"All together a lovely place to stay with very welcoming hosts. thank you very much."

"A nice hotel that just needs a spruce up. Basic room that had ‘old lady perfume smell’ but clean. Friendly staff. Limited bar. Small but adequate breakfast buffet. Looks more like a retirement home than a hotel."

"Stayed at this hotel"

"I wasn’t driving and it was only a ten minute walk from the main shops and fifteen minute walk from the bus"

"A beautiful property. You can see they've really maintained the elegance of the house. There were just a few small things like the ceiling was a bit cracked, the faucet cap was missing, and the toilet needed to be pumped in order to flush. But the staff were great and the food was very good so all in all, I would recommend it as a place to stay."

"Amazing breakfast, lovely people, everything we needed and more. We would definitely stay again."

"Older hotel and it shows. It’s a small town though and it’s what I expected. The glorious view from our room was worth it though."

"This is a gem in the cute little village in Alford. The staff, rooms, bar and restaurant were all great. Highly recommend this hotel."

"Very helpful staff. Beautifully maintained property. Very comfortable bed. Delicious restaurant downstairs. Convenient location. Easy onsite parking. Would definitely stay here again."

"Booked a twin and double room. Rooms clean and well appointed with a communal kitchen area for use by guests. Did not use breakfast service as we left in the morning before the hotel staff had arrived. Only small complaint was that the staff were unable to open the connecting door between the 2 rooms which would have made things a lot easier. "

"Staff, service and food were exceptional. Would definitely recommend."

"Amazing stay will definitely stay again"

"Fantastic place to stay. Lovely couple who Can’t do enough for you. Great breakfast lovely clean friendly place. Highly recommend"

"Breakfast acceptable when the tables were cleaned. We had some sort of generator outside our window that was very noisy. Toilet difficult to flush. Shower was poor for pressure and volume of water. No shower mat, so extremely slippery. Electrics were strange. Certain things/ lights on one circuit, so had to turn everything on. Handle to room was coming off the door, so not secure. For the money, there are better places to stay. Had a second week booked but cancelled."

"Our third stay in the apartment. As usual a very handy place in the centre of the Village. Lovely pub next door."

"Phenomenal stay at the Sail Loft. I stayed a few nights after the Kadampa meditation retreat and absolutely loved my stay. The location is excellent, amazing walking opportunities and the beach is a 30 second walk from the front door! You can get whatever you need from the coop in town. The place is well heated and all cooking and cleaning amenities are provided. Place was spotless on entry and had everything I needed. Amazing price too 10/10 & I’ll be back soon"
