"We went by car. The traditional Japanese house had been beautifully and thoughtfully renovated, making it both charming and easy to use. The kitchen and shower room were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. We had a barbecue in the garden, and everything was provided for us except the ingredients—it was perfect. The ocean was just a short walk away, and at night we enjoyed the sounds of summer insects and a sky full of stars. We would love to stay here again."

Room I stayed in was modern and recently built or renovated. This ryokan has its own bath. Staff at check in was very nice and helpful. They do let you know that staff after a certain time in the afternoon do not speak English and there is an 11:30 PM curfew - they lock the doors. "The staff treated me so well. Working with me even with a language barrier. After a few weeks of the Tokyo and Osaka life, that place was a slice of heaven, my only regret was not staying longer. The baths were nice, the place was super clean. Transportation to get there is a bit difficult, but that I think is what makes this place attractive, since it's in such a nice, quiet part of Japan. Going there during the Sakura season was amazing too. "
