This was the perfect home for our last minute getaway. We only needed to worry about food because the kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. We have stayed in this area 4 times and this is my favorite river/water access for kayaking and playing in the sand. The pool is amazing. It was too cold to fully enjoy it but you hardly see pools this deep. Look forward to staying again.

We had a nice family holiday getaway. The house is spacious and we were able to spread out and relax inside and out. It was unseasonably warm, so we enjoyed the outside seating. Watching the deer out front each afternoon was a nice treat. We cooked most meals at the house and the large kitchen made it easy to do. The only issue was that the microwave seems to be on its last leg and was limited in functionality. A few other things in the kitchen could use a refresh, but overall it was well-equipped. Beds were comfortable and we liked being able to connect our phones to the built-in speakers. Would stay again when it's warm enough to enjoy the pool.

This house was wonderful! There was a bunk room for all the kids, comfortable beds for the adults, and a wonderful pool to relax in. The river & scenery was peaceful...just know there's no dock, but the river is great at the house. Oh, and the kitchen was to die for!!!!Honestly, we will probably try to stay at this place again at some point. It was so great!

Wonderful stay! Beautiful kitchen with everything in it. I’m definitely booking this place again. Steve the owner was so quick to return my messages about any questions I had. I’m super excited to get my family together again to spend another wonderful weekend. The pool was amazing and everyone was so happy to cool down on a nice summer day. Thanks again Steve! Mini Get Away

Wondering time with friends and family

Location was perfect. House and pool and beach area were awesome. Had some trouble with the AC and the fridge, but thankfully the owner stopped by and was extremely helpful. I would book again.

Beautiful home!

We really enjoyed staying at this property! The kayaks were fun to take on the river and the pool and hot tub were a hit with our teens. The kitchen is stunning and had lots of dishes and cookware. The kitchen fridge didn’t cool well, but there is another full refrigerator and several beverage fridges to use! The beds very super comfortable; the bathroom showers were roomy and had great water pressure!

Great spot to get away

Really enjoyed our stay here. The house is very comfortable and well equipped inside. Our favorite part though was the outside area. Great sunsets and the pool was awesome. In the late afternoon the pool gets some shade which makes it really comfortable out there when it is a 100 out.

Hurricane Beryl Changed Our Plans

We were headed to a beach rental when the hurricane changed our plans. We found Sandy Feet Retreat and realized this place would be a great plan B…and it exceeded our expectations! We loved how nice the whole inside of the house and all the amenities this house has. The pool is fantastic….8 swims in 4 days….we loved it. The kayaks and hot tub were an added bonus. Highly recommend this place!!!

Loved Sandy Feet

We stayed for the weekend before dropping some of our children off at camp. The property was as described and very comfortable and quiet. The layout is great for a family and the pool was a big plus. We also really enjoyed the kayaks though it was a little difficult to get them to the water. We will return.

Amazing house

A wonderful house and property, perfect for our family get away. The location was great and so peaceful, we loved playing down by the river. The kids loved playing in the pool and hot tub, and looking at the stars at night. The house was well stocked with everything you would need and very clean. We will be staying here again next time we travel that way.

Best Pool!

So easy to get in and we were immediately impressed by the space. The living space is so incredibly perfect for family living. Large kitchen and dining area with room to move around. The pool is PERFECT! Coming from Boston we don't have a lot of pool months. I could have spent every moment of our week there and would have been content! We had 5 adults in the house and we had so much space. We didnt even use the kids bunk room but I could see how little ones would greatly enjoy that space. It was a bit difficult to get the kayaks into the water, but we were able to manage it. The water levels were low but that may be just because of the time of year we visited. Once in, there saw lots of fish, turtles and we even saw bald eagles flying overhead! We greatly enjoyed our time in their home! 4.8 stars!!

Beautiful House and Pool

The house was perfect for our family and friends. Enough bedrooms and the living area was large enough for us to enjoy all being together. The pool was awesome, kept us cool in the hill country heat. The owner was quick to respond and answer any questions we had. Thank you for a great weekend. The lake was dry at the end where our house was located, but it did not stop us from enjoying the pool.

Relaxing weekend

Great getaway. Fun weekend with family to relax and catch up. Pool was nice and refreshing and good kitchen for preparing meals together. Plenty of space too stretch out. Great communication with owners. Accidentally threw out our clothes in trash bin and called owner and he is working to get them and return them.

Good little get away

Good place to go with kids to have pool time. Only downfall with the pool is the light goes off around 930pm. So little ones couldn't swim anymore. Was gonna swim for a long time since we only had for the weekend. Took the kayaks out for a bit but its a long drag to the water. House was great. Beds good. Crazy Gals cafe in kingsland is a must.

Family Retreat

Relaxing

We looked for a place that was relaxing and peaceful for the adults, and had outside fun for the kids. We found it in this home. There was something for everyone here. We enjoyed how open the house felt. The backyard and pool was amazing and refreshing. We enjoyed the kayaks, and fishing in the river as well. There were a couple of things about the home I wanted the owners to know when we got there, and they responded right way. Great communication. Thank you for the wonderful vacation.

Family Hill Country Getaway

Our family of 6 really enjoyed our stay! It was a great location for short trips to Marble Falls, Fredericksburg and even Austin. We went to the Texas Longhorn Caverns, Marble Falls for shopping and Bluebonnet Cafe pies, easy few minute drive to the lakeside burger restaurant and groceries. The house had storage for days and a well stocked kitchen with all tools/pans needed. The kids finished every night in the hot tub and we always enjoyed the sunset off the back patio. Hosts were east to get a hold of and answer any questions. Overall a great trip!
