Wish we had stayed a couple of nights more. Maria and Niko were great. Personal touch - guided us with detailed notes on beaches to visit and areas to avoid crowds. The food at their restaurant across the street was good. Overall, the best location to stay if you are visiting Elafonissi beach

The hosts - Mario and Niko were amazing. It is a family owned and run establishment and it shows. Terrific location. Spectacular hospitality. Great kitchen. Excellent “places to see” recommendations. Glykeria is a rare gem.

This was an amazing experience. Picked it because it’s the perfect jumping off point for Elafonissi and surrounding beaches. But what surprised me most was the incredible hospitality and family feel—the owners had hand written me a note with all the important locations and spent time explaining anything we’d need to know. So friendly, I was blown away.

Nous avons séjourné deux nuits dans cet hôtel. Halte fortement recommandée si vous voulez aller à la plage d’Elafonissi. Merci à Maria et Nikos pour leur accueil ! Ils sont au petits soins pour leurs clients, ils prêtent même des parasols pour ne pas trop brûler sur la plage… Toujours de bons conseils sur les alentours et même sur la poursuite de votre voyage On recommande fortement

Staff were amazing (particularly Maria and her handwritten list of recommendations!) - the pool was a nice size and overall quiet location at night. Rooms were a good size and lovely sunset views across to the sea. Convenient location and if you have a car, everything is very accessible and a short journey away. Breakfast was simple and expensive for what it was (the avocado on toast was circa 8-9 euros for avocado and tomatoes on a store bought square piece of toast), but it’s not included so guests can get provisions from the supermarket which is a 10 mins walk away down the road.

The property was beautiful, clean and well equipped lovely products in the bathroom, fresh towels and great breakfast. Maria and Nikos were the perfect Cretan host with all the warmth and kindness that only the Cretan’s can offer . We temporarily lost our car key they jumped to help us, collecting us from the salt lake pouring balm ( wine ) to soothe our troubles and then returning us to the salt lake and our vehicle , once we had realised we had stashed the key in a beach shoe thank you guys you really saved us Much love and warmth Annie & Lee x

Glykeria was truly a special place. We were greeted so warmly by Maria that we instantly felt welcome and at ease. She was incredibly thoughtful, having written down all the recommendations for us before our arrival and making sure that we have everything we needed. The rooms at the hotel are cosy, the beds and pillows are very comfortable and the view from the balcony is absolutely gorgeous. The Glykeria restaurant is right across the street from the hotel serving delicious meals to any taste. It is popular amongst all visitors, and a dinner reservation is strongly recommended. The hotel is very conveniently located next to the amazing beaches including the renowned Pink Beach which is indeed breathtaking! At Glykeria, we felt that our every wish and question was accommodated with sincere consideration and care. We hope that some day we will come back to this awesome place!

Such a great local family run property. We enjoyed our stay here so much. The only thing we would have done differently is stay another night. The food was delicious at their restaurant and the view at sunset incredible. I mean the view anytime is incredible. Such a fun hike in their property with cute signs and goats along the way. Gave us some recommendations on other spots. Pool was refreshing after the hike. Accommodation so nice and comfy. Coffee was amazing in the morning and we loved the host and his wife. So nice. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Rooms were very clean. Staff was amazing! Maria and her husband Nikos are some of the best hosts we’ve ever met. She gave us a list of nearby beaches, provided beach towels, water and offered umbrella as well. Updated building and you can definitely tell their attention to detail in caring for it. The view and sunset from the room was beautiful! Their restaurant across the street had delicious food (had diner & breakfast) and very convenient and their staff was excellent.

The staff is SO friendly and helpful (thank you for the secret beach recommendations, Maria!). The restaurant is amazing, and we loved having breakfast there every day. We had a great time.

A wonderful visit on Cretes Wild West coast to friendly, happy & helpful Maria & Nikos operating his family’s third generation hotel & restaurant on a quiet hill overlooking Stomio Bay. It’s just 10 min drive from the beautiful pink sand Elafonisi Beach plus other pretty beaches. Nice clean stay wished we’d had more time to visit!

This hotel design is like out of an architecture digest. Very modern interior with comfortable bed and amenities. Maria is a super friendly staff. Gave us good advice on local attractions.
