though we were told that the property was not equipped with them. The view is amazing and the beach location is fabulous. I would stay here again with our extended family. In fact, we are hoping to go back sometime. The only complaint that we had is that the property could have been a little cleaner. The silverware had food stuck on it and the drinking glasses weren't very clean. I do not really like the procedure of the guests before you being responsible for that. We washed every glass, dish, and utensil that we needed before we used it. While the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, etc were clean, the place needed a deep clean. There were cob webs and spider webs on the ceilings of several room, the ceiling fans were dusty, the corners of some of the rooms had a few dead flies, etc. Nothing to prevent us from coming back, but it was definitely not spotless. That little inconvenience was okay because the house and location are so nice. I would definitely recommend this property.

Gorgeous house fantastic location

We stayed in this house for a week in March. The home is just gorgeous. Amazing views in all directions and it gets so much light. The beach is right out then door. It’s a really nice beach with a large amount of super soft sand. The house is in a quiet neighborhod about 8 minutes north of downtown duck. We loved being in a quiet location but still close to many restaurants and amenities. We were working and doing school remotely and the internet connection was great.

The house was perfect- Amazing views!

House was great- perfect size for 2 families. Furnishings very nice and kitchen very well equipped. Views of ocean from every bedroom and main living space. Quiet area but close to the fun stuff in Duck. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Views in a Perfect Location

The gorgeous views from the wrap-around deck can't be overstated. What a joy it was to spend our afternoons and evenings on that deck, watching the world and sea life go by. We genuinely loved this beach house....it has a family feel, with lots of love and history throughout. And the location can't be beat! I would definitely stay here again. In fact, now that we can work from anywhere, we are looking to rebook in August or September (p.s...the wifi is quite strong, and more than sufficient for 3 people downloading large files or on video calls).
