"The property is unfortunately in a rough neighborhood and may not be safe at times to leave the hotel and walk around. The staff are friendly and helpful. The WIFI is good. Restaurant food is good. The maid service was not good. They didnt listen to instructions well,would gorget soap, or towels, or remove our water and not replace it."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Ciala Resort. The grounds are lovely. The rooms are comfortable. The food is good and the staff are EXCELLENT (kind, thoughtful and attentive).
We were in Kisumu for a wedding and didn’t spend much time at the property, but in the moments we had we enjoyed the pool and the gym. Breakfast was good with both local and international choices. Dinner was better.
Unfortunately, on our last day my son got sick. The staff were so helpful. It was early in the morning before...

"After making a reservation as per, usual as a couple with a teenage daughter, when we arrived, we were told that in order to get the suppossed free rollaway bed as is usually shown in the reservation description, this time it would cost 2k more to get the bed or the three people could just share one bed. The manager refused to speak with my husband and I personally so we had to leave and come back later. Finally, they agreed to include the bed at no extra cost and the manager did end up offering...
