Perfect stay for quick get away trip

This was a perfect stay for a quick get away. Our host was so nice and checked on us after check in to make sure everything was okay and to let us know she was available should we need anything. I would definitely return!

Great location, Good option

The place was very clean and close to the beach/restaurants. There was nobody on staff to check in, they just sent you a code to use on the door. It was an old renovated hotel that had decent furnishings. As others have mentioned the floors are not level and the entry doors are very old. All around good option.

Picture Perfect

Awesome getaway weekend! Location and cottage was perfectly located for our golf getaway! Plenty of room at the cottage and very clean. Pool area was relaxing and access to the beach was directly across the street. Easy access in and off the island.

Cottage 10

The property owner was extremely kind and responded quickly to all questions that I had. The cottage was very clean and recently remodeled. It is steps away from the beach. The pool was quiet and clean. The other people staying there were nice families and it was a very safe environment. I stayed for 6 days and it was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend and I will stay there again. It was better than advertised :)

Perfect Place!

We were a little nervous when we booked because the price was reasonable and it was right across from the beach, but we were VERY pleasantly surprised when we walked in!! Very clean and nicely redone units! Loved that each bedroom had their own bathrooms. Short walk to the beach and short distance to lots of restaurants and shops. We were in Unit 10, which is the second level. It’s got great views of the pool and you can see the ocean as well. Just as a heads up for those coming, there is a laundry facility on premise, but it’s shared and does take quarters (I somehow missed that part and had baseball uniforms to wash so it was tricky). The kids want to come back when it’s warm, and if we ever do come back to the area, I would definitely book again!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great location, needs some maintenance

If I could give a 3.5 star rating, I would. It was better than a 3, but it was not a 4. The check-in and check-out process was seamless and easy. The location was so close to the beach. They even had the towels folded nearly on the beds, and put a nice little welcome package with dish soap, extra TP, some coffee, etc. But there were ants in both bathrooms. The blinds were smaller than the windows, so it wasn't as private feeling as I'd wish. The bathrooms don't have vent fans, so paint was peeling and a shelf losing it's lining in one of the bathrooms. The floors were unlevel in some spots. And the sheets were washed with a verystrong detergent that was overwhelming to smell when sleeping. When the staff communicated they were very friendly and pleasant. I did have trouble getting them to respond a few times. We only stayed one night, but I don't know that I would pay the rates to stay here a full week. So overall, it was Ok, but I would not recommend it.

Cutest OBX Condo

This was the cutest little beach condo! We had the best time staying here with easy access to the beach, pool, restaurants, and the grocery stores. It was clean, quiet, and just the perfect size. Parking was easy and there was easy communication with the property owner for any questions or help. Highly recommend staying here for a good OBX experience.

Quaint Cute Cottage

We had a lovely time at the Saltaire Cottages. The proximity to the beach made for an awesome experience. Check in process was a breeze, everything was very clean, and the screened in porch was perfect for eating outside on rainy days. We fully expect to be back next year.

Great location, disappointing facility

The location was great. The facility was very run down and poorly maintained. I don’t mind older, vintage but the maintenance was poor. Management would make promises and not follow through. One couple having to walk through the bedroom of another couple was not great. The second bedroom should not have two queen beds in it perhaps a bunkbed and a queen so there’s room for nightstands or a chair. The facility was quite disappointing but the location was great and we had a good time.

Saltaire Review

Property is showing some age but is in a great location! Listing didn’t acknowledge that you had to walk through a bedroom to get to the 2nd bedroom. This posed a bit of an issue. I also feel that more utensils are needed. Wine opener, potato peeler etc! All in all we enjoyed our stay!
