The house was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with more than adequate dinnerware, pots and pans and tools of the trade. The private pool and hot tub were delightful and a big hit with the family. The location was perfect !

Great find!!

We loved the house, the pool, the location, and ease of getting to the beach. Everything you need was included in this property. Would recommend it 100%. Our family had an awesome vacation at Duck Haven!

Great spot, decent rental

The location of the home is great! The beach is a five minute walk and the town of Duck is totally walkable. The house itself has some drawbacks. The kitchen is VERY small which did not work well for my family of 13. Some of the mattresses were terrible and dipped in the middle. The pool was small and the beach chairs were broken. We were able to make everything work but for the price I was hoping for more.

Family vacation

Everyone enjoyed their stay. Owner replaced charcoal grill that was reported as broken right away. Check out needs a little work on explaining the locking of the doors. Other then that it was a great time.

Wonderful Experience!

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Duck Haven! The house was very clean, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the layout worked very well with our group of three families. The pool was a good size for younger kids (one- to seven- year-olds in our group) and the hot tub was brand new and fit six adults comfortably. We also enjoyed having the sand portion in the back yard. The decorations were a fun touch too. In the words of my 7 y/o, Duck Haven was “SUPER EPIC!” 🤩

Great location for Duck

We are use to staying ocean front, but this was still a great little property in Duck. It would have been nicer with the community pool open. Some of the descriptions of the property and amenities were misleading, such as location of the pool and distance from the beach. Items also need updated. There was one beach wagon and two beach chairs that were broken. The description listed outside of where the paddle was located was not correct. We had to contact the company to have help to find it, because it was also placed on the wall backwards. It looked like a decoration rather than the remote attached to a paddle. The cleaning was not great. The bedding at stains, and you could tell the one cover had bodily fluid stains left on it. Another bedroom had the cover thrown up in the closet in a ball and clearly not washed either. The silverware was left in the dishwasher dirty. My family and I have been vacationing on the Outer Banks for 30+ years. It was not our least favorite but not our favorite either. We appreciated the friendliness of the realty company, as they helped us in a timely manner and were great!

Great Time with the Family

My wife and I took my daughter and her 3 kids to Duck Haven. It was a great spot. All enjoyed the pool and hot tub. House I very well equipped fro family entertainment. Could not have been better. Had a great time. Cheers for now.

Great 1st time vacation

We were first timers to OBX. House was reasonably priced. It’s way bigger than the pictures! Gave us plenty of room to spread out. Pool is a little on the small side but we were one of the only ones in the development to have a pool. That was the game changer! If we book again in this neighborhood it will definitively be this house or another with a pool! We also appreciated the extra stuff it came with that saved us from having to bring it. Beach wagons, crab pots, beach chairs, pool toys, etc. thank you for that! It’s not ocean front, but a short 10 minute walk and you are there!

Great stay with family

I would enjoy staying here again. Very nice pool and hot tub. The owners have added some nice touches. Pool area wired with stereo sound, ample outdoor lighting, beach carts and chairs were fantastic. Enjoyed access to sound and ocean. Nice community pool area. Plenty of seating for dinner table. Gorgeous decks and ample seating and hammocks. Kids enjoyed the bunk room and playstation 2 provided. Stereo upstairs with input from phone, towels and linens provided. Outdoor shower was awsome! Plenty of cookware and utensils. Enjoyed electric large skillet for making multiple pancakes easily.. Basketball hoop. Welcome basket! There were so many things that just made it easier. The worst thing I found with the whole place was one of the upper bunks was pretty squeaky with movement and the shower heads could be upgraded. All in all this was a fantastic place!
