The cottage is fantastic! I booked it for my wife's 40th last November and we enjoyed it so much that we returned again this year for my sister's 40th. The cottage is well equipped. The kitchen has all the things you need, plus more. A nice big fridge was a bonus for the meat we froze and brought down with us (pro-tip, meat is not great on any Caribbean island, so bringing your own in a checked cooler frozen is worth it), we then froze the fish we caught and brought it back in the same cooler. They have great air-conditioning units that are a plus at night in the bedrooms. During the day we just vented the blinds on the windows and turned on the fans. I liked having a good tv that I could log my streaming services on (make sure and log out before you leave!). We had a couple of fun island movie nights. The view is fantastic. This is one of our favorite island getaway places we have visited and we would love to come back. The restaurant down the road, The Landing, makes very good island fare and the staff is great. Cane Bay has some of the best snorkeling and diving on the island and its right down the road. The only downside I can think of is the road up to the house can be a bit of a challenge. I would definitely rent a 4wd suv and throw it in to low gear going up and you will be fine. The hosts are great, the house concierge (Annabel) is awesome. The location is a dream. Do yourself a favor and don't sleep on this one if you're thinking about St. Croix.

House was very welcoming, neat, and clean upon our arrival. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities. The grill worked good, too. The bathrooms were all stocked with shampoo/conditioner, body wash, and hair dryer. Washing machine and dryer were wonderful to have for clean laundry for trip home. The AC worked well and kept room cool. Host and Shera were wonderful. Would recommend to anyone who wants privacy and seclusion. We would stay here again.

Our stay at Cane Bay Cottage was absolutely amazing. As a couple, we have stayed at many rental properties through the years and this one was definitely one of our best experiences. The only place to start and end this review is with the view – it was breathtaking. This house was perched on a steep hill overlooking Cane Bay. This was the kind of view that people typically hike for several hours to see and only enjoy it for as long as they stand at the top. For the week we were there, we were greeted by the view from the moment we woke up and the only work to get there was a bit of a sketchy drive, but not that bad. We honestly didn’t take any other hikes while we visited the island because the view from our house was impossible to top. The home itself was very well done and had everything we needed for our week there. We dined in a couple of nights just because we didn’t want to leave. The private pool was a really cool bonus and allowed us to swim and enjoy the view. Annabelle (the concierge) was a super cool person, and her assistance was quite unique (never had that before) and made our arrival unbelievably easy. I honestly can’t think of one thing I would change from our stay except to stay longer! I cannot emphasize more emphatically that if you are considering Cane Bay Cottage, stop thinking and book immediately!

We had a great time and enjoyed our visit. It was helpful to have Anabelle meet us at the airport and guide us to the home while pointing out the grocery store and activities. We did quite a bit during our week stay despite losing about a 1/2 day due to weather. We initially had a mini van as our rental car and switched to a jeep due to the incline up the mountain and driveway. We made it no problem with the mini van but felt more comfortable with a jeep.We spent time in Frederiksted jet skiing tour, snorkling, touring a gin factory and eating at Rhythms at Rainbow Beach. Highly recommend a bite to eat at La Reine. Food was excellent. We also had lunch at Mt. Pellier Domino Club with the beer drinking pigs. We hiked at both Pt. Udall (after watching the sunrise) and hiked to Annaly Bay tide pools. We enjoyed the Sea Thru Kayaks and bioluminescence tour, played 18 holes at Carambola and had dinner locally at both Landing Beach Bar and Off the Wall. Would have liked to try Ama. In Christiansted we did the 1/2 day snorkle tour to Buck Island, shoppped and had dinner at Brew STX one night, Duggans Reef and drinks at Rum Runners. Highly recommend Duggan's Reef. Also enjoyed relaxing time at the house using the pool and eating breakfast overlooking Cane Bay. The views are stunning, the people so friendly and inviting. Anabelle was always around to answer questions and it was great having a washer and dryer on site. We did not need to bring shampoo, laundry detergent.

Family vacation

We had a fabulous time with our 2 adult children and their spouses for one week and then my husband and I enjoyed a lovely 2nd week by ourselves.The view is spectacular, we enjoyed the beach below, loved that we could sit in the shade so stay as long as we liked. The food truck was great.We were met at the airport by Annabelle who guided us to the house (pointed out the grocery store on the way)and helped get us settled with a quick beverage, gave us a few suggestions on beaches & resturants.We took advantage of all the island has to offer - 3 highlights - catamaran sail to Buck Island for snorkeling, Sandy Point Beach and the hike to the Tide Pools. A great spot! Highly recommend.

Chill and comfortable

The owners went above and beyond to assist us in all our needs at Cane Bay. Having concierge guide us from the airport was invaluable. The home was so comfortable and well appointed. It was so easy to unwind. The only jump scare was the trek up and down the hill to the property, but with 4 wheel drive, it all worked out. We will always look back at our stay fondly!

Great stay

The property was just as the pictures showed. Well stocked bathrooms and kitchen. Beautiful views and great mid island location. We enjoyed all the restaurants at Cane Bay beach and went to the breakfast trailer one day. We were very happy we switched our sedan to a jeep, not just for the house but the whole island. The greeter was very helpful meeting us at the airport car rental line, directions and tons of great information.. Thank you!

My wife's 40th Birthday Bash.

Cane Bay cottage was awesome! What a treat is was to stay there and experience St. Croix. Annabel, the concierge was most helpful and met us right at the airport and showed us the grocery store, local area and the way to the house. Normally, I wouldn't think this service would be needed but it definitely helped and was very useful. We lucked out with the weather as it was the end of hurricane season. I would definitely recommend a 4 wheel drive car rental. The road up to the cottage can be a bit challenging the first few days. Our group really enjoyed a day boat trip out to Buck island. The coral was incredible and there were quite a few turtles and plenty of gorgeous fish. The cottage was kept up very nicely. The air-conditioning worked well and all the showers, etc. Having stayed at quite a few island properties, this is not always the case... We loved the pool and the views of the bay. After spending a few days going all around the island, we realized that the best beach for hanging out and snorkeling was right in front of us the whole time! Make sure and spend some time right there in the bay. I would 100% recommend a stay here and hope to return soon.

Our family of 4 had an amazing stay at Cane Bay Cottage. The listing photos and description are completely accurate. The furniture, beach chairs, kitchen items were all great. There was nothing we needed that was not provided. Annabel the host was great from start to finish. She was very responsive and made us fantastic rum punches upon arrival at the home. I highly recommend this rental!

This was our 5th extended vacation in St. Croix but our first time at Cane Bay Cottage. We loved everything about this property. It was clean and well equipped. The views were breathtaking and the panoramic vistas were always changing and simply mesmerizing. It was very private and we loved that. We were nestled in the beautiful cottage high on the hillside with nothing but nature. Waking up to that view from the master bedroom was a highlight of the trip. The owners were wonderful to deal with and extremely responsive. Annabelle was wonderful and gracious on island. The road, with its 3 hairpin turns was one of our favorite parts. We have not one negative to say. Cane Bay Cottage is truly a gem and we nicknamed it Paradise. We are hoping to repeat the same 18 days next year. Jeff and Cassandra, thank you for opening your beautiful home for others to enjoy!
